Edmund A. Brickner
Edmund A. Brickner, 79, of 752 Eastern Ave., Fostoria, died at 2:15 a.m. Nov. 10, 2001, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay.
He was born Nov. 25, 1921, in Seneca County, Ohio to the late William and Elizabeth (Hartman) Brickner. He married
Annabelle Berrier of Sept. 7, 1946, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Liberty Township and she died Dec. 27, 1998.
Survivors include: three sons, Ronald Brickner of Walbridge, and Brian and Chris Brickner of Fostoria; a daughter, Denise Woosley of Fostoria; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and four sisters, Vonetta Kelbley of Fostoria, Pauline Burns of Tiffin, Bernice Droll of Fostoria, and Virginia Kahman of Michigan,
He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Brad Brickner.
Mr. Brickner retired in 1982 as a "Car Inspector" for C&O Railroad after 32 years of employment.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria; a Life Member of VFW Post 73, Fostoria; a Life Member of Fostoria United Sportsman Club; a member of American Legion Post 73, Fostoria; and a Third Degree Knight of Columbus of Council 1197 in Fostoria.
He attended Jackson-Liberty School and St. Andrew's School in Liberty Township. He was a World War II Army veteran having served in the European Theater where he received a Purple Heart medal and three Bronze Stars.
The Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Tuesday followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Military graveside honors conducted by the United Veteran's of Fostoria will be at the St. Wendelin Parish cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoening Funeral Home, where the rosary will be prayed at 8:30 p.m.

Robert H. Lang
Robert H. Lang, 63, of Bloomville, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 11, 1938, to Joseph F. and Mary L. (Sandys) Lang and both are deceased. He married
Mary L. Sandys in 1957. He later married
Iona Manthey and she survives.
Survivors also include: a son, Robert Joseph Lang of Lucas, Texas; three daughters, Bonnie Lang, Connie Lang and Mrs. Isaac (Sandy) Hurt all of Tiffin; three sisters, Mrs. Laco (Mary) Wilson and Patricia Bright, both of Tiffin, and Mrs. Donald (Betty) Knudson of Tulia, Texas; a half-sister, Linda Sharpe of Tiffin; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
There will be no visitation.

Leona Mae Addis
Leona Mae Addis, 90, of Bettsville, died at 12:14 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Bethesda Care Center, Fremont.
She was born April 7, 1911, to Joseph and Ethel (Zeis) Neidlinger. She married
Edwin M. Addis in Tiffin and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a daughter, Sylvia Howlett of London, Ontario Canada; two sisters, Pauline Ritchart of Girard, Ohio and Mrs. Wayne (Lucille) Keller of Tiffin; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at Engle Funeral Home in Bettsville. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Sandra L. Wolfe
Sandra L. Wolfe, 55, of 15536 CR 109, Arcadia, Ohio,, died at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born Oct. 11, 1946, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Burdette and Rosemary (Theis) Snavely; both survive in Fostoria. She married
J.Joe Wolfe on April 11, 1969, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and he survives in Arcadia.
Other survivors include: a son, Kevin Joseph (Brenda) Wolfe, Kenton; a daughter, Christine Nicolle Wolfe, Arcadia; a grandson, Liam Morrison; two step-grandchildren; and a brother, Gary W. Snavely, Fostoria.
Mrs. Wolfe was a Registered Surgical Nurse for 30 years with Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay Orthopedics, and Fostoria Community Hospital.
Memberships included: St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and its Rosary Altar Society; 1964 graduate of St. Wendelin High School; 1967 graduate of St. Rita's School of Nursing, Lima; member of Fostoria Community Hospital Women's Auxiliary, and the Van Buren Lions Club.
A rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Wendelin Church, Fostoria, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with burial in Knollcrest Gardens, near Arcadia.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, and Patient Cancer Care Services, Findlay; and St. Wendelin Church and Schools.

Ruth M. Bayer
Ruth M. Bayer, 88, of Attica died at 9:29 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Mercy Hospital of Willard of a sudden death. She was born Aug. 30, 1913, in Bloomville, Ohio, to the late David M. and Cora May (Fatzinger) Tusing. Mrs. Bayer was employed with the Seneca East Schools, retiring after 23 years in 1983. She was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bayer is survived by her husband, Clyde Bayer whom she married
March 31, 1940; a son, Leonard L. Bayer and his wife Joyce of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Shirley) Kalb of N. Canton; three grandchildren, Crista Walton of Tiffin, Barry and Kyle Kalb of N. Canton; eight grandchildren, Ariel, Jordan and Bamdon Walton, Anthony, Lorina, Tyler, Makayla and Karsten Kalb; a brother, Martin Tusing Jr. of Rossford, Ohio; two sisters, Alice Valentine of Attica and Betty Williams of Pandora, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Ernest and Franklin Tusing; and a sister, Ellen Runion.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Attica United Methodist Church with The Rev. Thomas Kalb and The Rev. Malcolm Brook officiating. Burial will be in the Attica Venice Township cemetery, Attica.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica.

