Marie Burman
Retired registered nurse
Marie Burman, 93, formerly of 7 W. Market St., Tiffin, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Arbors of Clyde Nursing Home, a resident since 1998. She was born July 14th, 1907 to Frank and Grace (Karrick) Estill. On March 30, 1929 she married
Harry K. Burman. He is deceased.
Surviving include: a son, Lanny Burman of Maumee; a daughter, Mrs. June Cleveland of Clyde; two brothers, Carl Estill of Texas, Clarence Estill of Fla.; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a brother, John Estill.
Mrs. Burman was a graduate of Ada High School and worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church and the Ohio Nurses Association.
The Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001 at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Ada.
Visitation hours are from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mildred P. Balduf
Upper Sandusky resident
Mildred P. Balduf, 91, of 324 S. 5th St., Upper Sandusky died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in Wyandot Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Upper Sandusky on Dec. 4, 1909 to Joseph and Lena Pauline (Derr) Balduf.
Survivors are: a sister, Marie Hagley of Carey; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are: a brother, Robert Balduf; and four sisters, Lillian Balduf, Marilou Powell, Ruth Campbell and Irene Gillespie.
Miss Balduf retired as a salesclerk for Koehler Paint and Office Supply Store of Upper Sandusky in 1974. She also worked at Niekirks 5&10 cent store. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, she loved lawn care and racking leaves and being outside.
The Father James Homer will officiate the Graveside Christian Burial Service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2001 at the St. Peter's Catholic cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
The Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home in handling the arrangements.

Lucy E. Maurer
Retired elementary school teacher
Lucy E. Maurer, 76, of 2801 S. Main St., apt. H-1, Findlay, died on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. She was born Jan. 18, 1925 to John W. and Ida B. (Knepper) Good. On April 7, 1951 she married
James J. Maurer. They divorced.
Surviving include: three sons, Martin and Brian Maurer, both of Seattle, WA. and James Maurer of Findlay; a daughter, Susan Leonard of Findlay; a brother, Dr. Lowell Good of Lakewood; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Hansen of Huron and Mrs. Lois Zoll of Fostoria; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Deceased are: three brothers, Duane, John and James Good; and a sister, Lulu K. Good.
Mrs. Maurer retired as an elementary school teacher with Findlay City Schools for 26 years. Her memberships included: Retired Teachers Association for Hancock County and the State of Ohio; First Lutheran Church; Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center Volunteer in Same Day Surgery Department; Greater Findlay Area Emmaus Community; and Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center Auxiliary. She also worked in the Book Cellar of Hancock County Library.
The Rev. Mark Brodbeck will officiate the 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2001 funeral service at the United Church of Christ in Bascom. Burial will be at Liberty cemetery in Bettsville.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay.

Marshall D. (Bob) Bollenbacher, Jr.
President of Universal Decorating Service
Marshall D. (Bob) Bollenbacher, Jr., 82, of Flat Rock Rd., Bellevue, died on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Bellevue Hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1918 to Marshall D. (Don) and Ethel (Kemmes) Bollenbacher, Sr. On Oct. 14, 1941 he married
Molly M. Bilger, and she survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Marshall D. "Butch" Bollenbacher, III of Republic, Richard H. and Ned L. Bollenbacher, both of Bellevue; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Martin of Sycamore and Mrs. Rose Greene of Bellevue; a step-sister, Mrs. Linda Jennings; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Deceased are: his step-mother, Helen (Barr) Bollenbacher; a brother, William P. Bollenbacher.
Mr. Bollenbacher was a Class of 1936 graduate of Bellevue High School, he also attended Ohio State University for 3 1/2 years in chemical engineering. He worked for the U.S. Navy as a civilian chemical inspector and President of Universal Decorating Service for 28 years as a commercial decorator. He designed and built displays, parade floats and decorated conventions for Ohio State Fair, and Miss USA Pageants in the surrounding five states.
He was an honorary member of Zion Lutheran Church of Adams Twp.
The Rev. Paul Long will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001 funeral service at the Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Fireside cemetery in Fireside, Ohio. The funeral arrangements are being handled by the Auxter Funeral Home of Bellevue.

Denver E. Vroman
Owner of Vroman Rubber
Denver E. Vroman, 89, formerly of Napoleon St., Fremont died Monday afternoon, April 2, 2001 at Seneca House in Tiffin. He was born Feb. 16, 1912 in Burgoon to Herbert and Hattie (Swartout) Vroman. On July 8, 1933 he married
Viola Gutschaulk, and she survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Kenneth Vroman of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Rosemary Vroman Bishop of Tiffin and Rita Vroman Spieldenner of Fremont; eight grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Deceased are: three sisters, Mabel Vroman, Amy Vroman Gascoyne and Alma Vroman Clark; and seven brothers, Harold, Glenn, Orvis, and Claude Vroman and three infant brothers.
Mr. Vroman graduated from Jackson High School in Burgoon in 1930, he had been a boiler operator at Fremont Junior High School until his retirement in 1977. He was also the owner operator of Vroman Rubber Stamp Company.
The Rev. Bill Smith will officiate the funeral services to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary in Fremont. Burial will be at Greenlawn cemetery Gardens in Clyde.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., tonight, at the Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to the building fund of Trinity United Church of Christ in Tiffin and/or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Catherine A. McClellan, 65, of 2400 S. Twp. Rd. 119 died at 8:05 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2001, at her residence.

