Mae B. Ziegler

Mae B. Ziegler, 83, of 2662 S. SR 53, Fremont, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, in the Fremont Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 6, 1917, to Arthur C. and Eliza J. (Slaton) Blackwell. She married
John E. Ziegler on March 15, 1940, at her home in Perry, Ga., and he survives.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Kizer of Tiffin, and Mrs. Brian (Dorothy) Linn of Clyde; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A son, John E. Ziegler, Jr.; four brothers, Lawry, Woodrow, Orville and Condise; three sisters, Oriazell Blackwell, Ellen Blackwell and Jewell Lee Crenshaw are deceased.
Mrs. Ziegler was a graduate of Perry High School; a homemaker; an active partner with her husband in farming; a member of the Old Fort United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church, Win One Sunday School Class and Old Fort Lady Lions.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wiles officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Union cemetery.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to either the Old Fort United Methodist Church or the Old Fort Lions Club.
Betty L. Maloy
GE retiree
Betty L. Maloy, 75, of 1270 N. Twp. Rd. 73, died at 12:48 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in the Autumnwood Care Center where she had been residing for three weeks.
Mrs. Maloy was born Nov. 25, 1925, to Dewey and Bessie (Stuckey) Billman.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Linda) Wyckhouse of Fremont and Leanne Dishong of Tiffin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a 1944 Columbian High School graduate; retired from General Electric after 39 years; was a member of G.E. Retiree's, GEWOTS and Tiffin Moose.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with the Rev. James Michaels officiating and burial in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Seneca County Cancer or Seneca County Humane Society.
Ione Stoner
Ford Motor retiree
Ione Stoner, 92, of Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, and formerly of West Millgrove, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, in the home.
She was born July 12, 1908, in Perry Twp., Wood County, to Richard and Oliver (Breneman) Ketcham; and married
Ralph Stoner May 28, 1927, and he died in August of 1948.
Survivors include: two sons, Richard E. Stoner of Fostoria and James H. Stoner of Mt. Dora, Fla.; a daughter, Margery May Stoner of Fostoria; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ellis (Grace) Gooch of Phoenix, Ariz.
A son and a brother, George A. Ketcham are also deceased.
Mrs. Stoner was a 1927 Fostoria High School graduate; a homemaker; retired from the Fostoria Ford Motor Co.; member of the West Millgrove Congregational Church and attended First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Pastor Edson Reed officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery, West Millgrove.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Floyd H. Kagy

Floyd H. Kagy, 84, of CR 60, Fostoria, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Kagy was born Dec. 12, 1915, to Stephen and Mary E. (DeVore) Kagy. He married
Clara E. Baker April 6, 1947, in Belmore, and she survives along with the following: a son, Floyd H. Kagy Jr. of Wisconsin; a daughter, Alyce Guernsey of Fostoria; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Serge Kagy of Bluffton.
A daughter, Mary Stewart; a grandson, Jamie Bennett; four brothers, John, Ray, Lawrence and Leonard Kagy; five sisters, Iva Bryan, Imo Varner, Dorotha Schweitzer, Nina Harmon and Florence Briggs are deceased.
He was a 1933 graduate of Crawfis College High School, Gillboa; a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II; retired from Columbia Gas Company, Fostoria, in 1983, after 25 years of employment; and a member of the Union United Church of Christ, Bascom.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. James Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation is 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Norman G. Miller, Sr.
Bellevue resident
Norman G. Miller, Sr., 70, of 114 Kern St., Bellevue, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Tiffin, to Miles O. and Olive A. (Glick) Miller. He married
Marilynn (Yahn) Miller May 4, 1957, in Bellevue and she survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Norman G. Miller Jr. of Bellevue; two daughters, Laurie Miller of Bellevue and Mrs. Gary (Marjorie) Yonek of Huron; four grandchildren; a brother, Rev. Del Miller of East Liverpool; and two sisters, Elaine Larson of Oshkosh, Wis. and Marion Carroll of Clyde.
His parents and a sister, Georgia Millerare deceased.
Mr. Miller was a 1950 graduate of Bellevue High School; an Army Veteran; retired in 1992 from the maintenance lubrication department at Whirlpool Corp.; and a member of the Bellevue Assembly of God.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bellevue Assembly of God with the Rev. Tim Davis and the Rev. John Ginty officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Juanita A. Amaya

Juanita A. Amaya, 61, of 259 SH 53 N, McCutchenville, died at the intersection of SH 67 and 103, west of Sycamore, at 4:44 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000.
She was born June 21, 1939, in Maxwell, Texas, to Alfonzo and Ofelia (Baker) Barron. She married
Joseph G. Amaya, Jr. on May 20, 1967, and he survives.
Other survivors include: his father of Genoa; two sons, Richard of Willoughby Hills and Nicholas of McCutchenville; a daughter, Mrs. Buddy (Stephanie) Danner of Sycamore; four grandchildren; a brother, Alfonzo, Jr. of Houston, Texas; and three sisters, Mrs. Rene (Mary Lou) Gonzalez of Gibsonburg, Nora Quintero of Pasadena, Texas, and Mrs. Mike (Maria) Giles of Elmore.
Her mother is deceased.
Mrs. Amaya was a 1958 graduate of Elmore High School; retired from the Harris Corporation in Findlay in 1999; and a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with the Rev. Benjamin Knopp, OFM. Conv. officiating. Burial will be St. Mary's cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, where a Rosary service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m.

