Lois Bowser
Lois Bowser, 80, formerly of Oak Harbor Rd., Fremont, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Arbors of Clyde.
She was born May 21, 1922, in Fremont, to Arthur and Mattied Kolbe. On May 26, 1949, she married
Homer Bowser. He is deceased.
Surviving are: a son, Timothy Bowser of Clyde; a daughter, Judith Widman of Romulus, Mich.; a brother, Norb Kolbe of Romulus, Mich.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at McPherson cemetery, Veteran's Section. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery.

Hilda G. Fox
Hilda G. Fox, 97, formerly of Kiwanis Manor, Tiffin, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
She was born June 19, 1905, in Tiffin, to William and Matilda (Strauss) Ready. She first married
Ralph W. Fox in Monroe, Mich. He died in 1970. She then married
William A. Fox in 1973. He is deceased.
Surviving are: a daughter, Phyllis Gittinger of Tiffin; five stepchildren; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and 25 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three sons, Kenneth, William and Richard; two sisters, Mildred Riddle and Irma Shuler.
Mrs. Fox was a psychiatric aide for the Tiffin Developmental Center, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn cemetery. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:30 -11:30 a.m. in Barnes Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be to Community Hospice Care.

Mary G. Ellenberger
Mary G. Ellenberger, 86, formerly of Burgoon, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 22, 2002, at the Arbors at Clyde Nursing Center.
She was born in Fremont, Sept. 19, 1916, to Lewis and Mary Grace (Hess) Bowers. On March 11, 1936, in Indiana, she married
Fred S. Ellenburger. He died July 15, 2000.
Surviving are her daughter, Esther Weyant of Burgoon; son, Russell Ellenberger of Tiffin and daughter, Marlene Lehman of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Roy and Orin Bowers and sister, Katherine Schoendorff.
Mary retired as a clerk from Woolworth's Department Store in Fremont after several years of service and enjoyed crafts. She spent time knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting and working with plastic canvas. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge 128 in Fremont.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the Nopper-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg. Order of Eastern Star services will begin at 1 p.m., followed by funeral services officiated by the Rev. Martha Gross. Burial will be in Smith cemetery, Burgoon.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Deborah A. Berger
Deborah A. Berger, 47, 604 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, died 8:32 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria, after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
She was born July 4, 1955, in Boston, Mass., to Randall B. and Barbara E. (Stokinger) Tatro. On April 20, 1988, she married
Wayne N. Berger in Fostoria. He survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are: her mother, Barbara E. Tatro of Mattapoisett, Mass., two sons, Sean Hutchins of Van Buren, Eric Hutchins of Fostoria and a grandson.
Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Faith Tabernacle Church, Fostoria.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria.
Lee O. Myers Sr.
Lee O. Myers Sr., 86, of rural Clyde, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at Bellevue Hospital, Bellevue.
He was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Bradner to Floyd and Alice (Holmer) Myers. On Sept. 5, 1937, he married
Melva E. (Rohde) Myers. She survives in Clyde.
Also surviving are: three sons, Douglas Myers of Florida, Lee Myers Jr. of Findlay and Thomas Myers of Toledo; three grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Miller of Fremont.
Mr. Myers was a U.S. Maritime Service veteran, serving in World War II.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Clyde Christian Church in Clyde.
There will be no visitation.

