Jean L. Trapp
Jean L. Trapp, 85, 42 Blair St., Tiffin, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at her residence.
She was born June 23, 1917, in Toledo, to the late Raymond and Louise (Platt) Graveldinger. Her husband, George L. Trapp, whom she married
in November 1936, died in 1972.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret (Ron) Culver and Mrs. Susan L. Feasel, both of Tiffin; two sons, Mr. Richard B. (Katie) Trapp and Mr. Joel L. (Patty) Trapp, both of Tiffin; Tiffin; 11 grandchildren: Jodi Papp, George Trapp, Becky Lang, Richard Trapp II, Ericka Barrett, Jennifer Moore, Matthew Feasel, Dana O'Quinn, Jamey Feasel, David Culver and Jennifer Phillips; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A son, George R. Trapp, and a brother, John Graveldinger, are deceased.
Mrs. Trapp, a graduate of Columbian High School, retired from the Tiffin Center in 1983. She lived most of his life in Tiffin and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Turner-Engle Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Ottilie Wahl
Ottilie Wahl, 81, of 173 Ohio Ave., Tiffin, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Elmwood Assisted Living at the Shawhan.
She was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Ispringen, Germany, to Robert and Emma (Schilling) Schaufelberger. They are deceased.
On Jan. 30, 1971, she married
Otto Wahl in St. Johns UCC in Tiffin. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1997.
Surviving are: two sisters, Lottie Rothfuss and Mrs. Gerhard (Erna) Eberle, both of Germany; a brother, Karl Schaufelberger of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wahl was a motorcycle and bicycle mechanic, and a goldsmith while living in Germany.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Seneca Memory Gardens Chapel with the Rev. David Culp officiating. Entombment will be in Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
There will be no visitation.
The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald R. Kemenah
Donald R. Kemenah, 48, formerly of South Park Ave., Republic, then Autumnwood Nursing Home in Tiffin, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
He was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Fostoria, to the late Francis and Deloris G. (Durst) Kemenah.
Surviving are: two brothers, Harold Kemenah and Stanley Kemenah, both of Fremont; and two sisters, Vickie Clevinger of Fremont and Jane Sharp of Helena.
The funeral will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17 in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
William J. Wolf
William J. Wolf, 93, of 30 Goodsell St., Tiffin, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Elmwood At The Shawhan.
He was born July 15, 1909, in Tiffin, to the late William V. and Evelyn (Kerschner) Wolf. In 1932, he married
Catherine E. Gleason, in Fremont. She preceded him in death in 1980.
Survivors include: a son, William C. Wolf of Wash., D.C.; a daughter, Beverly Simmons of Tiffin; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Elizabeth Kistler of Tiffin.
A graveside service at Oakwood cemetery in Fremont will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Eugene Wagner
Eugene Wagner, 70, of 6560 CR 6, New Riegel, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, in St. Catherine's Care Center of Fostoria.
He was born May 13, 1932, in Clyde, to the late Dewey and Dolly (Waldon) Wagner.
Surviving are: children, Brenda Ludwig of Tiffin, David E. Wagner of Upper Sandusky, Keith A. Wagner of Fostoria, John E. Wagner of LaGrange, Ga., Chris J. Wagner of Tiffin, Karla J. Brown of Toledo, Ricky D. Wagner of Sandusky, Jackie L. Wagner of Tiffin and Craig D. Wagner of Nevada, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and seven step grandchildren; and three sisters, Wilma Holmer of Titusville, Pa., Bernadine Hoover and Dorothy Wagner, both of Clyde.
Mr. Wagner was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home in Tiffin. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens where graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Alma Margaret Niver
Alma Margaret Weisenauer Niver, 77, of Tiffin, died at 8:17 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at her daughters home. She was born March 16, 1926 in Bloom Twp., Seneca Co., Ohio to the late John C. and Rose (Dannemiller) Ball. Mrs. Niver was first married
October 29, 1952 to Raymond J. Weisenauer whom preceded her in death on March 27, 1975, then on December 2, 1989 she married
James Niver whom preceded her in death on June 21, 2002.
