Zenith S. Snyder
Zenith S. Snyder, 95, resident of Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria, Ohio (formerly of Perrysburg), died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at the Nursing Home.
She was born March 9, 1906, in Seneca County to Oliver and Mercy (Cypher) Funk. She first married
Roscoe Fruth on Jan. 17, 1932, in New Breman, Ohio; and he died May 1972. She then married
Norman T. Snyder March 31, 1973, in Toledo; he died June of 1999.
Survivors include: a step-son, Terry Snyder of Portage, Ohio; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jerry "Norma" Kwiatkowski of Toledo; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were: her parents, husbands, four brothers and three sisters.
She retired in 1972 as the Society Editor of the Review Times Newspaper in Fostoria, Ohio; also former Owner and Operator of Fruth Laundry in Fostoria; member of Heatherdowns Church of the Brethren; attended Tiffin High School, 1924 graduate of Tiffin University; 50-year member of Fostoria Chapter 94 Order of the Eastern Star, Kings Daughters Westminster Circle, Knights Templar Ladies; Zenith was an avid Shuffleboard Player.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002, at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home at 301 West Tiffin Street in Fostoria with the Rev. Paul E. Myers officiating. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery near Fostoria.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo; and 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral home in Fostoria where OES Memorial services will be at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Heatherdowns Church of the Brethren or Fostoria Chapter 94 Order of the Eastern Star.
Frances I. Cousins
Frances I. Cousins, 95, died at 9:20 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, where she resided.
She was born May 13, 1906, in Lindville, Va., to John and Josephine Temple. She married
William L. Lawson and he died. She then married
George Cousins and he also is deceased.
Survivors include: two sons, William S. Lawson I, and Don J. Lawson of Fostoria; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Haskins and Evelyn Brooks, both of Philadelphia, Pa.
A son, Lacy Robert Lawson, and a daughter, Doris L. Burse, are deceased.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral.
John W. Getz
John W. Getz, 72, of Willard died at 10:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at MedCentral Health System of Mansfield.
He was born May 30, 1929, in Steuben to the late Edward J. and Edith L. (George) Getz. He was married
Nov. 26, 1949, to Mary R. Hutchinson and she survives.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Ann Coffman of Fall brook, Calif., Becky Lydy and Sophie Bergman, both of Willard, and Sandra K. Getz of Dickson, Calif.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Getz of Norwalk.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave., Willard, with burial in the Maple Grove cemetery, New Haven.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
Glenna M. Smith
Glenna M. Smith, 72, of Elmwood Assisted Living and formerly of Circle Drive, Fremont, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 26, 2002, at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont.
She was born in Fremont April 18, 1929, to James F. and Glendora (Drenning) Parish.
Survivors include: a son, Michael E. Snyder of Fremont; a daughter, Mary B. Constantine of Florida; four grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Johnson of Fremont.
Her parents and a son, David Lee Snyder, are deceased.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday in the Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary in Fremont where visitation will be Saturday 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Four Mile House cemetery.
James E. Walsh
James E. Walsh, 61, of CR 592, died at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in Toledo Hospital.
He was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Fostoria to Maurice and Carrie (Payne) Walsh. He married
Sharon D. Smith March 29, 1969, in Fostoria and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include: his mother of Fostoria; a son, Richard of Tiffin; a daughter Sherrie Walsh of Tiffin; and two sisters, Marilyn King of Fostoria, and Joyce Mayse of Castalia.
His father is deceased.
There will be no visitation and services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Harrold-Floriana Funeral home, Fostoria.
Yoneko (Sueko) Krauss
Yoneko (Sueko) Krauss, 51, of 1360 Woodland Avenue, Tiffin, died at 2:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. She was born August 21, 1950 to Shintetsu and Yoski Uku, both parents are deceased. On Oct. 13, 1970 she married
Brian Krauss in Naha City, Japan, he survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include: three sons, Mearle E. Krauss and Daniel J. Krauss, both of Tiffin, and Andrew Krauss of San Diego, CA.; six sisters, Kiyoko, Kazuko, Fumiko, Misako, Masako and Nariko, all of Okinawa, Japan; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Krauss has lived in Tiffin since 1970, and worked by cleaning for many companies and businesses in the area. She was a member of Okinawa Toma No Kai.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with The Father Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation hours are from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Ronald E. 'Sonny' Wilson
Ronald E. "Sonny" Wilson, 61, of Siam, died 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002 at Medical College of Ohio. He was born June 6, 1940 in Attica to the late Earl and Ruth (Lemon) Wilson. He was formerly married
to Karen Poth.
Surviving include: three sons, Scott, Brett and Troy Wilson, all of Attica; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Home in Attica. Burial will be at Attica-Venice Township cemetery.
Visitation hours are from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m, today, at the funeral home.
Joyce E. Weber
Joyce E. Weber, 55, of Brown St., Clyde, died at the St. Francis Nursing Home in Green Springs on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002. She was born Nov. 27, 1946 to Emerson P. and Marian E. (Young) Grimm, Mrs. Grimm survives in Gibsonburg. On Dec. 21, 1991 she married
Philip Weber, and he survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Dennis McConnaughey of Monroe, MI.; a daughter, Lori McConnaughey of Port Clinton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Balsizer of Fremont; a sister, Mrs. Sherron Welch of Bettsville; a brother Danny Grimm of Norwalk; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery, Fremont.
Visitation hours are from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donald L. Parker Sr.
Donald L. Parker Sr., 82, of 713 Brown St., Clyde, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in Valley View Care Center.
