Mark Alan Cullison
Mechanic/former Fostoria resident

Former Fostoria resident, Mark Alan Cullison, 41, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in Tampa, Fla., where he resided.

He was born in Fostoria, Oct. 10, 1958, to Thomas V. and Patty S. (Dickerson) Cullison. His father survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are four sons, Mark R. Cullison of Toledo, Matthew A. Cullison of Fostoria, Joseph A. Stahl of Risingsun and Alan M. Moore of Waynesfield; his grandmothers, Iva Mae Gee-Smith of Palmetto, Fla. and Emma J. Cullison-Griffin of Fostoria; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Debbie) Dodge and Cynthia S. Pingle, both of Fostoria; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandfathers, Ralph "Red" Gee and Thomas S. Cullison..

Mr. Cullison, a 1976 Lakota High School graduate, was employed as a mechanic in Tampa.

The Rev. Donald R. Goodwin will conduct the 11 a.m. Saturday service in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.

Dorothy Mae Kittle
Former Old Fort homemaker

Dorothy Mae Kittle, 90, formerly of Old Fort, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, in the Bellevue Hospital, where she had been a patient for four days.

She was born July 14, 1910, in rural Seneca County, to Edward and Alice (Baumann) Fought. On March 2, 1933, in Green Springs United Methodist Church, she married James Clark Kittle. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1993.

Survivors include: a son, J. William Kittle of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Marjorie) Berlekamp of Green Springs and Mrs. Ralph (Jeanne) Joseph of Old Fort; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Willard Fought of Clyde; two sisters, Marian Abbott of Fremont and Mildred Schwan of Clyde.

Also preceding her in death was a brother, Howard Fought.

Mrs. Kittle, a homemaker, lived most of her life in Seneca County.

A 1928 graduate of Green Springs High School, she was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women and Icedore Chapter 299 Order Eastern Star, where she served as past matron in 1956 and DGM in 1969.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Green Springs United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Scott officiating. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Friday in the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs. The Green Springs Icedore Chapter 299 Order Eastern Star will hold services at 7 p.m., tonight, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church, Eastern Star or a charity of the donor's choice.

Donald A. Schubach
Lifelong Green Springs resident

Donald A. Schubach, 80, of 401 W. Adams St., Green Springs, died at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 at Cleveland Clinic. He was born Feb. 20, 1920 to George N. and Lottie A. (Weiker) Schubach. On Dec. 24, 1944 he married Naomi Elizabeth Pontius at Green Springs Methodist Church, she survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Janett Sue Calland of Oak Harbor, Mrs. Beverly Jean Barrick of Grove City; a twin brother, Ronald Schubach; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Alyce Schraeder.

Mr. Schubach was a graduate of Green Springs High School, class of 1938. He worked as a farmer; for Young Funeral Home in Green Springs; Green Springs Co-Op; and Federal Chemical Company. His memberships included: Green Springs United Methodist Church, active in all church related activities, including 40 years in the choir and served on the Board of Trustees; Adams Township Trustee for 10 years; served on Green Springs Council 12 years; he was one of Ohio's first EMT's; Green Spring Lodge F&AM 427 50 years; Icedore Chapter 299 Order Eastern Star 50 years; Past Master Lodge 427 and Past Patron of Icedore Eastern Star; a 50 year member Clinton Council 47; and a 50 year member Tiffin DeMolay Commandery 9; also a 50 year member Seneca Chapter 42; and a 50 year member Royal Arch Masons; he belonged to the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo; Seneca County Scottish Rite Association. He was also an enthusiast of antique steam engines and John Deere tractors.

The Rev. James A. Scott will officiate the 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000 funeral service at the Green Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be at St. Jacob cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., tonight, at the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs. Eastern Star 299 will hold services at 7:30 p.m., tonight, followed by Masonic services.

Memorials may be made to Green Springs United Methodist Church and/or Building Fund of Green Springs Masonic Temple.

Jodi Wyant
Tiffin resident

Jodi Wyant, 38, of 46 1/2 Miami St., Tiffin died at her residence on Monday, Sept. 18, 2000. She was born May 6, 1962 to Stephen Wyant who survives in Clyde and Ruth Ann (Kenan) Wyant who died in 1974.

Also surviving include: her step-mother, Mary Beth Fiser of Clyde; a brother, Charles Wyant of New hampshire; two step-brothers, Matthew Wyant of Bellevue, and Mark Wyant of Clyde; a sister, Stephanie Monrean of Clyde; a step-sister, Brandi Wyant of Clyde; and six nieces and nephews.

Ms. Wyant is a class 1980 graduate of Swanton High School. She enjoyed painting and drawing.

