Freda L. Schreiner
Bellevue homemaker
Freda L. Schreiner, 82, of 222 Highland Ave., Bellevue, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in the Bellevue Hospital.
She was born May 5, 1918, in Seneca County, to Edward A. and Catherine (Zietzer) McConnell. Her first husband, Raymond Dendinger, is deceased. Her second husband, Herbert Schreiner, died in 1983.
Survivors include: four sons, Richard Dendinger of Ft. Ogden, Fla., Paul, Michael and Ronald Dendinger, all of Bellevue; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela Neikirk of Republic; and a brother, Robert McConnell of Tiffin.
Three brothers, George, Gust and Archie; and two sisters, Clara and Clemma, also are deceased.
Mrs. Schreiner, a homemaker, was a member of the Eagles and American Legion Auxiliaries, Ladies of the Moose, Club Ameri-Ital and St. John's Lutheran Church.
The Rev. David Wietelman will be the officiant at the 1 p.m. Wednesday service in St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Block cemetery, Republic.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Wilfred G. 'Bill' Wagner
New Riegel native
Wilfred G. "Bill" Wagner, 79, formerly of Main Street, Risingsun, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in the Grand Rapids Care Center, Grand Rapids, Ohio, where he resided.
He was born Sept. 17, 1921, in New Riegel, to Ross and Rose Wagner. On Oct. 4, 1952, in New Riegel, he married
Cleo M. Klotz. She died March 27, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Curtis R. Wagner of Risingsun; three daughters, Sheila M. Sharp and Pamela L. Feller, both of Fostoria and Ginger M. Wilson of Kansas, Ohio; two brothers, Raymond and Ervin Wagner, both of New Riegel; a sister, Esther Hark of New Riegel; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Elmer, Maurice, Francis and Robert Wagner; and a sister, Lenora Frankart.
Mr. Wagner, a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, retired in 1980 from Pfizer Lime Plant in Gibsonburg.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Trinity cemetery, near Risingsun.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where a Scripture service will take place at 7:45 pm..

James A. Porczak
Norfolk/Southern Railroad retiree
James A. Porczak, 61, of CR 175, Clyde, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Firelands Community Hospital.
He was born July 24, 1939, in Fremont, to the late Anthony J. Porczak and Esther A. Novitaski.
Survivors include: two daughters, Phyllis A. Everett of Fremont and Tamela M. Brunner of Norwalk; a brother, Jeffrey Porczak of Powell; two sisters, Marilyn Dubielak of Tiffin and Antoinette "Toni" Shilling of Fremont; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Porczak, a U.S. Navy veteran, worked for Miller Pipeline following high school and retired as a pipefitter in 1995 from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, after 26 years of service.
A 1957 graduate of Ross High School, Fremont, he lettered in football.
An avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Red Wings, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and his pets.
Services in the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home, Fremont, will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Sandusky County Unit, Hospice of Sandusky County or the Defenders of Wildlife Fund.
Fonda N. Garrigues
Homemaker/businesswoman
Fonda N. Garrigues, 99, of 142 US 30, Nevada, Ohio, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in the Fairhaven Health Care Community, Upper Sandusky, where she had resided since January.
She was born Dec. 10, 1901, in Wyandot County, to Jasper Newton and Norabell (Smith) Walton. Her husband, Harry W. Garrigues, whom she married
Dec. 24, 1922, in Oceola, Ohio, died Nov. 8, 1978.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Tommy W., who died at the age of 4; five brothers, Arthur, Howard, Emery, Ward and Robert; and three sisters, Alice Neate, Elsie Neate and Gladys McClain.
A homemaker and farm business woman on the livestock/grain farming operation, which she and her husband owned, Mrs. Garrigues attended the one-room Hardscrabble School.
She was an 80-year member of Oceola United Methodist Church, where she served as a former choir director, Sunday School teacher, youth director, organist and pianist, and as past president and past financial secretary of the church board.
A member of the Wyandot County D.A.R. and WCTU of Crawford County, she enjoyed needle pointing, caning chairs and refurnishing furniture.
The Rev. Derik Hines will be the officiant at the 1:30 p.m. Wednesday service in the Bringman Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. Interment will be in Nevada cemetery.
Visitation will be noon until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Albert L. Siebenaller, 88, 182 St. Francis Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in St. Francis Home. The service will take place Thursday in St. Francis Home Chapel. Further arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
Mary Ann Alberts
Mother of Tiffin resident
Mary Ann Alberts, 96, of Steubenville, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born March 14, 1904, in Bellaire, Ohio, to Julius and Mary (Wisvary) Bronchik. Her husband, James Alberts, died March 14, 1969.
Surviving are two sons, James of Tiffin and Charles of Wintersville; a brother, James of Bellaire; three sisters, Josephine Rohr of Gainesville, Fla., Ann Sklenar of Bellaire and Vickie Masarik of Massillon; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Julius Bronchik; and a sister, Rose Rohr.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Interment will be in Union cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday until time of the service at the funeral home.

