Rev. Wilbert Morman
Brother of Tiffin resident

The Rev. Wilbert "Willie" Morman, S.V.D., of Techny, Ill., died in the Glennbrook Hospital, after suffering a heart attack and complications at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000. He was born April 19, 1919, to Joseph and Gertrude Morman. Both are deceased.

Surviving are: two brothers, Vincent of Mansfield and Joseph of Marion; three sisters, Sisters. Damien, Jovita and Gertrude OSF, Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by: three brothers, Adolph Morman, the Rev. Edmund Morman, SVD, and the Rev. Richard Morman; and two sisters, Mae Recker and Sister Anita.

The Rev. Morman attended St. Nicholas grade school for eight years. He went to high school at Techny, Ill., and for his novitiate and theology classes also. In 1938, he graduated from their Sacred Heart Mission House College. On Aug. 15, 1946, he was ordained by the Very Rev. William O'Brien and missioned to New Guinea. He left the U.S. Nov. 28, 1947. He arrived in New Guinea in the latter part of January 1948. He spent 46 years there and retired to the residence at Techny because of heart problems. He had celebrated his Golden Jubilee of ordination with a Mass and reception at St. Nicholas on Aug. 4, 1996.

A wake service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Divine Word Residence Building in Techny, Ill. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, Techny.

Bill N. Blackburn
Upper Sandusky resident

Bill N. Blackburn, 71, of 531 N. 8th St., Upper Sandusky, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home.

He was born April 20, 1929 to Alfred N. and Dora J. (Margraf) Blackburn. On May 23, 1947 he married Norma Traxler. She preceded him in death. On June 4, 1966, he married Viola V. Snyder. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Dennis Blackburn of Nevada and Jon L. Blackburn of Columbus; four daughters, Mrs. Patty Derugen of Woodward, Pa., Rosie May of Bucyrus, Mrs. Jo Walters of Upper Sandusky and Mrs. Anita Kear of Harpster; a sister, Mary Russell of Bucyrus; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were: a son, Daniel Blackburn; a daughter, Jan Blackburn; and a brother, Jerry Blackburn.

Mr. Blackburn retired as a mechanic from Lemke Sales & service in Marion after 24 years. Previously he worked at the former U.S. Implement Co. in Upper Sandusky. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Wyandot County Sportsmen's Club; Wyandot County Senior Citizens Club; volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels; and served at auxiliary deputy with the Wyandot County Sheriff's Department. He loved nature, fishing, hunting and enjoyed traveling and woodworking.

The Rev. James Holmer will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Monday funeral at St. Peter Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. Burial will be at St. Peter Catholic cemetery.

Visitation hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Bringman-Clark & Co. Funeral Home.

Biblical scripture service will be at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to Respiratory Department & Coronary Unit of Wyandot Memorial Hospital; Hospice of Wyandot County; St. Peter's Endowment Fund and/or the charity of the donor's choice.

Dorothy K. Lytle
Fostoria homemaker

Dorothy K. Lytle, 82 of Good Shepherd Home, formerly of North Vine Street, Fostoria, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at the Good Shepherd Home. She was born July 21, 1918, to Gerald and Lucille (Kauffman) Wallace. On May 25, 1935, she married Elmo L. Lytle. He died Jan. 20, 1969.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Lind of Wallbridge, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mrs. Lytle was a member of the St. Wendelin Catholic Church.

The Rev. Donald R. Goodwin will officiate the 11 a.m. service today at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Fountain cemetery.

Visitation hours are from two hours prior to the service today.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Natividad Uballe
Former Bascom resident

Natividad Uballe, 77 of the Good Shepherd Home, formerly of Bascom, died at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2000. He was born Dec. 29, 1922, to Tranquilino and Antonia (Alvarado) Uballe. He first married Juanita Anez. They were divorced. He married Aspina Gonzales in Tiffin,. She died in 1995.

Surviving are: three sons, Reynoldo Uballe of Fremont, Santiago Uballe of Missouri and David Uballe of Toledo; five daughters, Eloisa Slazar, Antonia Montoya and Herlinda Uballe all of Joliet, Ill., and Naomi Castenda and Gloria Sanchez, both of Harligen, Texas; a brother, Francisco Uballe of San Antonio; a sister, Cerino Uballe of San Antonio; 35 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Uballe.

