Tristan Daniel Currier, Newborn, of 1675 Lakeview Dr., Tiffin, died 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
Surviving are: her mother, Katelyn M. Currier of Tiffin; maternal grandmother, Dawn Currier of Tiffin; maternal great-grandmother, Fannie A. Bess of Tiffin; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private family service was Monday, June 24, 2002, with Pastor Margaret Marks officiating. Burial is in Greenlawn cemetery.
Majorie L. Missler Carroll
Majorie L. Missler Carroll, 68, of Sandusky CR 175, Clyde, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Flower Hospital in Sylvania.
She was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Bellevue to Phillip and Theresa (Reiderman) Missler. She married
Wayne E. Carroll on July 17, 1956. He survives in Clyde.
Other survivors include: three sons, Douglas Carroll of Clyde, Timothy Carroll of Republic, Scott Carroll of Ipswich, Mass., a daughter, Deborah Cunningham of Republic; four grandchildren; four brothers, Andy Missler of Wooster, Gene Missler of Norwalk, Marv Missler and Jerry Missler, both of Bellevue; a sister, Violet Jacobs of North Baltimore.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clyde. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde.
Dorothy J. Walter
Dorothy J. Walter, 76, formerly of 208 N. Griffith St., Sycamore, died 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Wyandot Manor in Upper Sandusky.
She was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Wallington, N.J. to John and Ida (Donkersloot) Van Sweden. She married
Neil F. Walter on June 21, 1945, He died on May 3, 1983.
Surviving are: a son, David E. Walter of Wakeman, Ohio; a daughters, Mrs. Arlene (David) J. Stoltz of Garner, N.C.; grandchildren, Mr. Kevin Watts of N.C., Mrs. Keena (Sean) Finsel of Raleigh, N.C. and Ms. Brittany Walter of Wakeman, Ohio and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Corine Van Beveren of Clifton, N.J.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Van Sweden; two sisters, Marie Van Eck and Wilhelmina Verhove.
Mrs. Walter was a retired product handler for Allied Signal in Fostoria with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Sycamore United Church of Christ; Mohawk Lioness Club; Sycamore Garden Club and the Happy Travelers Club. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, shopping, gardening, flower arranging and crafts.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, with the Rev. Diane Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Sycamore United Church of Christ.
Anna E. 'Betty' Magers
Anna E. "Betty" Magers, 76, of 819 North Water St., Tiffin, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Lima to Joseph Warren and Anna Marie (Wellman) Bair. She married
Marvey J. Miller on June 9, 1945 . He died in 1973. She then married
Urban H. Magers on May 20, 1977, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin. He survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include: a son, Daniel E. Miller of Portland, Oreg.; two stepsons, Timothy Magers of Westbrook, Texas and Ronald Magers of Toledo; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Cynthia (Walter) Carter of Easley, S.C., Mrs. Barbara (Steve) Moyer of Hebron, Ohio, Mrs. Phyllis Pactol of Vallejo, Calif., Virginia Fisher of San Antonia, Texas, and Mrs. Cheryl (Jeff) Tomlin of Amherst, Va.; two grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Ann Eisenhart; two brothers, John and Carl Bair and a sister, Magrette Bullinger.
Mrs. Magers was a graduate of George Ann Hair Academy and a homemaker. She worked at the Tiffin Glass House; General Electric; Ballreich's Potato Chip and Tiffin Enterprise.
Mrs. Pollock was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary 6067 in Green Springs and volunteered for the bloodmobile. She was an avid artist and also liked to golf and bowl.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to F.A.C.T. (Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment), Community Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Raymond M. Giles
Raymond M. Giles, 59, of 370 CR 35 McCutchenville, died, 2:58 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 9, 1943, in Marion to Paul W. and Edna M. (Sipe) Giles. His mother survives in McCutchenville. He married
Barbara K. (Wadkins) on April 10, 1968. She survives in McCutchenville.
Other survivors include: a son, Mr. Scott Giles of Columbus; a daughter, Ms. Rayette Giles of Fostoria; a brother, Mr. William Giles of Medina.
He was preceded in death by a son, David M. Giles and a brother, George Giles.
Mr. Giles was a Sycamore High School graduate. He was a retired construction worker, working out of Local 574 in Marion. He attended the First Baptist Church in Marion. Mr. Giles loved to work on cars.
Graveside Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Brokensword cemetery in Crawford County, with Pastor Shane Helms officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or Wyandot County Humane Society.
Arrangements are being handled by the Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore.
Edward L. Pollock
Edward L. Pollock, 76, of 92 Huss St., Tiffin, died 12:46 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at St. Vincent/Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born July 19, 1925, in Greenport Long Island, N.Y. to John King and Marjorie (Lester) Pollock. He married
Pauline (Peg) Pollock. She died on May 10, 1999.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Carol Ann Jordan of Bellevue and Mrs. Diana Mae McCann of Tiffin; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, John Pollock of Va. and Everett Phillips of Mich.; a sister, Phyllis Kerlin of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Pollock was retired from GE after 38 years of service as a bench machinist. He was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1943-1946 and earned the American Theatre, Victory, European Theatre, Asiatic Pacific medals. He was a Seaman First class. Mr. Pollock was an avid Bingo player.
Private Graveside services will be held at Seneca Memory Gardens with Joe Buckley, who is a friend from the Junior Home, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Junior Home War Memorial Park or Seneca Co. Humane Society.

Gertrude B. Graham
Gertrude B. "Trudy" Graham, 82, of Belmont, Mass., formerly of Tiffin, died Thursday, June 20, 2002. She was born Sept. 23, 1919 to George and Irene (Barry) Bentley. On April 1, 1943 she married
Howard E. Graham, he died Sept. 4, 1989, in Tiffin.
