Joanna E. Missler

Joanna E. Missler, 89, died at 5:25 a.m., Sunday, June 17, 2001, in Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
She was born Jan. 27, 1912, in Huron County, to Frederick and Ottilia (Gerber) Missler, and they are deceased.
Survivors include: a brother, Herman S. Missler of Bellevue; and six sisters, Zita Huss of Tiffin, Marcella Scherer of Sandusky, Rosella Heydinger of Shelby, Irene Oeder of Sandusky, Rita Felker of Bellevue and Lucille Schneider of Toledo.
A brother, Elmer Missler, and a sister, Henrietta Frisch, are deceased.
Miss Missler was a homemaker and caregiver and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rosary recited 15 minutes prior, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. James Say will officiate. Burial will be in Sebastian cemetery in Bismark, Ohio.
Visitation is 9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to services at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home in Tiffin.

Mabel Marie Mohre
Upper Sandusky resident
Mabel Marie Mohre, 87, of 14212 CH 97, Upper Sandusky, died at 9:05 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2001, in Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont.
She was born Aug. 5, 1913, in Wyandot County, to Edward L. and Jennie C. (Ulrich) Bartholomew, and both are deceased. On April 12, 1936, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper, she married
Forrest J. Mohre, and he died July 3, 1990.
Survivors include: two sons, Glenn Mohre of Wis., and Donald Mohre of Solon; two daughters, Martha J. Mann Kozman of Tallahassee, Fla., and Mrs. James (Arlene) Fleming of Fremont; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
A brother died in infancy.
Mrs. Mohre was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky and a former member of the Wyandot County Farm Bureau.
She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, piano playing, quilting, sewing, cooking and baking.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bringman-Clark and Co. Funeral Home in Upper. The Rev. Jerry Elsholz will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
Visitation is 6-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rex A. Mosher
Retired owner, Mosher Construction
Rex A. Mosher, 48, of SR 12 in Fostoria, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1952, in Fostoria, to Robert and Carolyn (Fisher) Mosher, and they survive in Fostoria. On Sept. 6, 1975, in Waukesha, Wis., he married
LuAnn Schwartz and she survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: three sons, Kenneth, Peter and Joseph Mosher, all of Findlay; and a brother, Larry J. Mosher of White Cloud, Mich.
Mr. Mosher retired as owner and operator of Mosher Construction in Fostoria. He was a 1971 graduate of Arcadia High School and he completed his carpenter's apprenticeship at the University of Wisconsin and District One Technical School in EauClaire, Wis. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Findlay and was a member of Local 1581 Carpenters Union in Napoleon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. The Rev. Dan L. Young will officiate. Burial will take place in Union cemetery near West Independence.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to Wednesday's services.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Peggy J. Yates
Clyde resident
Peggy J. Yates, 76, of Hickory Street, Clyde, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, in Fremont Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Thayer, W.Va., to George E. and Ruth Ann (Browning) Combs, and both are deceased. On Nov. 22, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas, she married
Harold Yates. He died in May 1974.
Survivors include: three sons, Rodger Yates of Green Springs and Ronald and Terry Yates, both of Clyde; two daughters, Mrs. William (Carolyn) Rose and Brenda Warner, both of Clyde; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Humphrey of Colorado and Mrs. Frank (Ona Lee) Van Meter of Norwalk; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Two infant brothers and three sisters, Elizabeth Patton, Frances Sours and Pauline Horvath, are deceased.
Mrs. Yates was a member of Clyde Eagles and the Clyde VFW Auxiliary in addition to being a homemaker. She attended school in West Virginia.
Services will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. The Rev. Gerry Gosnell will preside. The Clyde VFW will provide memorial services at the burial site in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.
