Robert M. Lynch
Robert M. Lynch, 85, of Bettsville, died at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at St. Claire Medical Center.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Salem United Methodist Church in Bettsville. Burial will be in Liberty cemetery.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Friday at Engle Funeral Home of Bettsville, which is handling arrangements.
Norman R. Bolen
Norman R. Bolen, 88, of Fostoria, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Helena, to the late Ralph H. and Estella (Houtz) Bolen. He married
Mary Doris Roberts on Nov. 7, 1937, in Fostoria and she survives.
Survivors also include: a son, Gerhard N. Bolen of Nashville, Tenn., a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Cathie) Rhoades of Marion; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Whitman of Fostoria; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Fostoria with the Rev. Branson J. Hawkes officiating. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery in Fostoria.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Masonic Memorial Services at 7 p.m.
Rickerd C. Carrel
Rickerd C. "Rick" Carrel, 48, of 1312 Joseph Rd., Fostoria, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Toledo Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1953, to the late S. James Carrel and Adda (Snyder) Carrel. She survives in Fostoria. He married
Susan A. Moes on Oct. 11, 1974, at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Fostoria, and she survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: a son, Christopher L. Carrel and a daughter, Meghan L. Carrel, both of Fostoria; and a sister, Mrs. Gary (Gwen L.) Wisbon of Fremont.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Fostoria. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria.
Robert Vera
Robert Vera, 43, of 22911 SR 12, Fostoria, died Tuesday Oct. 2, 2001, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born July 12, 1958, in Tiffin, OH, to Vincent and Lupe (Lara) Vera. They survive in Tiffin. On May 2, 1987, in Tiffin, OH he married
Lynn Williams, who also survives.
Other survivors include: children, Risha Vera and Bobby Vera, both at home in Fostoria; a brother, David Vera of Carey, OH; six sisters, Lupe Rodriquez, Mrs. Bob (Gloria) Hayes, Mrs. Jim (Sue) Schock and Mrs. Jon (Josie) Nutter, all of Tiffin, Mrs. Dave (Alice) Keefe of New Riegel, OH and Mrs. Jerry (Marty) Boehler of Perrysburg, OH; and grandmother, Clara Vera of Tiffin.
Two sisters, Clara and Virginia Vera, are both deceased.
Mr. Vera, a 1976 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School, was employed as a service advisor for Graff Auto Mall. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 5, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, with the rosary recited at 9:45 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Art Niewiadomski will officiate. Burial will be at 6 p.m. Monday Oct. 8, in St. Patrick Catholic cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to PanCan (Pancreatic Cancer Research) or St. Patrick Church.
Cecil E. Fitch
Cecil Elmer Fitch, 65, of 1096 S. Brace Ave., Tiffin, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Job, Ky., to the late James and Lona (Bowen) Fitch. He married
Alice Faye Runion Feb. 13, 1954, in Tiffin and she survives.
Survivors also include: a son, Cecil Fitch of Tiffin; four daughters, Mrs. Mario (Robbin) Leonard of Bellevue, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Opp, Mrs. James (Betty) Montz, and Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Adams, all of Tiffin; three brothers, Haskell, Garland and Chester Fitch, all of Tiffin; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Nell) Mills of Wellston, Lilly Price and Mrs. William (Mary) Klewer, both of Tiffin; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, Tiffin. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Robert L. Miller
Robert L. Miller, 75, 166 Second Ave., died at 7:56 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Tiffin to George L. and Myrtle (Coehick) Miller. They are deceased. He married
Mary Ann Bura on Feb. 3, 1951, at St. Mary's Rectory in Tiffin. She survives.
Survivors also include: three sons, Gary A. Miller of Yardville, N.J., Gregory A. Miller of Bowling Green and George A. Miller of Tiffin; three daughters, Gwynn A. Reinhart and Gail Zoeller, both of Tiffin, and Gloria A. Klempert, of Northwood; a brother, Marion Miller of Rochester Hills, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A brother, Raymond Miller, preceded him in death.
Mr. Miller served in the army during World War II in Germany.
He was a 1944 graduate of Columbian High School. He worked as a foreman at American Standard from 1951-1986, and was vice-president of the union at American Standard. He was a member of the VFW, Moose and Amvets. He had also been a Tiffin policeman for a brief time.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home in Tiffin. Veteran's graveside services will be in St. Mary Catholic cemetery in Tiffin.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Tiffin, with a wake service at 8:45 p.m.

