Jesse F. Yambert
Jesse F. Yambert, 85, of Elmwood at the Shawhan, Tiffin, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at the Elmwood at the Shawhan.
He was born May 4, 1917, in Wyandot County to Cecil and Myrtle (Boomershine) Yambert. He married
Margaret E. (Phillips) Yambert in Napoleon on Sept. 5, 1942. She died Dec. 8, 1996.
Surviving are: four sons, Mr. Kenneth A. and Juanita Yambert of Tiffin, Mr. David L. Yambert of Fostoria, Mr. Gary W. and Jacqueline of Fremont, Mr. Robert F. and Lynda of Toledo; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister, May Cathrine Miller.
Mr. Yambert was a retired farmer and retired from American Standard after 37 years. He was a lifetime resident in the area. Mr. Yambert was a graduate of McCutchenville High School Class of 1935 and served during WW II in the U.S. Army Aircore. He was an avid camper.
He was a member a 4-H advisor for 40 years, UCC dart ball team, UCC Consistory, Little League coach. the Jr. Fair Foundation and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or Heartland Hospice.
Richard Collins Hess
Richard Collins Hess, 60, of Sand Ridge Road, Bowling Green, died Tuesday morning at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Findlay to Raymond and Rosemary (Chamrod) Hess. He married
Sue (Fehlner) Hess on Oct. 4, 1985. She survives in Bowling Green.
Also surviving are: two sons, Sean of St. Augustine, Fla., Andy of Bowling Green; two daughters, Holly of Holland and Kelly of Bowling Green; a brother, Tim of Tiffin and a sister, Bobbie Hess of San Francisco, Calif.
Mr. Hess was Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in the St. Aloysius Church.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Ralph A. Frankart
Ralph A. Frankart, 85, of 285 S. Sandusky St., Tiffin, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at St. Francis Care Centre, Green Springs.
He was born July 13, 1917, in Tiffin to the late Charles and Louisa (Frey) Frankart. He married
Miriam L. Alsip in Trinity United Church of Christ on July 9, 1944. She survives in Tiffin.
Also surviving are; a son, James R. Frankart of Tiffin; two daughters, Elizabeth (Tom) Paulus and Lorraine L. Frankart, both of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Michael Paulus, Mrs. Heather (Ken) Price, John and Samuel Frankart; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alyssa, Taylor and Tyson Price; and a sister, Mrs. Helen (Fred) Selm of Cincinnati.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Frankart and a sister, Alice Phipps.
Mr. Frankart, a 1936 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, retired from ITT Abrasive and Sterling Grinding Wheel Company. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking, camping, garage sales, flea markets and playing cards. He also was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and Trinity Twosomes.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 at Trinity United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Roger Perl officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the Turner-Engle funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Memorials contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or a charity of the donor's choice.
Jesse F. Yambert
Jesse F. Yambert, 85, formerly of 5795 W. TR 110, Tiffin, died at 3:05 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in Elmwood at the Shawhan, Tiffin, where he resided.
He was born May 4, 1917, in Wyandot County, to the late Cecil and Myrtle (Boomershine) Yambert. On Sept. 5, 1942, in Napoleon, he married
Margaret E. Phillips. She died Dec. 8, 1996.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Saxton of rural Tiffin; four sons, Kenneth A. Yambert of Tiffin, David L. Yambert of Fostoria, Gary W. Yambert of Fremont and Robert F. Yambert of Toledo; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Yambert served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Flossie Diane Musgrave
Flossie Diane Musgrave, 80, of 216 W. South St., Carey, died 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in the Heritage in Findlay.
She was born June 24, 1922, in Paintsville, Ky., to Dallas and Fannie (Caudill) Risner. She married
Carl Allen Musgrave on July 23, 1945, in Wooster. He died on July 8, 2001.
Surviving are: six sons, Carl Henry Musgrave of Findlay, George Edward Musgrave of Baytown, Texas, Clyde Allen Musgrave of Carey, Ronald Joseph Musgrave of Falston, Md., James Roy Musgrave of Carey and Paul Allen Musgrave of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a daughter, Carla Diane Stevens of Carey; 30 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Evelyn L. Eingle
Evelyn L. Eingle, 88, of 214 S. 4th St., Upper Sandusky, died 7:44 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 23, 1913, in Upper Sandusky to Francis and Mary (Kettel) Jenot. She married
Gerald R. Eingle on April 10, 1948, in St. Peter Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. He died Dec. 5, 1991.
Surviving are: two sons, Thomas Eingle of Marion and Charles Eingle of Tiffin; a daughter, JoAnne Yeater of Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. A Bible Scripture Service will be 3:30 p.m. and a CLC Memorial Service at 7:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Wayne J. Thaxton
Wayne J. Thaxton, 93, of Kansas, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
He was born July 7, 1909, in Vinton to Virgil and Cora (Russell) Thaxton. He married
Clara "Geraldine" Kissling June 21, 1931, in Risingsun. She died June 21, 2002.
Survivors include: three sons, Carl of Fostoria, Glen and Dale of Risingsun; two daughters, Marilyn Fillhart of Fostoria and Carolyn Fry of Old Fort; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Thaxton of Kenton; and four sisters, Juanita Neer of Woodstock, Virginia Millice of Springfield, Helen Peterson of Bellefontaine, and Kathleen Winger of Yankton, S.D.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Liberty cemetery, Seneca County.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Richard R. Keller
Richard R. Keller, 77, of Luther Lane, Gibsonburg, died Thursday night Oct. 31, 2002, in St. Charles Hospital, Oregon.
