Karen Sue Schneider, 49, died at 4:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at her home at 8090 W. CR 18, Fostoria.
She was born Sept. 11, 1951, in Tiffin, to the late Paul H. and Helen Marie (Puckett) Fletcher. On April 18, 1970, she married
Allen Schneider. They were later divorced.
Survivors include her step-mother, Jo Ann M. Fletcher of Carey; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Kristina Helen) Shoemaker of Bloomdale and Jennifer Mae Schneider of Tiffin; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Connie) Niederkohr of Carey, Mrs. Ken (Shirley) Boes of Fostoria, Mrs. Brad (Teresa) McCormack of Leesville, S.C. and Gloria Luman, also of Fostoria; a step-sister, Mrs. David (Patricia) Underwood of Upper Sandusky; and three brothers, Paul R. and David Fletcher, both of Carey and Stephen Fletcher of Sycamore.
A member of the Protestant Faith, Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker and worked as a caregiver.
She attended Carey High School and graduated from Stautzenberger College with an associate degree in accounting.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pentecostal Church of God, Carey, with the Rev. Brent McMasters and the Rev. Robert Turner co-officiating.

Dalton R. Watkins
Premier Refractories retiree
Dalton R. Watkins, 70, 41 Oakwood Drive, died at 6:33 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
He was born July 17, 1930, in Wood County, to Chell and Bernice (Gibson) Watkins. His wife, Dema E. (Peterson) Watkins, whom he married
Sept. 3, 1950, in the Methodist Church Parsonage, Fort Seneca, survives.
Other survivors include: a son, MIchael L. Watkins of Medina; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Connie) Kalb of Bucyrus; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Leo Watkins of Winterhaven, Fla. and Bill Watkins of Bettsville.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Otie, Woody and Jim Watkins; and a sister, Edna Brandeberry.
Mr. Watkins, a 1948 graduate of Old Fort High School, retired from the lab at Premier Refractories, in Bettsville.
He was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church and the Basic Quarter Century Club.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with Mr. Dalton's nephew, Tim Peterson, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and one hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Sonia R. Gaietto
Former Tiffin resident
Sonia R. Gaietto, 79, formerly of Tiffin, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, in Tucson, Ariz., where she resided.
Visitation will take place 6-9 p.m. Sunday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home and the service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Catholic Church.
Martha Pauline (Mathias) Biller
Retired hospital employee
Martha Pauline Mathias, 91, of 1003 Misty Court, Harrisonburg, Va., died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000.
She was born Nov. 3, 1909, in Broadway, Va., to William H. and Sara Catherine (Boswell) Mathias. Her husband, Leo Biller, preceded her in death June 15, 1981.
Surviving are five daughters, Helen Biller, Mary Lee Dean, Berniece Hensley and Beverly Stayner, all of Harrisonburg and Patricia Turner of Fulks Run, Va.; two sons, Leo B. Biller Jr. of Harrisonburg and William F. Biller of Timberville, Va.; 12 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Theodore M. Billerand a grandson, Charles Douglas Dean.
Mrs. Biller retired from Rockingham Memorial Hospital, at the age of 70.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of the Lindsey, Harrisonburg Funeral Home, with Dr. J.D. Glick and the Rev. C. Reynolds Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Eugene D. Cooley
Former Tiffin City Schools custodian
Eugene D. Cooley, 73, of 21 Klahr St., Bloomville, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 20, 2000, in the Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville, after an illness of several months.
He was born Dec. 28, 1926, in Bloomville, to Alvin R. and Leila (Aunspach) Cooley Sr. On Nov. 1, 1958, in Bloomville, he married
Jane Karcher, who survives.
Survivors also include: a daughter, Lisa Wise of Bloomville; a granddaughter; a brother, Alvin Ray Cooley Jr. of Bend, Ore.; and a sister, Mrs. H.P. (Carolyn) Wolfe of Mentor.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Cooley.
Mr. Cooley worked for Tiffin Dairy as a milkman for 21 years and retired in 1989 from the Tiffin City Schools, where he was employed as a custodian for more than 18 years.
A member of Bloomville United Church of Christ, he was a former charter member of the Bloomville Lions Club; Eden Lodge 310 Free and Accepted Masons of Bloomville, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, Seneca County Scottish Rite Association, Zenobia Shrine, Tiffin Shrine Club, Tiffin Hornets, Tiffin Moose and the Clyde Eagles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 SR 19, Bloomville, with the Rev. Diane Grohmann officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Bloomville.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Tiffin Hornets visitation will be at 8:30 p.m. and Masonic services at 8:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Shrine Burn Unit or the Tiffin Hornets.
Hazel M. Garland
Homemaker
Hazel M. Garland, 99, of Tiffin, died at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 at St. Francis Home. She was born May 15, 1901 to Harry and Allie (Gittinger) Taylor. On Dec. 10, 1922 she married
Gilbert N. Garland in Tiffin, he passed away Oct. 29, 1983.
Surviving include: a son, Carl E. Garland of Defiance; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Brill of Tiffin and Mrs. Edna Walters of Bellevue; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: a brother, Robert A. Taylor; and a grandchild.
Mrs. Garland was a Class of 1920 graduate of Columbian High School, a homemaker and a active member in St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Tiffin.
The Rev. Larry Smith will officiate the 2 p.m. Saturday funeral service at the Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge cemetery in Tiffin.
Visitation hours are from 1 p.m. Saturday until the funeral service.