Vicki J. Workman
Vicki J. Workman, 45, of 425 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at her home.
She was born Nov. 12, 1955, in Upper Sandusky to the late O. Charles Russell and A. Louise (Traxler) Russell. Her mother survives in Upper Sandusky. She married
Kevin R. Workman on June 15, 1991, in Upper Sandusky. He survives.
Survivors also include: a sister, Mrs. James (Diane) Groth; a brother, Jeffrey Allen Russell; and two nephews.
Visitation is at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home 2-5 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Services with police honors will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Dahl B. Predmore
Dahl B. Predmore, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at the Winebrenner Village in Findlay.
He was born July 22, 1915, in Lakewood, to Charles and Blanche (Kempsill) Predmore. They are deceased. He married
Elizabeth Bellinger in 1938. They later divorced. He married
Gloria (Gibson) Rosencrans. She survives.
Survivors include: a son, Phillip D. Predmore of Pontiac, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Rex (Patricia) Tong of Findlay; a stepson, James L. Rosencrans, Findlay; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Mr. Predmore was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Dorothy L. Flechtner
Dorothy L. Flechtner, 84, of Tiffin, died at 6:43 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1917, to Guy and Vera (Ekleberry) Mohr. They are deceased. She married
Clifford V. Flechtner. He is deceased.
Survivors include: a brother, Keith Mohr, of Sycamore; a sister, Jaquelyn Yeager, of Tiffin; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Pleasant View cemetery in Sycamore.
Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin.
Kathryn R. McLaughlin
Kathryn R. McLaughlin, 91, of Chesterton Ind., and formerly of Fostoria, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at The Waters of Duneland Nursing Home in Chesterton, Ind.
She was born July 10, 1910, in Fostoria to Charles Sterling and Pearl Elsea. She married
Alford H. McLaughlin on June 3, 1933, in Fostoria. He died Nov. 2, 1999.
Survivors include: a son, John McLaughlin of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Ann) Schaeffer of Long Beach, Ind., five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Knollcrest Gardens in Arcadia. The Rev. Jeffrey L. Waite will be the officiant.
There will be no visitation.

Earl E. Strauss
Earl E. Strauss, 79, of Fostoria died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at Independence House, Fostoria.
He was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Bloomdale, to the late Arthur W. and Beulah (Brubaker) Strauss. He married
Doris M. Everhard on May 6, 1948, in Ravenna, Ohio. She preceded him in death Dec. 13, 1993.
Survivors include: two sons, Dr. Ronald G. Strauss of Iowa City, Iowa, and John W. Strauss of Hoover, AL; a daughter, Mrs. William (Terry A.) Piper of Fostoria; a brother, Leo Strauss of Hicksville; a sister, Elaine Wilson of Waldron, Mich., 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Branson J. Hawkes will officiate services at10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria. Interment will be in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Charlotte N. Wilbert
Charlotte N. Wilbert, 61, of Clyde, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, in Bellevue Hospital, Bellevue.
She was born Feb. 17, 1940, in Tiffin, to the late Albert R. and Quida (Knepper) Taylor.
Survivors include two sons, William Albert McEwen of Clyde and Aaron T. Wilbert of Tiffin; a brother, David G. Taylor of Edon, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Judith) Abel of Fremont, and Mrs. Peter (Christina) Rex of Toledo; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mexico cemetery with the Rev. Judy Shumaker officiating.
There will be no visitation.

Homer L. Bowser
Homer L. Bowser, 80, of Fremont, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Arbors of Clyde.
He was born April 29, 1921, in Gibsonburg, to the late Curtis and Reta (Light) Bowser. He married
Lois Kolbe on March 26, 1949, and she survives.
Survivors include: a son, Timothy Bowser of Clyde; a daughter, Judith Widman of Romulus, Michigan; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
Graveside services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at McPherson cemetery, Veteran's Section, in Clyde.
There will be no visitations. Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Clarence J. Heinrichs
Clarence J. "Butch" Heinrichs, 93, of Attica, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
He was born Nov. 7, 1907, in St. Henry, Mercer County, to the late George and Matilda (Ahlers) Heinrichs.
Mr. Heinrichs worked for the NKP railroad for 31 years and was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Attica.
Mr. Heinrichs is survived by two sons, Robert E. Heinrichs and his wife Jane of Attica, and Tom J. Heinrichs and his wife Kay of Toledo; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Boes) Heinrichs; a daughter, Bonnie L. Heinrichs; a brother, Walter G. Heinrichs; and a sister, Marcella Goble.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Joseph P. Szybka officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery, Tiffin.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, Attica, with a rosary service being held at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in the form of masses at the funeral home.