Mrs. Niver was a homemaker and graduate of Bloomville High School, Class of 1944. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiffin and former member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Mrs. Niver enjoyed flowers, gardening and playing cards.
Mrs. Niver is survived by two sons, Ken (Deb) Weisenauer of Bellevue and Joe (Cathy) Weisenauer of Lykens; two daughters, Jane (Jeff) Losey of Tiffin, and Marj (Gary) Voorhees of Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren: Jason, Jamey and Josh Losey; Aaron, Adam, Andrew and Markie Weisenauer; Ilea and Toshia Hanrick. Adam is currently serving in the Marines and is stationed in Iraq; three sisters, Irene Frost of Lykens, Rita Bentz of Tiffin and Gertrude (Gene) Durnwald of New Washington.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Ball; and a sister, Victoria Schoen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2003 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, St. Stephens with The Rev. Joseph Szybka and Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will be in the St. Stephen's cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica.

Joseph A. Panuto Sr.
Joseph A. Panuto, Sr., 73, of 424 South Monroe St., Tiffin, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 in the Emergency Room of Tiffin Mercy Hospital. He was born March 11, 1930 to the late Paul and Antoinette (Perna) Panuto. On April 24, 1954 he married
Jacquelyn Kimmet in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin, and she survives.
Also surviving include: Sons & daughters-in-law: Joseph A. (Janette Y. O'Conner) Panuto II, and James A. (Jacqueline D. Gatton) Panuto, all of Tiffin; two daughters, Janice LA Panuto of Findlay, and Jacquelyn L. Panuto; a son, P. Jerard Panuto; son & daughter-in-law: John E. (Sheri A. Roper) Panuto, all of Tiffin; a brother, Dominic Panuto; four sisters, Nina Shireman, Mary C. Kerschner, and Mrs. Jack (Carmella) Hufford, all of Tiffin, and Mrs. Paul (Rosemary) Creutz of Walbridge; a brother, John is deceased and his wife, Mary Panuto survives; 16 grandchildren: Joseph Panuto III, Jacquelyn Panuto, Sara Panuto, James Panuto, Shana Panuto, Rachel Panuto, John Panuto, Jacob Panuto, Katelyn Vanderhof, Kelsea Panuto, Bailey Gatton, Nicole Panuto, Mikayla Dariano, Josh Panuto, Austin Panuto, and Jeremy Dariano; and a great grandchild, Chiara Panuto.
Mr. Panuto attended St. Mary Grade School and Calvert High School. A U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict with four years of service. He was a machinist for Webster Manufacturing Company for 21 years, and also worked for National Machinery for 10 years. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with The Rev. James K. Say officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., tonight, at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. Military Graveside Service conducted by the United Veterans Council. The Rosary will be prayed at 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to Calvert High School Tuition Fund and/or to his family.
Sue A. Beeman
Sue A. Beeman, 84, passed away Friday. April 4, 2003, at the Cherokee County Nursing Home in Centre, Alabama. She was born on September 25, 1918 in Bloomville, Ohio, daughter of the late John (Jay) and Minnie (Bradley) Valentine. She was married
to Harold Beeman on July 14, 1940 in Bloomville. They then moved to Bakersfield, California in the mid 1940's, where they lived until shortly after her husbands death on November 23, 1991. She then relocated to Centre, Alabama to be near her grandchildren.
Survived by: a daughter, Wanda (Ray) Ramey of Centre, Alabama; two sons, Arthur of Lynnwood, Washington, and Michael (Inez) Beeman of Centre, Alabama; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Cleone Lynn of Massillon, Ohio and Leona Miller of Tiffin.
Preceded in death were: her parents; husband; four brothers, Raymond, Mervin, Ernest, and Harvey Valentine; and a sister, Cleora Kiser.
There will be a graveside memorial service held at a later date at the family's convenience at Pleasant View cemetery, County Road 6, near Bloomville.