The Rev. William Ownes will officiate the 1 p.m. Saturday funeral service at Foos-Klein Funeral Home in Clyde. The private burial will be at Smith cemetery, Burgoon at a later date.

Visitation hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home

Memorials may be made to Firelands Community Mental Health Center.

Janet Mieras
Former Tiffin resident

Janet Mieras, 69, of Grand Haven, Mich., formerly of Tiffin, died on Friday September 15, 2000, following a battle with cancer. She was born May 29, 1931 in Tiffin to Joseph E. and Dorothy (Feurer) Blaney. On Oct. 23, 1953 she married Raymond G. Mieras, he survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Kimberly Zevalink of Grand Haven, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Polak of Grand Haven, and Mrs. Peg Budres of Greenville, Mich.; two brothers, Tom Blaney of Jupiter, Fla., and James Blaney of Jackson, Mich.; two grandchildren; and several nieces .

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lynn.

Mrs. Mieras attended the University of Michigan's Banking School. She worked for People's Bank & Trust and NBD Bank for a total of 30 years. A member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church; also she was a Board Member for the United Way for many years. She was a member of the City of Grand Haven cemetery Board; she was a great advocate for the beautification of the cemetery. Mrs. Mieras was a former member of Highland Park Association, and had a passion for gardening.

A Funeral Mass was held Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Haven, Mich. Burial took place at Lake Forest cemetery, Grand Haven. The VanZantwick-Bartels-Kammeraad Funeral Home of Grand Haven, Michigan handled the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Grand Haven Area Community Foundation and/or the Salvation Army of Grand Haven.

Glenn Reinbolt
Tiffin resident's stepfather

Glenn Reinbolt, 38, of Perrysburg passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Flower Hospital.

Mr. Reinbolt was born March 29, 1962, to Charles and Jeanine (Colwell) Reinbolt in Toledo. He married Elizabeth (Keller) Poe Feb. 15, 1997, in Toledo who survives.

Other survivors include: his parents of Luna Pier, Mich.; a son Christopher Reinbolt of Luna Pier, Mich.; a daughter, Jennifer Reinbolt of Luna Pier, Mich.; four stepdaughters, Alicia (Ryan) Smith of Tiffin, Sarah (Rodney) Poe-Johnson of Fremont, Veronica Logsdon and Clarissa Logsdon of Atlanta Ga.; six step-granddaughters; a brother, Charles Reinbolt III of Erie, Mich.; and two sisters, Melissa Bellestri of LaSalle, Mich., and Denise Clements of Oklahoma.

Preceding him in death was a brother James Reinbolt.

Mr. Reinbolt was a sling specialist for Toledo Tarp Service.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Jerome Catholic Church, Walbridge, with the Father William Parker officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Tiffin.

Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Sunday with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. in the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey.

Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Twp. Fire Dept., or Trust Fund for Jennifer and Christopher Reinbolt.

Betty Lou Moore Burks
Former Burgoon resident

Word has been received of the death of Betty Lou Moore Burks of Livington, Tenn., and formerly of Burgoon, Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, in Cookeville, Tenn. of respiratory failure.

She was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Welch, W.Va. to Guy and Rosie Edith (Harris) Moore. She married Ralph Hughs Burks on Aug. 23, 1960, in Greenville, S.C. She moved to Burgoon in November of 1966.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Charlotte) Folk of Cookeville, Tenn., Mrs. Rosie Stien of Livington, Tenn. and Mrs. Susan Goodwin of Clyde; and 11 grandchildren..

She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; two sons, an infant, Guy Vern Burks and Ralph Lynn Burks; an infant daughter, Belinda Windy Burks; a brother, Dicky Ray Moore; and a sister, Mary Rose Moore.

Mrs. Burks was a housewife and worked as a C.N.A. in nursing homes in the Fremont area and did day care work.

Burial was at Oakwood cemetery in Fremont Sept. 11.

Guy W. Stansbery
Area residents' father

Guy W. Stansbery, 82, of Wyandot County Home and formerly of CR 96, Upper Sandusky, died at 11:05 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, in the Wyandot County Home.

Mr. Stansbery was born April 7, 1918, in Mifflin Twp., Wyandot County, to Joseph A. and Blanche (Zellers) Stansbery. He married M. Lucille Pryor on May 28, 1938, in Upper Sandusky, and she died May 4, 1987.