Mr. Uballe had been employed as a farmer, near Bascom, for 46 years, retiring in 1995.

The Rev. Rose Anez will officiate the 10 a.m. Saturday funeral at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be at Fountain cemetery.

Visitation hours are 2-4 and 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Roy E. Detrich
Retired schoolteacher

Roy E. Detrich, 91, of 310 Kilbourne St., Republic, died late Thursday evening, Oct. 26, 2000, at Autumnwood Care Center, after being in failing health for the past year.

Mr. Detrich was born Nov. 23, 1908, in Bolivar, to Edward and Emma (Boroway) Detrich. On Sept. 10, 1932, in Massillon he married Alice Hostetler who died May 2, 1982.

Survivors include: a son, Dale of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Wolfe of Cutler; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were twin grandsons; a granddaughter; a brother, Walter; and a sister, Gail Studer.

He was a 1931 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He taught school in Bellsville, Lower Salem and Republic. He taught vocational agriculture, industrial arts and had been the principal at Republic, retiring from the Seneca East School District in 1972. He was a member of the Republic United Church of Christ, Republic Lions Club, Hildreth Lodge 165 Free and Accepted Masons in Republic; an avid bowler, cardplayer, horseshoe pitcher and gardener.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with the Rev. Jeffrey King officiating. Burial will be in the Farewell Retreat cemetery in Republic.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where Hildreth Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

James E. Burkett
Whirlpool employee

James E. Burkett, 53, of W. Crocker Street, Fostoria, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, in Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Aug. 9, 1947, in Findlay to Edward J. and Marguerite (Baumlein) Burkett. He first married Bonnie Thrasher Dec. 31, 1966, in Findlay and they were divorced. He then married Beverly Kraylek, April 10, 1980, and she died Nov. 10, 1990. He then married Delilah M. Lowery, Dec. 11, 1991, in Fostoria and they were divorced. On March 20, 1996, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., he married Marilyn M. Moore, and they were divorced.

Survivors include: stepfather, Nick J. Rarey of Findlay; two sons, Brian J. and Jack A. Burkett, both of Findlay; a step-son, Ryan Bacon of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Jason (Lisa) Lanning of McComb and Lori Burkett of Findlay; three grandchildren; two brothers, Larry A. Burkett of Fostoria and Mark Rarey of Findlay; and two sisters, Mrs. Greg (Janet) Tong of Vanlue and Mrs. Chuck (Nancy) Moore of Van Wert.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his second wife.

Mr. Burkett was a 1966 graduate of Findlay High School, a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam era and had been employed at Whirlpool Corporation in Findlay since 1984. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Club and Amvets, all in Fostoria; an avid bowler and was formerly the Fostoria City Association Bowling League secretary.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Dr. Charles R. Sandstrom officiating. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the James E. Burkett Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Jack Woessner
Retired painter

Jack Frederick Woessner, 72, of 6699 W. CR 6, New Riegel, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, in the St. Francis Health Care Center, Green Springs, following a two-month illness.

Mr. Woessner was born in Tiffin May 12, 1928, to Frederick and Mabel Woessner.

Survivors include: a son, Gary Woessner of Hiawatha, Kansas; three daughters, Starleen Goshe of Fostoria, Pam Carter of Tiffin and Brenda Adams of McComb; a step-son, Roger Shetzer of Fremont; a step-daughter, Tina Ritter of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Eva Fox of Bluffton, Ind., Thelma Cogar of Fremont and Bertha Feasel of Tiffin.

His wife, Beverly, a son, Shawn, and four siblings are deceased.

At Mr. Woessner's request, there will be no visitation and a memorial service will be at a later date.

Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Martha Lee Reber
Upper Sandusky resident

Martha "Marty" Lee Reber, 72, a native of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Columbus, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, in Fairhaven Health Care Community, Upper Sandusky.

She was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Upper Sandusky to Thomas A. and Wave M. (Schoenberger) Reber.