Donald R. Kemenah
Services for Donald R. Kemenah, 48, formerly of Republic, who died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin, will be at 7 p.m. today, April 11, at the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home, Fremont, where visitation will take place 6-7 p.m. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Steven W. Bilbrey
Steven W. Bilbrey, 37, of Sycamore, died on Thursday, April 3, 2003 as a result of an auto accident on SR 53, outside of Fremont. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
Beverly A. Ruse
Beverly A. Ruse, 53, died at Bay Medical Center, Panama City, Fla., on Saturday, March 22, 2003. She had been a resident of Florida for about 10 years moving there from the Tiffin area.
She was born to John P. Ruse and Anna M. (Myers) Smith May 24, 1949. She is survived by daughters, Kathy and Beth McDole; sons, Keith McDole and Hondo Everhart; five grandchildren; (all reside in Florida) plus two sisters, Lucia Ruse and Mickie Bloom; two half sisters, Angela Smith and Mary Hall; and eight half brothers, Chuck, Bob, Tony, John, and Shelby, Keith, and Matt Smith, and Jim Ruse.
Thelma Aldrich
Thelma Aldrich, 72, of 718 Kentucky Ave., Fremont, died Friday, May 30, 2003, in Fremont.
She was born Oct. 29, 1930, in Green Springs, to Floyd Ivan and Correne (Heffner) Aldrich.
Surviving are: nieces and nephews; three brothers, Robert Aldrich of San Diego, Calif., Paul Aldrich of Las Vegas, Nev. and Russel Aldrich of McCall, Idaho; and a sister, Helen Jones of Green Springs.
Preceding her in death were: her parents; three brothers, Howard, Richard, Daniel; and one sister, Esther Plihall.
Ms. Aldrich was a 40 year resident of Fremont. She was a graduate of Green Springs High School, Class of 1948. Ms. Aldrich was retired from General Electric in Bellevue. She organized the first Girl Scout troop in Green Springs and was an assistant leader. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed bowling, golf and Nascar races. She was a former member of the Womens World Soft Ball League.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at the Engle-Young Funeral Home in Green Springs with the Rev. Jared Williams officiating. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ruth Ann LaSavage
Ruth Ann LaSavage, 74, of 20 Howard Ave., Tiffin, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at her home.
She was born May 2, 1929, in Bascom, to Arthur and Ruth (Hartsel) Schultz. In 1947, in Angola, Ind., she married
Thomas W. LaSavage.
Surviving are: one son, Thomas A. LaSavage of Boulder, Colo.; one brother, E. R. "Bud" Schultz of Tiffin; two sisters, Jane A. Ecos of Tiffin and Nancy K. Beaumont of Sylvania; special friend, Bill Baltzell of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Thomas W. and Andrew M. LaSavage.
Preceding her in death were: her husband and her parents.
Mrs. LaSavage was a 1946 graduate of Calvert High School. She retired as Director of Seneca County Board of Elections; and contractor, Secretary/Treasurer for H. and S., Inc.
She was a member of the P and M Club.
A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003, at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating and Eulogist Mike Baltzell.
Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert High School or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Herman J. Lauterbur
Herman J. Lauterbur, 82, of 686 S. Sandusky St., Lot 5, Tiffin, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born June 3, 1920, in New Riegel, to Samuel and Agnes (Schirack) Lauterbur. On July 18, 1958, in Angola, Ind., he married
Inez Lucius. She survives.
Also surviving are: one son, Gary J. Lauterbur of Tiffin; one daughter, Mrs. James (Deborah) Rapp of Bettsville; three grandchildren, Christopher (Melonie) Rapp, Nicholas (Tera) Rapp and Mrs. Don (Jennifer) Speicher; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Shawn and Matthew Rapp and Trey Speicher.
Preceding him in death were: his parents, four brothers, John, Albert "Pete", Robert and Sylvanus Lauterbur; two sisters, Mrs. John (Dolores) Swing and Mrs. James (Anna) Schetter.
Mr. Lauterbur was a machine operator for two years at Specialty Forming and for Sterling Grinding Wheel for 25 years before his retirement in 1983.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mr. Lauterbur was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of American Legion Post 169.
The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2003, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Schroeder officiating. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Boniface cemetery in New Riegel with military honors conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