Survivors include: six sons, Sammy of Lima, Roger of Crosby, Texas, Tim of Upper Sandusky, Norman of Fostoria, Paul of Marseilles and Gary of Portage; five daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Peggy) Raymond and Mrs. Ed (Alice) McCarthy both of Upper Sandusky, Vildren "Rose" Feltis of Bonita Springs, Fla., Mrs. Gary (Diane) Gregory of Tiffin and Mrs. Rick (Paulette) Mowery of Fostoria; 31 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were: a son, Phil; a daughter, Vickie; a brother, Ralph; and six sisters, Ivy, Goldie, Mabel, Buelah, Mae and Maleta.

He was a Sea-Bee in the U.S. Navy having served in World War II; a farmer; worked for Marion Power Shovel for 18 years; then he worked for Eaton in Marion for 25 years, retiring in 1980; enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing, playing euchre and enjoyed walking through Kildeer and watching the wildlife.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lucas Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Timothy Compton officiating. Burial will be in Stansbery cemetery of Mifflin Twp. where military graveside rites will be conducted by various veterans organizations

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and/or to the Wyandot County Home..

Sarah Walkoviak
Former rural Fremont homemaker

Sarah Walkoviak, 74, formerly of South SR 19, Fremont, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, in St. Francis Health Care Centre, Green Springs.

She was born July 18, 1926, to the late Elias Coon and Mattie (Cover) Morgan.

Surviving are two sons, John Walkoviak of Fremont and Dan Walkoviak of Seattle, Wash.; a daughter, Kathleen Conn of Green Springs; three grandchildren; and a sister, Nellie Millinger of Oregon, Ohio.

Mrs. Walkoviak was a homemaker.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, Clyde, with the Rev. Richard Studebaker officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Barbara N. Somers
Rural Tiffin homemaker

Barbara N. Somers, 64, 4187 E. CR 50, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, in St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Tiffin, to the late John Paul and Marjorie (Kuhn) Lutz. On Feb. 11, 1956, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married James A. Somers, who survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Steven, Michael and Kevin Somers, all of Tiffin; four daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Cynthia) Baugher of Tiffin, Mrs. Larry (Diane) August of Findlay, Mrs. Tony (Susan) Distel, also of Tiffin and Mrs. Jeff (Julie) Webel of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Kathleen) Fabrizio of Tiffin and Mrs. TE (Marlene) Timmerman of Pflugerville, Texas; a brother, John R. Lutz of Tiffin; and 18 grandchildren.

A brother, Stephen Lutz, also is deceased.

Mrs. Somers, a homemaker, was a 1953 graduate of Calvert High School.

An avid football fan of Notre Dame University and Calvert High School, she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Calvert Touchdown Club.

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Keith Stripe, the Rev. Michael Dandurand and Msgr. Edward Dunn as con-celebrants. The rosary will be recited at the church at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Calvert High School Tuition Assistance Fund or the church.

Jewel A. 'Jackie' Madson
Former Fostoria resident

Jewel A. "Jackie" Madson, 73, died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at her home at 6319 Tahitian Drive, Bradenton, Fla.

She was born March 7, 1927, in Fostoria, to Harold W. and Alta M. (Lanier) Copsey. Her husband, E. William "Bill" Madson Jr., whom she married April 20, 1946, in the Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria, preceded her in death April 24, 1987.

Surviving are four daughters, Penny L. Tsantles of Bradenton, Cynthia L. Kendall of Morgantown, W.Va., Laura M. Landrum of Los Angeles, Calif. and Cheri J. Ivarsson of Sarasota, Fla.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Formerly of Fostoria, Mrs. Madson was a 1945 graduate of Fostoria High School. She was a former member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria.

The Rev. Carl Kessler will be the officiant at the 2:30 p.m. Friday service in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Knollcrest Gardens, near Arcadia.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Dorothy M. Phillips
Retired Kroger employee

Dorothy M. Phillips, 71, of 100 Vine St., died at 12:50 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, in her home.

Mrs. Phillips was born March 1, 1929, in Tiffin to Raymond and Catherine (Ferstler) Kastner. She married James C. Phillips June 25, 1949, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, and he survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Raymond J. of Tiffin and Jeffrey L. of Clyde; three daughters, Mrs. Gerard (Kathleen A.) Coleman of Fostoria, Mrs. Steven (Diane M.) England of Republic and Jane C. Shock of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Dell of Sherman, Texas, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Steyer of Fostoria and Mrs. Bernard (Martha) Hohman of Tiffin.

Preceding her in death were two daughters, Nancy Jean and Rebecca Lynn; and a sister, Ruth Ann Kastner.

She was class valedictorian of the 1947 Calvert High School; cashier at Kroger for 27 years; Boy Scout den mother; Girl Scout assistant; and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Keith Stripe officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral home where a Christian Wake Service will be at 8:45 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care; St. Mary's Church; Cancer Society; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
