Florence A. Weimerskirk
Former Arrow Lane resident
Florence A. Weimerskirk, 94, formerly of 10 Arrow Lane, died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, in St. Francis Home.
She was born Jan. 23, 1904, in Fostoria, to Louis and Sabina (Solari) Botto. On May 28, 1940, in Notre Dame Chapel, Notre Dame, Ind., she married
Howard E.Weimerskirk. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1998.
Surviving are a nephew, James E. Boulboulle of Fostoria; a niece, Brenda Weimerskirch of Tiffin; and several great nieces and nephews.
A sister, Helen B. Boulboulle, is also deceased.
Mrs. Weimerskirk, a St. Wendelin High School graduate, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.
A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, where the rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Msgr. Edward Dunn will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Catholic cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the funeral Mass on Saturday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.
Christopher P. Massie
Fremont Plastics employee
Christopher P. Massie, 25, of TR 75, Green Springs, died at his residence, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998.
He was born in Toledo, Aug. 27, 1973, to Benner H. Jr. and Lona L. (Twiss) Massie. His mother survives in Clyde.
Survivors also include: his fiance, Margaret M. Snouffer of Tiffin; three brothers, Timothy M., Thomas M. and Richard L. Massie, all of Clyde; three sisters, Tina Roeser, Teresa Barger and Tanna Massie, all of Clyde; and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were his father in 1991; his grandparents and a niece.
Mr. Massie, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tififn, was employed as a machine operator for five years at Fremont Plastics.
Services in the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home, Fremont, will be 2 p.m. Saturday.
Visitation at the funeral home is 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Lula Rachel Vandergriff
Clyde homemaker
Lula Rachel Vandergriff, 93, formerly of Hill Street, Clyde, died in the Arbors of Clyde, Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998.
She was born in Red Bank, Tenn., Aug. 23, 1905, to Jack and Laura (Price) Gadd. On June 21, 1923, she married
Jacob Vandergriff. He died Jan. 23, 1987.
A daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hill of Ellabelle, Ga.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, survive.
A son, Jacob N. Vandergriff; and a daughter, Edith Brackett, are also deceased.
The last of her family, Mrs. Vandergriff was a homemaker and a member of the First Missionary Church, Clyde. She had resided in the Clyde area since 1950.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, with the Rev. Richard Studebaker officiating. Burial will be in Bakertown cemetery, Clyde.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Dorothy M. Ludwig
Ames Department store retiree
Dorothy M. Ludwig, 70, formerly of 686 S. Sandusky St., Lot 43, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, in St. Francis Home, where she had resided for two years. She had been in failing health for three years.
Mrs. Ludwig was born in Silva, Mo., April 14, 1928, to Clecy C. and Jeanette L. (Ackerman) Kiger. Her husband, Irvin C. Ludwig, whom she married
Jan. 12, 1980, died Dec. 1, 1995.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. Delmar (Sandy) Swander of Maumee, Mrs. Dan (Sharon) Waters of Tiffin and Mrs. Jody (Billie Jean) Clermont of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Cy Conner of Tampa; three step-sons, James I. Ludwig of Marblehead, Mike Hemmerly of Tiffin and Clayton Hemmerly of New Riegel; and six grandchildren.
A daughter, Zala; and a brother, Robert Kiger, also are deceased.
Mrs. Ludwig, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, McCutchenville, retired as a clerk from the former Ames Department Store. She also worked at San Mar Pharmacy.
The Rev. Roy Howell will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Saturday memorial service in the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore. Burial will be at a later date. The body has been cremated.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church or St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
Genevieve R. Widmer
Tiffin homemaker
Genevieve R. Widmer, 79, formerly of 7 W. Market St., died at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, in Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Ink, to Rush and Inez (Stuckey) Bridinger. Her first husband, Harold Gaster, died May 19, 1998. Her second husband was Woodrow Downs and he died March 1, 1983. She later married
Paul Widmer, who died March 14, 1996.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. David (Patricia) Hoover of Tiffin; a brother, Rush Bridinger Jr. of Tiffin; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Chalmer, Gerald, Merlin and James Bridinger; and three sisters, Josephine Nusbaum, Wanda Bare and Dorothy Swander.
A homemaker, Mrs. Widmer was a member of the Protestant Faith and a charter member of the Tiffin Eagles Auxiliary.
Services in the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. David Culp officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Barbara C. Donaldson
Homemaker/nanny/caretaker
Barbara C. Donaldson, 75, of 6020 W. CR 592, Fostoria, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born in Augusta, Maine, March 10, 1923, to John and Alta (Reeves) LeClair. In 1965, she married
John W. Grove Jr. He preceded her in death in 1965. She later married
Rolland H. Donaldson, and he died in 1977.
Surviving are four sons, Jack W., Ralph E. and Roger Sr. Grove, all of Fostoria and Kenneth W. Grove of Gibsonburg; two daughters, Sandra Grove of West Lafayette and Susan Boyd of Wintersville; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Donaldson, a homemaker, also had been employed as an aircraft builder for Lockheed in California, as a nanny and a caretaker for the elderly.
She served as a weekly helper at the Fostoria Sharing Kitchen.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where visitation will take place 1:30 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be private.