Krista Lynnette McClish
Seneca High School Senior
Krista Lynnette McClish, 17, of Attica, died early Monday evening, Nov. 20, 2000 from an auto accident in Seneca County. She was born Dec. 23, 1982 in Tiffin.
Surviving include: her mother, Ramona (Swander) McClish of Attica; her father, John McClish and his wife Judith of Findlay; and a sister, Christina McClish of Attica.
Ms. McClish was a senior at Seneca East High School where she was in choir, a library aide and a teacher's aide. She had recently received a superior rating in the 5 county area Solo and Ensemble Contest where she sang a solo. She also participated in the Bible Quiz Group and won the Seneca/Crawford County Spelling Bee Contest.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Home, 1295 W. Tiffin St., Attica, with The Pastor Wendell Shepherd of the Tiffin Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Township cemetery, Attica.
Visitation hours are from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.

Eugene S. Barth
Lifelong Upper Sandusky resident
Eugene S. Barth, 76, of 128 W. Bigelow St., Upper Sandusky, died at 1:37 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1924 to Theodore L. and Bessie G. (Furrow) Barth. On Aug. 29, 1953 he married
Eileen Bennett, and she survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael E. and Ted Barth, both of Upper Sandusky; a brother, Bernard W. Barth of Nevada; two sisters, Betty J. Baldwin and Mrs. Margie Donaugh, both of Upper Sandusky; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: a brother, Gale Barth.
Mr. Barth had worked at Mid West Tool for 22 years as a machinist and retired in 1987. He also had worked for the former Daybrook Hydrolics in Upper Sandusky. A U.S. Army Veteran serving in WW II and former member of VFW and the American Legion, both of Upper Sandusky. He enjoyed the outdoors, and made and sold crafts.
The Rev. John Hoover will officiate the 2 p.m. Saturday funeral service at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Burial will be at Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Visitation hours are from 5-8 p.m., tonight, at the funeral home.

Wilhelmina (Billie) Shambaugh, 71, of 5507 Brookview Lane, Upper Sandusky, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born Aug. 21, 1929 to William F. and Socorro G. (Seva Bayot) Krone. On Feb. 11, 1948 she married
Robert E. Shambaugh, he died Sept. 7, 1996.
Surviving include: a daughter, Mrs. Darlene Thomas of Upper Sandusky; a brother, Frederick Krone of Chula Vista, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Miller of Bonita, Calif., and Mrs. Frances Lee of Chula Vista, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: two sisters, Ann Dee and Tillie Beidelschies.
Mrs. Shambaugh and her husband were owners of the former Bonton Restaurant in Upper Sandusky. She had also worked for the former Westinghouse Plant for 19 years. She enjoyed sharing hobbies with her husband and grandchildren.
The Rev. Julieanne Smith will officiate the 11 a.m. Saturday funeral service at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery.

