Dorothea Heltman
Dorothea Heltman, 102, formerly of Bellevue, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Manatee Hospital, Bradenton, Fla.
She was born July 23, 1900, in York Township, Sandusky County, to Orril G. and Catherine E. (Dick) Heter. She married
Walter "Glenn" Heltman in 1919 and he died in 1976.
Survivors include: a daughter, Marna Schneider of Bradenton, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Auxter Funeral Home, Bellevue, with interment in the Bellevue City cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Isabel L. Twining
Isabel L. Twining, 95, formerly of Carey, died at 11:54 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Wyandot County Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 4, 1907, in Wyandot County to William H. and Mary Ellen (Bond) Karr. She married
Orlando Clayton "Mike" Twining Nov. 6, 1926. He died Aug. 3, 1986.
Survivors include: a son, Clayton Twining Jr. of North Baltimore; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with burial in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
Stanley E. Burson
Stanley E. Burson, 87, of 87 Oakwood Drive, Tiffin, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Norwalk.
He was born Dec. 12, 1914, in Findlay, to Stanley L. and Florence M. (Kring) Burson.
Surviving are: a son, Dwayne Burson of Norwalk; a daughter, Joanne Toydmier of Glendale, Ariz.; a step-son, Jim Shriver of Bettsville; a step-daughter, Janet Fernbaugh of Fostoria; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nina Skeen of Bradenton, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Florence Burson.
Mr. Burson was a graduate of Findlay High School and worked as a car salesman. He was a member of Living Word Fellowship in Tiffin.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Living Word Fellowship.
Alice S. Ulicny
Alice S. Ulicny, 88, of Fostoria Road, Fostoria, died 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria.
She was born March 9, 1914, in Fostoria, to Jacob and Wilimina Gerlinger. On July 11, 1942, she married
Dr. Harry P. Ulicny in Fostoria. He died Dec. 28, 1982.
Surviving are: two sons, James (Sally) Ulicny of Risingsun and Richard (Cathy) Ulicny of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents; husband; a son, John Ulicny; two brothers, Ted and Lauton Gerlinger.
Mrs. Ulicny was a 1932 graduate of Fostoria High School and also graduated from Capitol University as an X-ray technician. She was employed as a former X-ray technician at area hospitals and a homemaker. She was a former member of the Fostoria Women's Club and member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Knigga officiating. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Wood County Humane Society or Daybreak of Fostoria.
Eileen M. Hall
Eileen M. Hall, 84, of North Sandusky Avenue, Sandusky, died at 9:14 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Wyandot Manor Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky.
She was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Belle Vernon, to William H. and Venice (Hollar) Stover. On June 26, 1937, she married
Lawrence Hall in Greenup, Ky. He died March 3, 1988.
Surviving are: a son, Roger W. Hall of Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Patricia A. Donahue of Columbus; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lucas Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Burial will be in Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Judith A. 'Judy' Trapp
Judith A. "Judy" Trapp, 51, 61 Harrison St., Tiffin, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at her home.
She was born April 15, 1951, in Tiffin, to Ira and Mildred (Sours) Runion. Her mother survives in Bucyrus and her father is deceased. On April 25, 1970, in Tiffin, she married
James F. Trapp, who survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Trina) England of Republic and Mrs. Jeremy (Kelly) Twigg of Tiffin; a son, Cory J. Trapp of Liberty Center; two brothers, Michael Runion of Big Springs, Texas and Timothy Runion of Tiffin; a sister, Tonya Lyons of Bucyrus; six grandchildren: Anthony, Skyelar, Bailey, Marisa, McKenna and Bryce; and a step-granddaughter, Celeste.
Mrs. Trapp, a 1969 graduate of Columbian High School, worked at K-mart for 11 years as an electronic manager, retiring in 1998. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 169, life member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary-At large, Tiffin Eagles Auxiliary and Tiffin Women of the Moose.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jan Kucera officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care, American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
Robert H. 'Bob' Stewart
Robert H. "Bob" Stewart, 58, of 6601 CR 46, Rawson, died 6:29 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Winebrenner Village, where he had been for two weeks.
He was born June 19, 1944, in Tiffin, to Harry and Agnes (Pugh) Stewart. On May 8, 1976, he married
Shirley Bloom in Tiffin. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Robert A. "Tony" Stewart of Columbus and Douglas M. Stewart, at home; two sisters, Judy Osmon of Tiffin and Gloria Pautz of San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Mr. Stewart received the Army Commendation Medal, as well as a Bronze Star Medal. He served four years in the US Army, with two years in Vietnam.
Memorial will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Routson Funeral Chapel, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, with military rites by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Burial will be a later date.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eugene M. Reinhart
Eugene M. "Gene" Reinhart, 63, of 3855 S. US 23, Alvada, died 5:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at his residence, after a two year extended illness with cancer.
He was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Alvada, to Simon and Christina "Betty" (Frankart) Reinhart-Lafontaine. His mother survives in Fostoria. On July 16, 1960, he married
Donna J. (Nye) Reinhart at St. Peter Catholic Church in Alvada. She survives in Alvada.
Other survivors include: a son, Darin E. (Danielle) Reinhart of Bowling Green; four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie (Mitch) Mitchell of Findlay, Mrs. Lori (John) Orians of Alvada, Mrs. Julie (Andrew) Felter of Tiffin, Mrs. Elaine (Scot) Acree of New Riegel; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandson; three brothers, Donald (Theresa) Reinhart of Alvada, Floyd (Ann) Reinhart of Sycamore, Dale (Mary) Reinhart of Carey; two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn (Jim) Amburgey of Findlay, Mrs. Patricia (Joe) Stevens of Alvada; a stepbrother, Daniel (Joanne) Lafontaine of South Carolina; a stepsister, Mrs. Judy (Carl) Hucke of Carey.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary C. Earl, and stepfather, Lloyd Lafontaine.
Mr. Reinhart retired in 1994 from Union Carbide in Fostoria after 32 years. He also was a school bus coordinator and driver for New Riegel Schools from 1995-2000, and a lifelong Seneca County farmer.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada, where he served on the parish council, a Eucharistic minister, usher, and assisted in parish maintenance. He enjoyed the outdoors where he camped, hunted and fished. Mr. Reinhart was a boater who enjoyed vacation and traveling. He also enjoyed carpentry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada, with the Rev. David Reinhart, Rev. Leonard Kistler C.PP.S., Rev. Harry Cavanaugh C.PP.S., and Deacon Lewis Reinhart, officiating. and the rosary will be prayed at 10:15 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter Parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria, where a Christian wake will take place at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care, F.A.C.T., or St. Peter Church Restoration Fund.