Joanne M. Lannen

Joanne M. Lannen, 77, of 412 Glenview Dr., Fostoria, died at 3:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Fostoria Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in Fostoria to Otto and Adaline (Martin) Huth. She married
Richard M. Lannen on Oct. 4, 1947, in St. Wendelin's Catholic Church and he survives.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Vicki Lannen of Fostoria and Mrs. Stephen (Terri) Reinhart of Bascom; and two granddaughters.
Mrs. Lannen was a 1941 graduate of St. Wendelin High School; attend Tiffin University; was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and its Rosary-Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella.
A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 with burial in St. Wendelin Parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Wendelin Elementary School.

Visitation for Joanne M. Lannen, 77, of Fostoria, who died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Fostoria Community Hospital, are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Pauline Larimer Wessels
Columbian High School graduate
Pauline Larimer Wessels, 84, formerly of Hollyrood Road, Sandusky, died Friday morning, Dec. 8, 2000, in the Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky, where she resided.
She was born Feb. 15, 1916, in London, Ohio, to Jacob and Gertrude (Taylor) Rittenhouse. Her first husband, Arthur C. Larimer and her second husband, Ralph Wessels, both are deceased.
Survivors include: a son, Jake Larimer of Marco Island, Fla.; two grandchildren and a great-grandson; and four nieces and a nephew.
Also deceased are two sisters, Mary and Betty.
Mrs. Wessels, a school teacher, had been employed in the Sandusky Public Schools and the Perkins Public School system.
She graduated from Columbian High School and from Heidelberg College in 1938, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Phi Sorority.
A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sandusky, and the Chapel at Parkvue, where she served as chairperson of spiritual services, she also was involved with Hospice and the Carousel Museum, where she was the founder of the Larimer Gift Shop.
She also was a member of the I.A.B. Club, the Sunshine Club and the Erie County Retired Teacher's Association.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church, East Jefferson and Wayne streets, Sandusky, with the Rev. Charles L. Nash officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
The Groff Funeral Home, Sandusky, is in charge of arrangements.

Micheal David Tuttle
Fostoria High School senior
Micheal David Tuttle, 17, of 2560 Pelton Road, Fostoria, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, following a vehicle accident in Wyandot County.
He was born Jan. 29, 1983, in Fostoria, to Steven D. and Rhonda J. (Fairchild) Tuttle, who survive in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: a brother, Joseph J. Tuttle of Fostoria; paternal grandparents, Ron and Pat Tuttle of Fostoria; paternal great-grandmother, Margaret King of Fostoria; maternal grandparents, Jim and Sue Fairchild of Carey and Shirley Foster of Fostoria.
A senior in the Fostoria High School Class of 2001, he attended Sentinel Career Center in Tiffin, where he studied auto mechanics and was a member of the VICA.
He also was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, a student member of the Carey Conservation Club and a life Scout of Boy Scout Troop 450, Fostoria.
The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be at 8:30.
Memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 450 or Sentinel Career Center.
William A. Flechtner
Fostoria Industries retiree
William A. Flechtner, 82, of North Main Street, Fostoria, died at 1:35 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Fostoria, to Moes and Kathryn (Manecke) Flechtner. His wife, Virginia (Johnson) Flechtner, whom he married
Sept. 29, 1940, in Clyde, died Jan. 22, 1995.
Survivors include: a son, Gerald Flechtner of Fostoria; and a sister, Freda Longanecker of Central Point, Ore.
Mr. Flechtner retired in 1989 from Fostoria Industries, after 39 years of service.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria, with the Rev. David Chapman officiating.
There will be no visitation. The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Willard Burns
Whirlpool retiree
Kenneth Willard Burns, 87, 319 Clinton Ave., died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria, where he had been a resident for five months.
He was born April 28, 1913, in Seneca County to Willard Stratton and Beulah Mae (Dunlap) Burns. On Oct. 15, 1938, in the Church of Christ in Tiffin, he married
Evelyn Marie Creeger, who died Aug. 16, 1999.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. William (Beverly Ann) McCallister of Spencer; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Burns of Marion.
Also deceased are a brother, Eldon R. Burns; and two sisters, Llavon B. Lupton and Dolly (Burns) Zimmerman.
Mr. Burns, who was educated in Tiffin and Michigan, retired from Whirlpool Corp.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Tiffin Lodge Free and Accepted Masons 77, Order Eastern Star Tiffin Chapter 189, Tiffin Lodge Service 77 Free and Accepted Masons and Ancent Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Toledo.
The Rev. David Mills will be the officiant at the noon Wednesday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