Surviving include: a daughter, Joan Graham of Belmont, MA.
Visitation will be from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002 at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home. At 11:30 a.m. a procession will take them to Seneca Memory Gardens in Tiffin for the services and burial.
Marion Edward Whitmer
Marion Edward Whitmer, 80, of 620 Miami St., died Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at his home.
Funeral at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2002 at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home in Tiffin with The Rev. Richard Hofmann officiating.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
William Brian 'Bill' Stockmaster
William Brian "Bill" Stockmaster, 37, formerly of Attica, and of Florida for the past eight years, died at his parents' home in Attica Friday, June 28, 2002.
He was born July 27, 1964, in Toledo to Leonard H. and Cleona (Bollinger) Stockmaster.
Survivors include: his parents, Leonard and Cleona Stockmaster of Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Goble of Norwalk and Mrs. Betsy (David) Latteman of Havana, Ohio; two nephews, Bradley Leonard Goble of Norwalk and David Goble of West Virginia; five aunts; two uncles; and a good friend, Lance Everett of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer (1957) and Ora (1980) Bollinger; paternal grandparents, Ralph (1934) and Irene (1996) Stockmaster; five uncles; and one aunt.
Mr. Stockmaster was a graduate of Seneca East High School, class of 1983, and the American Institute of Taxidermy Inc. in Wisconsin. He was self-employed, raising, buying and selling small and exotic birds, and also was co-owner of Triple A Towing and Wrecking Service in Marion County, Fla. He loved the great outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Attica and an inactive member of Father Teolis Knights of Columbus, council 3062, in Attica.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Attica, with the Rev. Joseph P. Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul cemetery, Attica.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service in Attica. Knights of Columbus will have a Rosary Service 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Leonard W. Theiry
A Memorial Mass for Leonard W. Theiry, 79, of Republic, who died Friday, May 31, 2002, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Republic, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.

Velma T. Ferkel-Finsel
Velma T. Ferkel-Finsel, 86, of 54 Teakwood Dr., Tiffin, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 15, 1915, on Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada, to Henry and Hannah (Krause) Binger. On Feb. 20, 1936, she married
Lawrence A. Ferkel at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clyde. He died on Jan. 4, 1995. She then married
Harold Finsel on Oct. 12, 1998, at the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in Tiffin. He died on Oct. 27, 2001.
Survivors include: a daughter, Joanne and Bob Avers and a son, Richard and Cathy Ferkel, both of Tiffin; three step-sons. David Finsel of Bat Cove, N.C., Larry Finsel and Denny Finsel, both of Fostoria; two step-daughters, Roselyn Kuhn of Oak Harbor and Nancy Thompson of Fostoria; a sister, Viola Konzen of Pemberville; a sister-in-law, Frances Binger of Clyde; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Martin Binger, and a sister, Nellie Sander.
Mrs. Finsel was personnel director at St. Francis Rehabilitation Hospital in Green Springs for 11 years and a graduate of York High School in Bellevue. She was a member of Christian Women Missionary; Daughters of America; Kiwanis; taught Sunday School for 30 years; led a Bible study group for many years; president of Senior Citizens and served on the board; and Prayer Captain coordinator of FISH. Mrs. Finsel was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Rex King officiating. Burial will be in Parkhurst cemetery in Clyde.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home in Tiffin and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church.
Douglas E. Schmuck
Douglas E. Schmuck, 44, of 125 Midvale Terrace, Sebestian, Fla.,, died 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Kindred Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1957, in Tiffin, to Donald E. and Betty I. (Shambaugh) Schmuck. On July 25, 1987, he married
Tami M. (Shellenberg) Schmuck. She survives in Florida.
Other survivors include, his father, Donald Schmuck; a daughter, Gretchen Schmuck of Bucyrus; a brother, Gary E. Schmuck of Forest; four nieces and three nephews; a great-niece and a great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Schmuck of Tiffin and a brother, Bradley.
Mr. Schmuck was a 1975 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. While in Ohio, he worked at Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria, the U.A.P., in Forest and Cooper Tire in Findlay. In Florida, he worked for eight years as a corrections officer for the Indian River Co. Sheriff Dept. and for the past three years as a parts deliveryman for Piper Air Craft in Vero Beach, Fla.
He enjoyed spending time on his computer, doing lawn work, boating, carpentry and wood working, telling jokes, cooking out at the annual Christmas party in Florida, and being a Michigan Wolverine fan. In earlier life, he enjoyed his motorcycle and his 1977 black Corvette.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Joseph Searfoss officiating. Burial will be in Wharton Richland Union cemetery in Wharton.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Rumoldo 'Ray' Martinez
Rumoldo "Ray" Martinez, 60, of McCord Road, Holland, Ohio, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1942, in Richmond, Texas, to John and Guadalupe (Hernandez) Martinez. He married
Olga Flores on April 28, 1958, in Wauseon. They are divorced.
Survivors include: a son Ray "JR" Martinez of Boloxi, Miss.; three daughters, Jeanette Day of Peters Creek, Alaska, Diane Martinez and Debbie Perin, both of Fostoria, and eight grandchildren; seven brothers, Domingo Martinez of Gonzales, Texas, Beto "Bert," Benny, and Lee Martinez, all of Fostoria, Frank Martinez of Richmond, Texas, Lupe Martinez of Rossford and Henry Martinez of Bowling Green; three sisters, Dominga Gallegos of Houston, Texas, Audelia "Lela" Serda of Defiance and Mary Lopez of Fostoria.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in St. Wendelin cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jean P. Pepper, 66, of 115 N. Sandusky St., Tiffin, died 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