Albert L. Siebenaller

Albert L. Siebenaller, 88, formerly of Riverlea Park, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in St. Francis Home, 182 St. Francis Ave.
He was born Nov. 18, 1912, in New Riegel, to Louis and Philomenia (Schalk) Siebenaller. He had never married
.
A sister, Hilda Durbin of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews, survive.
Three brothers and a sister, also are deceased.
Mr. Siebenaller, a graduate of Calvert High School and Tiffin University in 1934, retired in 1977, as an officer, from the Commercial National Bank, after 38 years of employment.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Catholic Knights of Ohio and the Knights of Columbus.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Dunn as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Boniface cemetery, New Riegel.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home and 9-10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis Home Chapel. The Knights of Columbus members will have a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. and the CK of O services will be at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rural Bellevue farmer
Thomas P. Miller, 55, of 16050 E. Seneca CR 46, Bellevue, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Haynes City Hospital, Haynes City, Fla.
He was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Bellevue, to the late Robert O. and Anna C. (Schoen) Miller. His wife, Joan (Miller) Miller, whom he married
Nov. 25, 1967, in Bellevue, survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Bryan Miller of Bellevue; a daughter, Amy Ferres of Bellevue; a grandson; two brothers, Dean Miller of Bellevue and Eugene "Pete" Miller of Clyde; and two sisters, Mrs. David (Jane) Milkie of Bellevue and Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Pifher of Tiro.
A son, Thomas Miller, also is deceased.
Mr. Miller, a farmer, was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Bellevue Eagles 490, Buckeye Allis Club and the Seneca County Farm Bureau.
A 1963 graduate of Thompson High School, he served as a former board member of the Seneca County Soil and Water Conservation Board.
He enjoyed tractor pulling and sprint car racing.
The Rev. John Nagel will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday service in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, where the rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Steeple Fund.
Corinne E. Meisner
Tiffin homemaker/centenarian
Corinne E. Meisner, 100, died at 1:27 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, in St. Francis Home, where she had resided since 1992.
She was born Nov. 14, 1900, in Tiffin, to Louis E. and Caroline (Hollinger) Perry. Her first husband, Victor Hopple, died in 1936. She later married
Harold Meisner in 1938. He died May 1, 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Norma Jeanne) Focht of Cape Coral, Fla. and Mrs. Marion (Maxine) Hossler of Tiffin; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A brother also is deceased.
Mrs. Meisner, a homemaker and life-long Tiffin area resident, also worked as an office manager at the former LaSalle's in Tiffin.
A graduate of Columbian High School, she attended Tiffin University and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and St. Paul's Daughters, where she served as past president.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gail Angel officiating. Private burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Mabel L. Might
Tiffin homemaker
Mabel L. Might, 94, formerly of 620 S. Washington St., died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in the Autumnwood Care Center, where she had resided since July 1986.
She was born Feb. 11, 1907, in Fostoria, to William and Emma (Smith) Wolf. On June 11, 1924, in Monroe County, Mich., she married
Millard Might, who is deceased.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. James (Phyllis) Miller of Tiffin; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Wilhemina) Costello of Laguna Hills, Calif.
A son, Jack Might; and three brothers, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Might, a Fostoria High School graduate, was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Gail Angel will conduct the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Angelina M. Franks
Former Clyde resident
Angelina M. Franks, 81, formerly of Clyde, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in the ValleyView Nursing Home, Fremont.
She was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Bellevue, to George and Katie (Cassiero) Nigro. Her husband, Ivan Raymond Franks, whom she married
Aug. 25, 1943, survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, John Franks of Jasper, Ind. and James Franks of Clyde; a brother, Robert Nigro of Sandusky; two sisters, Mrs. James (Lucy) McGrady of Fremont and Mildred Henderson of Hawaii; and a grandson.
A son, Robert Franks died in 1995; and five brothers, Daniel, Nick, Joe, George and John Nigro, also are deceased.
Mrs. Franks, a 1940 graduate of Bellevue High School, had been employed as a laborer at the General Electric. She also worked at Philco for 14 years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde and its Altar and Rosary Society and served as a volunteer at St. Mary's School.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde, with the Rev. Jeff Nordhouse officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Wednesday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, where a Scripture service will take place at 4:45 p.m.