Anna Louise Johnson
Former Fostoria homemaker
Anna Louise Johnson, 78, formerly of 1102 Central Ave., Fostoria, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, in the Winebrenner Village, 415 College St., Findlay, where she resided.
She was born in Ruston, La., Jan. 22, 1920, to Alfred and Minnie (Lewis) Jones.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda J. Moore and Mary L. Johnson, both of Fostoria; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, John Johnson; a daughter, Kathy Johnson; three brothers, Thomas, Rutledge and Booker T. Jones; and two sisters, Valorie Jones and Gracie Johnson.
A homemaker, Mrs. Johnson, attended the First Baptist Church in Fostoria.
Services in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria Chapel, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Franklin R. Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home is 7-9 p.m. today.

Garnet E. Vroman
Former homemaker
Garnet E. Vroman, 87, of 25 Christopher Drive, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria, where she resided.
She was born in Bedford County, Pa., March 16, 1911, to Wilson and Pearl Ellenberger. On March 22, 1929, in Continental, she married
Orvis W. Vroman. He died Sept. 1, 1963.
Surviving are: three sons, Richard Vroman of Camden, Mich., Herbert Vroman of Columbus and Bill Vroman of Fostoria; a daughter, Janice Vroman of Fremont; three brothers, Fred and James Ellenberger, both of Burgoon and Wilson Ellenberger of Fremont; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Hilma Vroman; a brother, Shell Ellenberger; and two sisters, Gail Holt and Gladys Flora, also are deceased.
Mrs. Vroman was a homemaker.
The Rev. Russell Gumm will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Smith cemetery, near Burgoon.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Maxine D. Bennett
Fostoria Industries retiree
Maxine D. Bennett, 84, of Fox Run Manor, Findlay, formerly of West Shore Drive, Findlay, died at 6:53 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born in Putnam County near Leipsic, Dec. 26, 1913, to Edward and Susie (Rader) Walsh. On July 15, 1942, in Cleveland, she married
Ralph A. Bennett. He died Sept. 13, 1965.
Surviving are a son, Thomas Bennett of Eustis, Fla.; and two brothers, Wally Walsh of Findlay and Henry Walsh of Leipsic.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Maurice, Robert and Ralph Walsh; and a grandson, Jamie Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett, a 1931 graduate of Leipsic High School, retired in 1978 from Fostoria Industries, where she had been employed for more than 20 years.
Memorial services are at 1:30 p.m. today in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home today.

Jeanne C. Kramb, 68, of 230 W. Center St., Fostoria, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
She was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Toledo, to the late Henry and Laura (Burns) Gardiner. Her husband, Carl R. Kramb, whom she married
Nov. 18, 1950, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Mark Kramb of Findlay and Lewis "Tony" and Philip Kramb, both of Fostoria; five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Carla) Plouck of Wayne, Mrs. Michael (Elizabeth "Beth") McFarland of Montville, Mrs. Todd (Amy) Burns of Fostoria, Mrs. Greg (Meghan) Gillian of Risingsun and Marci Kramb of Toledo; and nine grandchildren.
A daughter, Christie Hipsher; a son, Steven Kramb; and a half-sister, are also deceased.
A homemaker, Mrs. Kramb was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and Women of the Moose 1567, both of Fostoria.
A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, where the Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rosary recited at 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Home Health Care of Fostoria Community Hospital.
Helen Ethel Long
Former Tomb Street homemaker
Helen Ethel Long, 91, formerly of Tomb Street, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in St. Francis Home, where she had resided since March.
She was born in Tiffin, Nov. 6, 1906, to Charles and Ethel Serene (Wise) Werley. On July 22, 1922, in Monroe, Mich., she married
Charles V. Long Sr. He is deceased.
Survivors include: four sons, Charles V. Long Jr. of Santa Clara, Calif., Carl R. Sr. and John A. Long, both of Tiffin and Donald W. Long of Kettering; a daughter, Nina L. Stalsworth of Tiffin; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Marloh ofLas Vegas, Nev.; and a sister, Ida Birr of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by a son, William E. Long; a daughter, Beatrice M. Long; two brothers, Harrison J. and Charles W. Werley; and five sisters, Nina Masloch, Dorothy Brady, Mattie Wolf, Gladys Schindler and Lillian Oberlander.
Mrs. Long, a homemaker and lifetime resident of Tiffin, was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Larry Smith and the Rev. David Powell will be the co-officiants at the 10:30 a.m. Friday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