Mildred Lucille Young
Upper Sandusky resident
Mildred Lucille Young, 87, of 420 Clikar Dr., Upper Sandusky, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 11, 1913, in Salem Township in Wyandot County to Oscar F. and Minnie May (Truman) Burg, and both are deceased. She was raised by the Sim Parsell family from childhood through her teens. On Nov. 1, 1934, she married
Raymond E. Young, and he died May 4, 1982.
Survivors include: a son, James A. Young, and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Halm, both of Upper Sandusky; a sister, Naomi Adams of Tiffin; four half-brothers, Don, Ray and Richard Burg, all of Pennsylvania, and Oscar Burg of Florida; two half-sisters, Eleanor Lindsay of Pennsylvania and Gloria Theil of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three step-grandchildren.
A brother, Franklin Burg; three half-brothers, John, Leslie and Wilbur Burg, and four foster brothers are deceased.
Mrs. Young was a homemaker and assisted her husband with farming in Mifflin Township in Wyandot County. She had been employed with the former Young Insurance Agency.
She was a member of the John Stewart United Methodist Church in Upper and Faith Hope Circle, a former member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church, and a charter member and board member of the Upper Sandusky Lioness Club. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Gospel music, collecting bells and being with her grandchildren.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. John Hoover will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mission in Upper Sandusky.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marjorie Idella Rosenberger
Former Tiffin resident
Marjorie Idella Rosenberger died Nov. 25, 1997, in Cincinnati. Her body was donated to the University of Cincinnati Medical School.
She was born July 20, 1905, to Earl S. and Cora May (Wertz) Rosenberger.
A brother, Kenneth Rosenberger, is deceased.
Marjorie graduated from Heidelberg College in 1926. She taught in Tiffin and Elyria before becoming an instructor in speech, drama and debate in 1931 at Withrow. In 1947, she published "Mark My Words," in April 1961, she wrote "Preparing and Presenting a Speech," in 1966 she co-authored "Modern Speech" and in 1982, co-authored "Speaking Effectively." Also, she served as advisor for the Thalian Drama Club and produced and directed senior plays.
Miss Rosenberger was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Tiffin.
The internment of her remains will take place at 2 p.m. June 23 in the Rosenberger plot in Fairmount cemetery with the Rev. Richard Wertz officiating.
Lucille A. Hohman
Tiffin resident
Lucille A. Hohman, 89, of 200 Grand Ave., died Monday, June 18, 2001, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born April 28, 1912, in Liberty Township in Seneca County, to Albert and Minnie (Hammer) Williams. On Feb. 12, 1934, in St. Boniface Church in New Riegel, she married
Edward V. Hohman. He died Dec. 1, 1995.
Survivors include: four sons, James A. and Ferdinand A. Hohman, both of Tiffin, Jerome J. Hohman of New Riegel and Stephen A. Hohman of McCutchenville; five daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Estella) Reinhart of Tiffin, Mrs. Eugene (Judith) Price and Mrs. Dale (Rita) Laibe, both of Republic, Mrs. Earl (Monica) Pine of New Washington and Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Schroeder of Ottawa; a brother, Albert M. Williams of Tiffin; a sister, Mrs. Jerome (Mabel) Brickner of Tiffin; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
A son, Vincent Hohman, a brother, George J. Williams, and two sisters, Mary Hohman and Mildred Lucius, are deceased.
Mrs. Hohman graduated from Bettsville High School in 1930 and was a homemaker and gardener. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
The Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, followed by mass at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Dunn will be the officiant. Burial will be in St. Boniface cemetery in New Riegel.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home in Tiffin. The Rosary will be recited at 6:50 p.m.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Harry B. McDaniel
McDaniel Insurance owner
Harry B. McDaniel, 89, of Kansas, Ohio, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 6, 1911, in Kansas to Ira C. and Mabel G. (Reese) McDaniel. On Oct. 31, 1944, in Fostoria, he married
Jean E. Warner and she survives.
A daughter, Linda McDaniel-Smith of Columbus, also survives.
Three sisters, Donna Gray-King, Halle A. Altman, and Caryl A. Rowe, are deceased.