William E. Gase
William E. Gase, 62, 821 Central Ave., Fostoria, died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Fostoria, to the late Virgil M. and Matilda (Hoepf) Gase. He first married
Patricia (Evanczuk) Babb, and they were divorced. She survives in Charleston, S.C. He later married
Barbara Bolen, who survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: a daughter, Michelle M. Gase of Columbus; two sons, Timothy R. Gase of Pickerington and Thomas A. Gase of Fostoria; two stepsons, John Bolen of Findlay and Brian Bolen of Lima; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Kramer of Fostoria; 12 grandchildren; stepmother, Gracemarie Vermillion-Gase of Findlay; two brothers, Robert J. Gase of Fostoria and George Gase of San Diego, Calif.; and three sisters, Sister Virginia Gase OSF of Tiffin, Mrs. Don (Betty Lou) Brink and Mrs. Jan (Kathleen) Miller, both of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Gase; and two sisters, Marlene Gase and Mary Bame.
A carpenter, Mr. Gase was a 1958 graduate of St. Wendelin High School. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus Council 1197, Fostoria; Fostoria Eagles Aerie 430 and a former member of the Fostoria Elks.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. The rosary will be prayed at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the church, where the family will gather at 10 a.m.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay.

Robert L. Hutcheson
Robert L. Hutcheson, 85, of 6851 S. SR 231, Tiffin, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.
He was born July 22, 1917, in Long Island, N.Y. to Ralph and Carrie (Pearson) Hutcheson. On April 5, 1941, he married
Anita Hintze in Los Angeles, Calif. She survives in Tiffin..
Other survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Linda (Daniel) Coffman of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Daniel, Erin, Steve and Kathy and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was employed as an automobile salesman. Mr. Hutcheson was a US Army WW II veteran.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church, SR 101, Tiffin, with the Rev. Jerry Boylan officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.
The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Donna M. Zender
Donna M. Zender, 88, formerly of 400 High St., Carey, died 4:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
She was born Aug. 26, 1914, in Upper Sandusky, to Forest and Clara (Althouser) Turner. On March 2, 1936, she married
Clyde H. Zender. He died April 24, 1984.
Surviving are: two daughters, Bonnie McCullough and Carol McMinn, both of Bradner; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister Eunice Keckler of Fostoria.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert H. 'Bob' Stewart

Mr. Stewart graduated from Tiffin Columbian H.S. in 1963 and received a BA in both History and Political Science from BGSU. He also received a BS in Business Administration from Findlay College. He was working as a lubrication specialist with Lubrication Engineers, Inc. where he had worked since approximately 1988.
Mr. Stewart was a former scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 300; Findlay Amvets Post 21; Arlington VFW Post 510; member of the N.W. Ohio Railroad Preservation, Inc.
He received the Army Commendation Medal, as well as a Bronze Star Medal while serving four years in the US Army, serving two of those years in Vietnam.

Kenneth R. 'Dick' Lacy
Kenneth R. "Dick" Lacy, 93, formerly of Clyde, now Panama City Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in Panama City Nursing Center, Florida.
He was born Feb. 10, 1909, in Richland County, to Edgar and Lura (Lewis) Lacy. He first married
Lillian Jones. She is deceased. He then married
Ruth (Bingman) Lacy in 1948. She died in 1980. He then married
Hazel (Bowers) Lacy on Jan. 3, 1982. She survives in Florida.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Mary Hall of Connersville, Ind., Carol Rose of Clyde; a son, Kenneth Lacy of Clyde; two stepsons, Joel Sapp of Wisconsin and James Sapp of Florida; a stepdaughter, Belinda Crews of Florida; 26 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ray Lacy of Indiana; three sisters, Louise Elliott, Dorothy Owens and Pearl Weaver, all of Indiana.
Mr. Lacy was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Temple in Clyde. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery, where military graveside rites will be provided by the Clyde VFW and Clyde American Legion.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde.