Olive J. Moser
Upper Sandusky resident
Olive J. Moser, 83, of 323 N. Third St., Upper Sandusky, died at 3:25 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2001, at the Kobacker Hospice House in Columbus.
She was born Jan. 20, 1918, in Wyandot County to Marion C. and Minnie E. (Lamb) Bower. She married
Carl E. Moser. He died Nov. 8, 1975.
Survivors include: a son, Ronald L. Moser of Columbus; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Charles H. and Harold of Upper Sandusky, and Robert of Marion.
Deceased are a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Eleanor Newell.
Mrs. Moser was a homemaker; owned and maintained several rental properties in Upper Sandusky; did home cleaning; a member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Upper Sandusky, Warpole Chapter of Order of Eastern Star #366, Wyandot County Ladies Shrine Club; organized and participated in the senior citizens progressive euchre gatherings; enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, crocheting, painting and wallpapering; and enjoyed visiting friends in the nursing home.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Bringman-Clark and Co. Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Charles Preston officiating. Interment will be in Nevada cemetery.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Joseph Dale Niederkohr, Sr.
Retired carpenter
Joseph Dale Niederkohr, Sr., 76, of 567 West St., Carey, died at 9:07 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2001, in the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Carey to Harry and Mary (Boyce) Niederkohr; married
Doris M. Beis on Feb. 10, 1941, in the Rectory at Our Lady of Consolation in Carey and she survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, P. Wayne and Joseph D. of Carey; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were: four brothers, Herman, Paul, George and Charles; and a sister, Marietta Seifert.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at The Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with the Rev. Benjamin Knopp, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Sunday in the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, where the Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 8:30 p.m.

Carol Rose Ellen Marfia, 64, of 428 Maple, Liberty, Mo. died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Mo.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1936, in Maple Grove to Howard L. and Nina A. (Howe) Roush who are deceased. She married
John Marfia and he survives in Liberty, Mo.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Edwards of Kansas City, Mo., and Princess Tate Sturgeon of Independence, Mo.; three grandchildren; a brother, John Roush of St. James City, Fla.; and two sisters, Mary Bickelhaupt of Fostoria and Martha Carter of Tiffin.
She was employed for 18 years in the fabric department of Walmart in Kansas City, Mo.; and a member of the Second Baptist Church, Liberty, Mo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Liberty, Mo., with the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Graham officiating and burial in Glenridge cemetery, Liberty, Mo.

Robert E. "Speedy" Hill
Korean War veteran of Tiffin
Robert E. "Speedy" Hill, 72, of 378 Clinton Avenue, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Tiffin, October 31, 1928, to Ernest and Florence Mae (Blackwell) Smith. They preceded him in death. On March 10, 1951, in Findlay, he married
Jane Arlene Ammons; and she survives. Recently they had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Survivors also include: two sons, Jeffrey J. Hill of Tiffin, and Aaron A. Hill of Miami, Fla., a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Geri D.) Bogard, a brother, Ernest Hill, and a sister Mary McIntyre all of Tiffin, and
three grandchildren.
Mr. Hill, a 1947 graduate of Columbian High School, was employed as an Inspector at General Electric, and retired in 1982. He attended First Lutheran Church, and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Service will be 10:30 Wednesday at the Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Margaret Marks officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn cemetery with a military graveside service conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation is 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Community Hospice or the Donor's Choice.
George R. Stover
Tiffin resident
George R. Stover, 72, of 3733 E. TR 122, died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001, at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born October 25, 1928, in Upper Sandusky, to Levi and Unis (Rank) Stover. They preceded him in death. On December 28, 1946, in Tiffin, he married
Jean A. Cole and she survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Mark Stover of Republic, and Matthew Stover of Pittsburgh, two daughters, Diane Hampshire of Tiffin, and Susan Windsor of Fostoria, a sister, Mildred Reis of Columbus, 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are eight brothers.
Mr. Stover had been employed as a driver with South Shore Truck Driving and retired in 1972.
The Rev. Keith Stripe will officiate the service which is pending and will be announced at a later date by the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

John Michael Bell
Motorsports enthusiast
John Michael Bell, 42, of 37 E. New Haven St., Bloomville, died early Saturday morning, April 7, 2001, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 16, 1959, in Tiffin, to John H. and Connie A. (Collier) Bell, and they survive in Tiffin. On October 22, 1982, in Bettsville, he married
Glenna Harrison, and she survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Brandon Bell, at home, three brothers, Stephen Bell of Tiffin, Daniel J. and James D. Bell, both of Bowling Green, two sisters, Mrs. Scott (Michelle) Swander of Tiffin, and Mrs. Ken (Janice) Allen of Bloomville, and maternal grandparents, Dale and Juanita Collier of Tiffin.
Preceding him in death include: a sister, Tina Marie in 1981, and paternal grandparents, Francis and Henrietta Bell.
Mr. Bell, a U.S. Army veteran and a 1977 graduate of Hopewell-Louden High School was employed at the Clyde Whirlpool Corporation. He attended Bloomville United Church of Christ and was an avid go-cart racer.
The Rev. Rex King, of the New Beginning Assembly of God Church of Tiffin, will officiate the 10:30 a.m. service, Wednesday, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, Bloomville. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Tiffin, at a later date.
Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