She is survived by a brother, Albert, of Columbus; a nephew, Thomas A. Reber; six nieces, Felicia Kim Reber, Valere Joy Perry, Jayne Ann Reber, Rebecca A. Romich, Nancy Johnson and Martha Louise Reber.

A brother, Thomas M., preceded her in death.

She attended Capital University and graduated from Tiffin Business School. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Columbus, where she played the organ; past matron of University Chapter of Order of Eastern Star; member of Ladies Oriental Shrine, Columbus; enjoyed her church, music, playing the piano and organ and traveling.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Kenneth Wessler officiating at the Oak Hill cemetery, Upper Sandusky.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research or Wyandot Health Foundation at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, in care of Bringman-Clark and Co. Funeral Home, 226 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.

The Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John J. Heckathorn
Retired farmer

John J. Heckathorn, 82, of 17882 CH 76, Forest, died at 5 a.m., Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at his residence.

Mr. Heckathorn was born April 27, 1918, in Marseilles Twp., Wyandot County, to H.D. and Floy I. (Barrett) Heckathorn. He married Helen Mae Nuas on March 4, 1939, in the Marseilles Presbyterian Church and she survives.

Also surviving are: his step-mother, Ruby E. Price Heckathorn of Forest; two sons, Dal of Forest and Arden of Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Mary) Rossel of Upper Sandusky; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeannetta Barrett of Kenton and Dortha Hamilton of Forest.

He was preceded him in death by: a son, Edwin E. who died in infancy; and three brothers, Warren B., Dwight Edwin and Richard A. Heckathorn.

He was a 1936 graduate of Marseilles High School; a retired livestock and grain farmer; a seed corn dealer; a member of the Marseilles Presbyterian Church where he was a Life Member and served as Trustee and Deacon, Wyandot County Farm Bureau, Wyandot County Dairy Service Unit, Wyandot County Health Board member, Hardin Co. AA Board member, a former member of the Marseilles Masonic Lodge; and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Rex Roth officiating. Burial will be in the Tymochtee cemetery, Marseilles Twp., Wyandot County.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Marseilles Presbyterian Church or Wyandot Memorial Hospital Health Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice, c/o Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home, P.O. Box 246, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.

Margaret A. Hines-Liston
Clyde resident

Graveside services for Margaret A. Hines-Liston, 52, of 8500 N. CR 21, Clyde, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's cemetery. She died at 5 a.m. Oct. 23 at her residence.

Memorials may be made to the America Diabetes Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Beryl Schuster
Retired homemaker

Beryl Schuster, 86, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, in the Elmwood Nursing Home, Elmwood Centers, Green Springs, where she had resided since 1998.

She was born Nov. 17, 1913, in Green Springs, to Alberti "Bert" and Sarah Olive (Klinepeter) McCracken. Her husband, Ralph Schuster, is deceased.

Survivors include: a stepson, Bruce Schuster of Green Springs; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Ione (Sherman) Cleveland of Green Springs.

A sister, Mrs. Wilbert (Marian) Briney, is deceased.

Mrs. Schuster, a homemaker, was a graduate of Green Springs High School.

A resident of Green Springs most of her life, having also lived in Fort Pierce, Fla., a number of years, she was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs, with the Rev. James Scott officiating. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Judi Eberly
American Body Building co-owner

Judi Eberly, 43, of Norbert Avenue, Fremont, formerly of Clyde, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, in Firelands Community Hospital, Sandusky.

She was born May 6, 1957, in Bowling Green, to Donald and Barbara Rose (Buchanan) Loucks. Her father survives in Fremont and her mother in North Baltimore. Her husband, Michael Eberly, whom she married Feb. 14, 1984, survives in Fremont.

Other survivors include: six children, Jared, Matthew, Tony and Alisa Eberly, all of Fremont, Angela Heimert of Helena and Mrs. Troy (Ann) Keegan of Clyde; five grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Loucks of Fremont; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Debra) Reed of North Baltimore; and her maternal grandmother, Keitha Rose, also of North Baltimore.

Mrs. Eberly, a graduate of Clyde High School, was the co-owner with her husband, of American Body Building Inc.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness.