Marjorie I. Treece
Marjorie I. Treece, 94, of Christopher Drive, Fostoria, died 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria.
She was born Jan. 21, 1908, in West Millgrove to C. A. and Edith (Smith) Rosendale. On June 28, 1936, she married
Milo K. Treece. He died Nov. 18, 1993.
Surviving are: a son, David K. Treece; a brother, Warren A. Rosendale, both of Fostoria; two sisters, Virginia Stannard of Bowling Green and Eileen Rosendale of Oxford.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Gust A. Wyrich
Gust A. Wyrich, 86, 4515 Mooreheadville Road, Northeast, Pa., died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Twinbrook Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1916, in Erie, Pa., to the late Gustave and Rosia (Haag) Wyrich. His wife, Palma (Carnevale) Wyrich died on Dec. 1, 1998.
Surviving are: a son, Douglas G. Wyrich; two daughters, Thelma Kirchner of Tiffin and Barbara Beebe of Killeen, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother William Wyrich; and a sister, Rose Coscia.
There will be a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory Church.
Burial will be in St. Gregory cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home in North East, Pa.
James C. 'J.C.' Browning
James C. "J.C." Browning, 73, 568 Lynn St., Fostoria, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Spartanburg County, S.C., to James W. and Annie Mae (Choice) Browning. On Oct. 21, 1955, he married
JoAnn (Evers) Browning in Fostoria. She died June 27, 2000.
Surviving are: a son, Tracy C. Browning; two daughters, Roxann S. Browning and Gail Tucker, all of Fostoria; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and a sister, Lorine Gaffney of Augusta, Ga.
Mr. Browning was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria, with military graveside rites by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mary Kathryn Chance
Mary Kathryn Chance, 55, of 3448 S. Eden TR17, Tiffin, died in her home on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002. She was born Feb. 4, 1947 to the late Vern E. Chance and Kathryn D. (Goetz) Chance, her mother survives in rural Tiffin.
Miss Chance was a Mohawk High School graduate, she worked in Woody's Restaurant in Fremont, as a food preparer for Arnolds Vending in Tiffin, and she was also a wallpaper hanger. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ; the Tiffin Women of the Moose; and Eagles 402 Auxiliary.
The Graveside Service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 at Greenlawn cemetery with the Rev. David Culp officiating.
Visitation hours are, today, from 2-3 p.m. at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Seneca County Dialysis Center.
John M. Fisher
John M. Fisher, 79, of Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002. He was born in Wilkinsburg, PA on May 15, 1923 to Martin and Ethel (Buxton) Fisher. On Dec. 11, 1947 he married
Beatrice G. Slatman, she died June 15, 2000.
Surviving include: a son, John H. Fisher of Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Bonnie) SanGregory of Homer, MI., Mrs. David (Jacqueline) Phillips of Tiffin, and Mrs. Jeff (Sarah) Hoover of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Sue Ann SanGregory of Marshall, MI., Frank E. SanGregory III of Homer, MI., Nichols SanGregory of Homer, MI., and Justin Hoover of Tiffin.
Preceded in death was a sister, Mae P. Erkuhn.
Mr. Fisher was a graduate of the Junior Home Class of 1941, and graduate of Heidelberg College Class of 1950. A U.S. Army Veteran serving during WW II. He worked for National Machinery, retiring after 33 years of service. His memberships included: Washington Street United Methodist Church; National Machinery 25th Century Club; Junior Home Kid, and he volunteered at the Sharing Kitchen.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with Joseph Buckley officiating. Burial at Greenlawn cemetery. Graveside Military Services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation hours are from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Charles Francis Magers II
Charles Francis "Chuck" Magers II, 72, of North Carolina, formerly of Tiffin, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002. He was born Dec. 14, 1930 in Tiffin,
Surviving include: his wife, Marilyn Hopper; two sons, Chad Magers, and Joseph Magers; four daughters, Mrs. JoEllen Goldberg, Mrs. Lori M. Conti, and Mrs. Amy Fortescue, Mrs. Mary Catherine Feely; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Visitation hours are from 7-9 p.m., tonight with prayer service at 7 p.m. at North Raleigh Funeral Home, N.C.
Donald F. Saad
Donald F. Saad, 83, of Flint Ridge Nursing Center, Zanesville, died on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002. He was born Aug. 25, 1919 to William and Ruth (Kennon) Saad. He married
Grace (Opal) Payne, she died May 8, 2002.
Surviving include: two sons, William and Richard Saad, both of Newark, Ohio.; a daughter, Mrs. Karen Saad Simonds of Tiffin.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home. Burial in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Visitation hours are from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Denise Mae Hunter
Denise Mae Hunter, 42, 121 N. TR 165, Tiffin, died at 3:56 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at her residence.
She was born April 23, 1960, in Tiffin, to the late Norman and Patricia (Troxell) Ranker. On April 11, 1980, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married
Terrance Hunter, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Nicholas and Matthew Hunter, both of Tiffin; a daughter, Jessica Hunter of Tiffin; two brothers, Douglas (Debra) Ranker of Tiffin and Darin (Kristine) Ranker of Marysville, Ohio; two sisters, Debra (Thomas) Kahler and Diane (Mark) Riesen, both of Tiffin. A nephew, Brent Riesen, is deceased
A 1978 Columbian High School graduate, Mrs. Hunter worked as a receptionist for Dr. James Felton for 15 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Schroeder as celebrant. The rosary will be prayed at 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
There will be no visitation. The Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, (419) 447-3113, is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Joyce Hussey
Marie Joyce Hussey, 89, of 5384 County Highway 134, Sycamore, died at 1:17 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.
She was born Dec. 3, 1912, in Upper Sandusky to George R. and Bertha (Smith) DeBolt and they are both deceased.
She married
Avery Everhart in 1934, and he died in October of 1949. She then married
William Earl Hussey Oct. 17, 1953, and he survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Mr. Jerry L. Everhart of Sycamore; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Marian) Babcock of Sycamore; three grandchildren, Michael L. Babcock of Sycamore, Kevin E. Babcock of Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. Ken (Lori) Hoffman of Sycamore; two great-grandchildren, Shaun M. and Erin M. Babcock; two brothers, Mr. Daniel DeBolt of Upper Sandusky, Mr. Charles DeBolt of Gainesville, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. William (Anabelle) Clark of Laughlintown, Pa.
Two brothers, John and George DeBolt; and a sister, Gayle Weyer, are deceased.
She was a graduate of Eden Centralized High School; worked in retail and catalog for Montgomery Ward in Tiffin for 21 years; attended former Deunquat Lutheran Church; and enjoyed gardening, animals and the outdoors.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Roy Howell officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. The body has been cremated.
Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home Monday, Oct. 28, 2002.