He was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Toledo to Ray "Bubbles" and Christina (Keller) Overmyer. In 1951 he married
Norma Marie Fisher and she died in 1985. He then married
Marjorie Furry in January of 1988 and she survives in Gibsonburg.
Other survivors include: three sons, Kurtis Keller of Michigan, Dennis and Mark Keller both of Gibsonburg; a daughter, Jane Beckley of Fremont; two step-sons, James Fairbanks of Helena and Philip Fairbanks of Gibsonburg; a step-daughter, Katherine Shull of Gibsonburg; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and in the Air Force during the Korean War and the Berlin Air Lift.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg with burial in Oakwood cemetery, Fremont.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Nopper-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg where Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, and one hour prior to the funeral at the church Tuesday.
Rev. Harry L. Adams
The Rev. Harry L. Adams, 91, of 11304 Bobwhite Lane, St. Mary's, Ohio, died at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at his residence.
He was born June 28, 1911, in Marion, Ohio, to Harry L. and Armida (Clark) Adams and they are deceased. He married
Evelyn (Snyder) Adams and she died. He then married
Martha (Noble) Stanford Adams Nov. 18, 1995; and she survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Rev. Neldon Adams of Edgerton, Ohio; a daughter, Marla Fuller of Anderson, S.C.; two step-daughters, Nancy Stanford of Newark, Del. and Kay Soloman of West LaFayette, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, Marvin Adams, also is deceased.
He was a 1929 graduate of Johnsville High School; retired as pastor of Washington Street United Methodist Church; attended the uniting conference in 1968 in Dallas, Texas; active with the spiritual life committee; also served on the Presidents Council of Otterbein St. Mary's.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in the Washington Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will be in Shauck cemetery in Johnsville, Ohio.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Otterbein St. Mary's Retirement Community.
Dale H. Mareches
Dale H. Mareches, 74, of 780 E. Twp. Rd. 122, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at his residence.
Arrangements are pending at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Terry Harmount
Terry Harmount, 60, of 83 S. Marion St., Bloomville, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Middletown to Richard and Ada (Grissom) Harmount. He married
Charlene (Warren) Harmount on June 15, 1974 in Temperance, Mich. She survives in Bloomville.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Charlotte Johnson of Columbus; two grandchildren, Catherine and Colin Johnson, both of Bloomville; and two sisters, Julie McArdle of Burbank, Calif. and Nancy Hall of Palm Dessert, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ada Harmount.
Mr. Harmount worked in radio and television productions and was a graduate of Middletown Fenwic High School class of 1960. He also graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in communications.
He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus in Republic. He also taught religion classes at the church and was a member of the choir.
Funeral will be 11 a,m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a Rosary service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Harold B. Stockmaster
Harold B. Stockmaster, 79, of 7762 Marion-Melmore Rd., Sycamore, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 3, 2002, at his home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Havana, to Lawrence and Margaret (Miller) Stockmaster. On Oct. 24, 1942, he married
Ila (Smith) Stockmaster. She survives in Sycamore.
Also surviving are: two sons, Benjamin and Kenneth Stockmaster, both of Sycamore; two daughters, Marlene Brown of Fremont and Marilyn Jenkins of Sycamore; a sister, Mardell Leddick of Attica; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers..
Mr. Stockmaster was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Tiffin VFW, Post 2258 and the Sycamore American Legion, 169. He was an avid collector of old cars and Indian motorcycles. He also enjoyed horses. He was a former rodeo judge and bullrider.
Mr. Stockmaster retired in 1985 as a maintenance man at the Pioneer Rubber Co. in Attica and he also farmed. He had also worked for the B&O and Pennsylvania Railroad as a section worker.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka and Rev. Brian Spangler officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Bloomville. Military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council of Tiffin.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care.
Crystal Marie Bach
Crystal Marie Bach, 16, of 3213 S. SR 53, Tiffin, formerly of Cranberry Township, Penn., died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 9, 1986 in Portsmouth, Va. to Jeffrey and Victoria (Mehetic) Bach. They survive in Cranberry Township, Penn..
Also surviving are: her foster parents, Kevin and Kelly King of Tiffin; a brother, Matthew Bach of Cranberry Township, Penn.; and two foster sisters, Kyrsten and Kaylee King, both of Tiffin.
Miss Bach was a student at Hopewell-Loudon High School. She was employed at Bob Evans in Tiffin as a hostess and was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home in Tiffin, with the Rev. Scott Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church cemetery in Lancaster Township, Penn.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Old Fort United Methodist Church.
James R. Weinheimer
James R. Weinheimer, 46, of Lima, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Nov. 1, 2002. He was a case manager for the Allen County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
Jim was born in Cincinnati on June 14, 1956, a son of Barbara Ann (Guilfoyle) Weinheimer of Clyde and the late Howard J. Weinheimer Jr.
A graduate of Clyde High School, he later graduated from Heidelberg College, where he was a member of Alpha Phi Tau men's fraternity. Prior to working with the Allen County board, he worked at the Tiffin Youth Center.
In addition to his mother, Barbara, he is survived by three brothers: Thomas (Deb) Weinheimer of Castalia, William "Willie" Weinheimer of Fremont and Nicholas (Wendy) Weinheimer of Clyde. He also is survived by: five sisters, Barbara Jane Kiser of Fremont, Nancy Rhode of Green Springs, Joanne (Keith) Rohde of Clyde, Teresa Fosnight of Fremont and Paula (Brian) Gordon of Clyde; 24 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Donald and Patrick.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with a Rosary at 8 p.m. at the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, 318 S. Main St., Clyde. (419-547-6616).
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clyde. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church cemetery.