Richard J. Lepard
Richard J. "Dick" Lepard, 57, of SR 103, New Washington, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, following an accident at work.
He was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Tiffin to Richard Keith and Betty (Burkhardt) Lepard. He married
Patricia Ann Ferguson on June 22, 1968; and she survives.
Other survivors include: his mother of Attica; a son, John Keith of New Washington; a daughter, Tamara Jean Wurm of New Washington; two granddaughters; and his twin sister, Jennie L. Hoyles of Attica.
His father died in 1999.
Mr. Lepard was a U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Lutheran Church in New Washington with burial in the St. John's Lutheran cemetery in New Washington.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington.
Bernice Loughley
Bernice Loughley, 92, of Chagrin Falls and formerly of Carey, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in St. Vincent's Charity Hospital in Cleveland. Arrangements are pending at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
Timothy A. Coldiron
Timothy A. Coldiron, 49, of Carey, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 11, 2001, as a result of injuries suffered in an accident on County Highway 58, near Kirby.
Mr. Coldiron was born March 25, 1952, in Tiffin to Charles and Lorane (Row) Coldiron. He married
Shari Mills. They divorced. He married
Ruth Martin. They divorced.
Survivors include: his mother of Vanlue; a daughter, Mrs. John (Randi Ann) Siegenthaler of Kalida; two grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Risner of Rudolph; and a sister, Mrs. Marshall (Pat) Brickner of Estero, Fla.
His father preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with burial in the Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Iva B. Laux
Iva B. Laux, 84, of 6770 SR 19, Republic, Ohio, died at 3:55 a.m. Monday Nov. 12, 2001, at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Seneca County Dec. 13, 1916, to the late Clifford and Pearl (Weihl) Lee. On Dec. 24, 1938, in Green Springs, she married
Ray F. Laux. He preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1982.
Surviving are a son, John Laux of Mansfield, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. John (Luella) Kramer of Republic, Ohio and Mrs. Lester (Norma) Fritz Jr. of Bucyrus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Brian (Jeneane) Fritz, Carrie Fritz and Shawn, Teresa and Julie Laux; two brothers, Clifford Lee Jr. of Green Springs, Ohio and Earlie Lee of Clyde, Ohio; and two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Ada Mae) Gittinger and Mrs. Clayton (Sally) Day, both of Green Springs, Ohio.
A grandchild; a brother, Milan Lee; and a sister, Jennie Sherman, also are deceased.
Mrs. Laux retired as a nurses aide from St. Francis Villa. She also farmed with her husband. A resident of Republic for 18 months, she formerly lived at 407 E. Adams St. in Green Springs.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday Nov. 15, 2001, in the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Engle-Young Funeral Home.

Robert H. Lang, 63, of 16 S. Douglas St., Bloomville, died Friday Nov. 9, 2001, at his residence.

Bernice Loughley
Bernice Loughley, 92, of Chagrin Falls and formerly of rural Carey, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in St. Vincent's Hospital in Cleveland.
She was born June 22, 1909, in Holmes Township, Crawford County to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Strohm) Jenner. She married
William C. Loughley on Oct. 5, 1940. He died Sept. 24, 1982.
Survivors include: a son, William A. Loughley of Hudson; a stepdaughter, Mrs. George (Jane) Scheatzle of Carey; a sister, Susan Augusta Jenner of Chagrin Falls; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carey. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Bucyrus.
Visitation is 12:30 - 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Raymond Elkins
Raymond Elkins, 76, of Ashland, Ky., and a former Junior Home student of Tiffin, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; a son, Richard; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Waugh; a brother, Reynold of Kettering, Ohio; two sisters, Mildred Mellert and Genevieve Dyer of Ashland; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services took place Nov. 13, 2001, at the Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood (Ashland) Ky. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery in Westwood.
Russell W. Stephenson
Russell Walter "Steve" "Russ" Stephenson, 91, of Clyde died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Arbors of Clyde.
He was born June 7, 1910, in Cleves, Ohio to the late William Walter and Rosa (Shallenberg) Stephenson. He married
Marguerite (Marge) Mason on Dec. 23, 1936, and she survives.
Survivors also include: two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Florence) Stier of Greensburg, Ind. and Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Zimmer of Cincinnati.
Mr. Stephenson was a World War II veteran of the Navy Seabees having served in Pearl Harbor and Iwo Jima.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. Military graveside services will be provided by the Clyde American Legion and Clyde VFW at McPherson cemetery in Clyde.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, with Eagles services at 6:45 p.m. and Masonic services at 7 p.m.
Madge Eachus
Madge Eachus, age 103, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 13, 2001.
She was born June 11, 1898, in Kingston, Ohio and was the daughter of the late William J. and Louisa Jane (Ranck) Acord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Eachus.
Survivors include: a son, Joe and wife Jane Eachus of Van Wert, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two daughters-in-law, Martha Eachus of Minford and Jean Eachus of Tiffin.
Deceased also include: two sons, Dan Eachus and Thomas Eachus; a brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Eachus was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Gallipolis Chapter Eastern Star, and was a charter member of the Riverside Study Club.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Ingram and the Rev. Jonathan Kollman officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice or to Grace United Methodist Church in Gallipolis.