Hugh C. Riley
H. C. Riley Company owner
Hugh C. Riley, 82, of 45 Glenn St., Tiffin, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2000 in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin, after an illness of one week. He was born Aug. 19, 1918 to Francis X. and Blanche (Wilsey) Riley. On July 9, 1948, he married
Audray Hamilton in Attica, and she survives.
Also surviving include: two daughters, Kathy Riley of Proctor, Vermont and Mrs. Patricia Rinker of Tiffin; a sister, Mrs. Suzanne Kagy of Bloomville; four grandchildren; and two great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by: a grandson; and a brother, Frank Riley.
Mr. Riley had worked as a sales representative for the Erie Streyer Company and the Oshkosh Motor Trucking till 1966. He also owned and operated the H. C. Riley Company as a truck broker, retiring in 1990. Mr. Riley attended school in Bloomville and attended Otterbein College for three years.
Mr. Riley was a WW II Marine Corp Veteran, serving in the Soloman Islands, Okinoiwa, and the Philippines. He served as an Honor Guard for President Roosevelt when he was in California.
A life member and past commander of Caufield American Legion Post 434 of Bloomville, a past district commander for the American Legion, a former president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce from 1951 to 1953, a former director of the Civilian Defense of Tiffin, a past board member of Mohawk Country Club, a former board member of the Chamber of Commerce in Tiffin, and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 94 in Tiffin.
The Rev. William Smith of the Trinity United Church of Christ will officiate the 11 a.m. Saturday funeral services at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. Burial and military graveside services will be conducted at the Woodlawn cemetery in Bloomville.
Visitation hours are from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7-9 p.m., tonight, at the funeral home.

Jean C. Dorsey

Jean C. Dorsey, 74, of Eastern Ave., Fostoria, died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000 at Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 30, 1926 to Thurman and Chloe (Cattlet) Moore. On June 4, 1946 she married
Ralph Dorsey, and he survives.
Also surviving include: a son, Clyde L. Dorsey of Fostoria; a daughter, Jean C. Dorsey of Fostoria; two sisters, Virginia "Furn" Shirley of Springfield, Oh., and Catherine M. Stottler of Winchester, VA.; four grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Dorsey was a 1944 graduate of Gainsboro High School, she retired as an inspector from Atlas Crankshaft after 15 years, a member of the Eagles, VFW, AmVets, American Legion, DAV, and Moose, all of Fostoria.
The Rev. Branson Hawkes will officiate the 1 p.m. Monday, funeral service at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be at the Fountain cemetery.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Eagles Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Zenith M. Smith, 96, formerly of Bettsville, died on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's in Westerville, Ohio.

David O. "Gamy" Gamertsfelder

David O. "Gamy" Gamertsfelder, 53, of Twp. Rd. 34, Fostoria, died at 7:25 a.m. at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born April 18, 1947 in Fremont to Owen and Willah (Mitchell) Gamertsfelder. He first married
Cynthia Andecover, they divorced, he then married
Shirley Shane of 25 years, and she survives.
Also surviving include: his mother and stepfather, Willah and Don Yambert of Burgoon; a son, Cory Gamertsfelder of Fremont; a daughter, Mrs. Jolene Biggins of Fremont; a step-son, Randy Shane of Ruskin, Fla.; three brothers, Dennis of Fremont, Don of Bettsville and Jon of Hudson; a sister, Sally Kato of Oak Harbor; a step-brother, Chuck Yambert of Bowling Green; two step-sisters, Denise Perkey of Wayne and Jody Yambert of Toledo; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Owen.
Mr. Gamertsfelder was a 1965 graduate of Lakota High School. He worked as a sales representative for Cash Depot in Greenbay, Wis., serving the Ohio area. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Fremont; Fostoria Elk's Lodge; Clyde Eagles; Fremont VFW; Port Clinton Moose; Pleasant Grove Grange in Bascom and an avid golfer.
The Rev. Martha Gross will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Saturday funeral services at Burgoon United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Sand Ridge cemetery, Bascom.