He was born May 25, 1919, in Bloomingburg to Cornelius and Caroline (Campbell) Parker. He married
Helen Southworth in 1939, and she survives in Clyde.
Other survivors include: two sons, Donald Jr. of Toledo, and H. Stephen of Sandusky; two daughters, Carol Balsizer and Sanja Laird, both of Fremont; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Emil of Circleville, Joseph of Fremont, Robert of Mechanicsburg, and William of Tiffin; a sister, Ellen Parker of Urbana.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army with the 1st Battalion, 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Division, Northern Appenines Povalley in Italy.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, Fremont, with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Gerald A. Redfox
Gerald A. Redfox, 85, of 8597 E. TR 88, Bloomville, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at his home.
He was born May 2, 1916, in Berwick, Ohio, to Howard and Myrabelle (Baldosser) Redfox.
Survivors include: several cousins, Don and Wanda RedFox of Swanton, Mrs. Ola Mae Detterman of Republic, Olan Baldosser of Republic, Willis Baldosser of Republic, Mark and Barb Tillison of Pemberville, Chris and Wilma Orosz of Holland, Mich., and Kathy Martin of Republic; and close friends, the Perkins families of Bloomville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Redfox, and an infant sister, Eileen Redfox.
Mr. Redfox was a farmer and a salesman for Mason Shoes. He was a member of the Bloom Community Grange, Grange Dartball League, Seneca County Pheasants Forever, and he was also an avid hunter.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with Rev. Gary Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Bloomville.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Bloom Community Grange visitation will be at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Pheasants Forever or to Bloom Community Grange.
Florence E. Schindler
Florence E. Schindler, 94, formerly of Gunther Ave., Bellevue, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, in Arbors of Clyde. She was born July 13, 1907, to Herbert and Ida (Ritter) Conger. On Feb. 28, 1932, she married
Harry R. Schindler. He died Dec. 6, 1985.
Survivors include: a stepdaughter, Betty Crise of Culver, Ind.; a brother, Myron Conger of Republic; two sisters, Mrs. Levi (Lucille) Westfall, and Mrs. Howard (Bernice) Kistler, both of Clyde.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home. Burial in McPherson cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.
Lois V. Miller
Lois V. Miller, 83, formerly of Bertha Ave., Clyde, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at the Elmwood Nursing Home in Green Springs. She was born May 25, 1918, to Albert Cleo and Lula Luella (Kern) Smith. On June 17, 1931, she married
John L. Miller. He died June 8, 1967.
Survivors include: a son, James Miller of Clyde; two daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Carol) Mira of Republic and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Massey of Clyde; and a sister, Mrs. Davie (Joan) Cobb of Vickery.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Sister Ann Fidelis Tomecek, OSU
Sister Ann Fidelis Tomecek, 86, the former Anna Mary Tomecek, a member of the Ursuline Convent for 69 years, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at the Ursuline Center.
Sister Ann Fidelis entered the Ursuline Community from St. Mary Parish, Tiffin, Ohio, Sept. 24, 1933. She professed her final vows Aug. 25, 1939. A graduate of Calvert High School, Tiffin, Ohio, she received a bachelor of arts degree from the former Mary Manse College. Further study was done at Villanova.
As an elementary school educator, Sister Ann Fidelis taught in the Toledo Diocesan schools of St. Angela Hall, Good Shepherd, St. Teresa, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, St. John the Baptist, Perrysburg St. Rose, Tiffin St. Mary and Lima St. Gerard. Following eight years at Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids, Ohio, Sister joined the staff of St. Angela Hall. Upon retirement Sister lived at St. Ursula Convent before moving to the Ursuline Center.
Sister is survived by her sister, Mrs. Mary Mehling of Doylestown, Pa., and brother, Joseph Tomecek of Lima.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday in the Ursuline Center, 4035 Indian Road, with the vigil service at 7 p.m. in the Center chapel on Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Ursuline Center chapel. Burial will be at Resurrection cemetery.
Arrangements are by Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road. Memorials may be made to the Ursuline Convent of the Sacred Heart Retirement Fund.
Clarence F. Williams
Clarence F. Williams, 90, of 265 CR 10 Big Spring Township, Alvada, died at 6:35 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2002, at Fox Run Manor in Findlay. He was born to Joseph and Jenny (Grubel) Williams Jan. 30, 1912. On April 12, 1937, he married
Florence L. Berrier, and she survives.
Survivors include: two sons, John Williams of Upper Sandusky and Harold Williams of North Baltimore; a daughter, Linda M. Williams-Stapley of New Paris; a sister, Josephine Dible of Carey; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren,

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Patricia Sue Ellenberger
Patricia Sue Ellenberger, 70, of 8311 N. CR 31, Tiffin, Ohio, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, in Seneca County,
She was born July 9, 1931, in Tiffin to Wilbur and Edith Rebecca (Eakin) Fox, both deceased. She married
Russell B. Ellenberger on Sept. 23, 1950, in Tiffin, Ohio. He survives at 8311 N. CR 31, Tiffin.
Other survivors include: two sons, Russell M. Ellenberger of Clyde, Ohio, and James F. Ellenberger of Las Vegas, Nev., two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Jenny) Mears of rural Fremont and Vickie Schreiner of Tiffin; three sisters, Madeline Van Horn of Burke, S.D., Phyllis Shumway of Sarasota, Fla., and Joan Kuhn of Tiffin, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Wilbur Fox, and three sisters, Dolores Cooper, Maxine Gressman and Joyce Curlis.
Mrs. Ellenberger has lived in Tiffin since 1973 and retired as a winder from G. E.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 6 at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with the Rev. Martha Gross officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday, March 5, at the funeral home.