Mr. McDaniel was an independent insurance agent for more than 60 years and owned the McDaniel Insurance Agency in Bettsville. He graduated in the late 1920s from Jackson-Burgoon High School and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, a former member of the K of P Lodge in Kansas and a former volunteer fireman in Kansas.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kansas cemetery. The Rev. Ivan L. Schwenn will preside.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Kansas Volunteer Fire Department.
Arrangements are being handled with the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria.
Sharon Louise Nusbaum
Upper Sandusky resident
Sharon Louise Nusbaum, 60, of 6523 CR 124, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001, at her residence.
She was born April 10, 1941, in Upper Sandusky to Floyd P. and Alice L. (Snook) Seebach, and both are deceased. On Dec. 22, 1964, in Tiffin, she married
Jerry L. Nusbaum and he survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Gary L. Nusbaum of Carey and Todd E. Nusbaum of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Will (Jodi L.) Caldwell Jr. of Upper Sandusky; a brother, Terry L. Lane of London, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Her step-father, Russell Lane, a son, Scott A. Nusbaum, and a brother, Keith Lane, are deceased.
Mrs. Lane was a homemaker and worked at the former Millington Plastics in Upper Sandusky and the former RCA in Findlay. She attended Sycamore United Methodist Church and was a member of Tiffin Eagles Lodge, VFW Auxiliary in Upper Sandusky, and was a Sycamore EMS/ EMT volunteer.
She graduated in 1959 from Upper Sandusky High School and enjoyed bowling, shopping, collectibles and sharing time with her family.
Services and interment will be private. The Rev. Charles Steward will officiate.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Larry L. Cheney
AEP-Ohio Power Co. retiree
Larry L. Cheney, 60, of 493 N. 4th St., Upper Sandusky, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 8, 1940, in Wyandot County, to Chester H. and Marguerite (Bolyard) Cheney and both are deceased. On July 2, 1960, in New Winchester, he married
Dorothy A. Coldiron and she survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Richard A. and Michael L. Cheney, both of Upper Sandusky; three grandchildren; five brothers, James Cheney of Carey, Steven Cheney of Upper Sandusky, Dennis Cheney of Weston, Roger Cheney of Ashland and Randy Cheney of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a sister, Judith Lianos of Upper Sandusky.
Mr. Cheney, a 1958 Upper Sandusky High School graduate, retired in July 2000 after 33 years as a lineman with AEP-Ohio Power Co. He had previously been employed with the former Kroger store in Upper Sandusky. For the past year, he worked part-time at Fine Furniture Gallery in Upper Sandusky.
He was a member of the John Stewart United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, the Wyandot County Rod and Gun Club, a charter member of the Upper Sandusky Police Department Auxiliary and a member of the Wyandot Classics and Cruisers Car Club.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, playing golf, classic cars, riding his motorcycle, walking, hunting and watching Western movies.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bringman-Clark and Co. Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Charles Steward officiating. Burial will be in Old Mission cemetery in Upper.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Betty Virginia Gschwind

Betty Virginia Gschwind, 80, of Risingsun, died at 2:09 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria.
She was born April 28, 1921, in Odgen Center, Mich., to Harvey and Hazel (Stahl) Garberson, and both are deceased. On Aug. 30, 1940, in Risingsun, she married
Pearl "Babe" Gschwind. He died in 1990.
Survivors are: a son, Paul Gschwind of Helena; a daughter, Nancy Laux of Tiffin; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
A brother, Paul Garberson, and a sister, Constance Garberson, are deceased.
Mrs. Gschwind retired in 1980 as a cook/server for the Lakota School District in Risingsun after 25 years. She was a member of IOOF Rebekah Lodge 635 in Portage since 1950.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Barndt Funeral Home, 121 W. South St., Wayne. Burial will be in Scott-Trinity cemetery in Scott Township, Sandusky County.
Visitation is 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
