Darin Nimocks
Bloomville resident
Darin Nimocks, 33, of 17 West St., Bloomville, died at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 29, 1966, to Betty J. (Zeigler) Nimocks, who survives in Bloomville, and the late Edgar F. Nimocks. On March 14, 1998, he married
Shawna Bolyard in Oak Harbor. She survives in Bloomville.
Also surviving are a son, Josh Nimocks, at home; four daughters, Kara, Amanda, Ashley and Mickey Sue, all of home; a sister, Mrs. Mickey Berrier of Bloomville; and four brothers, Richard Nimocks of Tiffin, George R. Nimocks of McCutchenville, Edgar F. Nimocks of Tiffin, and Jeffrey J. Nimocks of Bloomville. Mr. Nimocks was a self-employed automotive mechanic and member of the Eagles Aerie 402 in Tiffin.
The Rev. William Watson Combs will officiate the 10:30 a.m., Saturday service at the Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation hours will be one hour prior to the funeral.

Kathy Marie Hess
Mohawk Jr. High student
Kathy Marie Hess, 13, of 4084 S. SR 231, Tiffin, died at 2:28 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at St. Vincent-Mercy Hospital, Toledo. She was born Jan. 31, 1987, in Tiffin to Bradley J. and Rose M. (Fox) Hess, who survive.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Brian and Andy Hess, both at home; paternal grandmother, Gertrude Hess of Tiffin. maternal grandmother, Susan Fox of Carey; and several aunts and uncles.
Preceding her in death were: maternal grandfather, Joseph Fox; and paternal grandfather, Dewayne Hess.
Kathy was to be in the eighth grader at Mohawk Junior High School this year. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. She was on the Student Council and a member of the Honor Society.
The Rev. James Say will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Saturday service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
Visitation hours are 5-9 tonight at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, Tiffin. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the funeral Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Athletic Boosters; St. Joseph Catholic Church; and/or The National Federation for the Blind.
Dr. Walter Schroeder
Retired Tiffin doctor
Dr. Gerhard Walter Franz Schroeder died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000.
He was born April 8, 1924, in Belgard, Pomerania (Germany) to Elfriede and Ernst Schroeder.
Survivors include: his wife, Willa; children, Barbara and Thomas; four grandchildren; a brother, Hans; and a sister, Eva. A grandchild preceded him in death.
Dr. Schroeder was a flight surgeon in the German Luftwaffe during World War II. After university and medical school, he passed his German Medical State Boards in 1947 and emigrated to the United States in 1952. With the arrival of his soon-to-be wife, he later moved on to passing the American State Board in 1959. Having joined the Mercy Hospital staff in Tiffin in 1962, he began private practice until retiring in 1991. Over the years, Dr. Schroeder delivered more than 11,000 babies, was well loved by his staff, patients and family. Both the doctor and his wife had recently moved to Grove City for family assistance in his six-year battle against prostate cancer.
Private arrangements having been made for burial. A small gathering of family and friends will take place Sept. 9 in Tiffin.
Violet M. Sheibley
Fostoria homemaker
Violet M. Sheibley, 92, of Kennedy Lane, Fostoria, died at 9:44 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at Toledo Hospital.
Mrs. Sheibley was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Fostoria to Frederick and Alice (Miller) Stoudinger. She married
Gerald A. Sheibley June 30, 1934, in Fostoria and he died Jan. 17, 1991.
Survivors include: a son, Dean Sheibley of Sandusky; two daughters, Carol A. Sheibley of Gowanda, N.Y., and Jeannine E. Sheibley of Fostoria; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, William Stoudinger, and a sister, Winifred Adler.
She was a 1926 graduate of Fostoria High School, a homemaker, a member of the St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, past president and Board of Trustee of the Fostoria Woman's Club, past member of the Daughters of Isabella and Circle of Mercy, Catawba Orchard Beach Association. She was an avid bridge player, being a member of several clubs, and loved animals.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Ricker officiating. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Guardian Angel Fund, c/o St. Joseph Elementary School, East Main Street, Gowanda, N.Y. 14070 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Thelma Taylor
Bellevue resident
Thelma Taylor, 86, formerly of 201 Greenwood Heights, Bellevue, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, in Bellevue Care Center.
She was born June 28, 1914, in Miami County, Ind., to David and Daisy (Krieg) Loe and married
Walter L. Taylor in 1945. He died in 1996.
She is survived by a sister, Bernice Flora of Peru, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend, Betty Davidson of Bellevue. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Bellevue.
Private family graveside services will be conducted Aug. 25 at Gilead cemetery, Gilead, Ind.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church, Bellevue.

Cory James Hill
Carlisle School student
Cory James Hill, 9, of 907 Elm St., Bucyrus, died at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, from injuries he sustained in a bicycle-truck accident on SR 30 near SR 602, Bucyrus.
Cory was born Sept. 20, 1990, in Tiffin to Robert and Rainy (Gibson) Hill of Bucyrus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Travis and Jordan; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Jean Gibson of Nevada; paternal grandparents, Walter Hill Sr. and Ruby Hill of Bucyrus; and many aunts and uncles.
His maternal grandmother, Nancy Gibson, preceded him in death.
He was entering the fifth grade at Carlisle School where he was active in wrestling, baseball and swimming. He also enjoyed camping, music and riding.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus, with the James R. Nickelson officiating. Burial will be in Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Visiting hours at the funeral home are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
Edward Monarchi
Retired Exxon executive
Edward Samuel Monarchi, 65, of 2508 Hollyberry Lane, Palm City, Fla., died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Boston, Mass., due to surgery complications.
Mr. Monarchi was born Jan. 15, 1935, in Bellevue to Samuel and Teresa (Fidrucci) Monarchi and married
Carol Ann Ruemmele Dec. 26, 1958.
Survivors include: his wife; a son, Michael of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Annette) Smith of Grosse Pointe, Mich., and Mrs. Mike (Sarah) Longpre of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; a brother, Nello Monarchi of Mansfield; and two sisters, Edith Morfier of Bellevue and Rose Jane Rudicel of Altadena, Calif.
He was a retired executive for Exxon International.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Joseph Monarchi; and four sisters, Louise Pasquaun, Mary Spradlin, Lena Harpster and Virginia Sabo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, with the Rev. Robert Tuccheri officiating.
Calling hours are two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Anna Doyle
Calvert high school graduate
Word has been received of the death of Anna Doyle, 89, of Catonsville, Md., on Monday, July 31, 2000.
She was born in September 1910 to Fred and Cecilia Buchman. She married
J. Dillard Doyle in 1939. He is deceased.
Survivors include: three sons, the Rev. Paul Doyle of Notre Dame, Joe Doyle of Atlanta, Ga., John Doyle of Lynchburg, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Louise) Dingle and Sister Jean Doyle, R.N., both of Catonsville, Md.; numerous grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Alvin (Marguerita) Bryner of Tiffin.
Preceding her in death were a son Duncan who died in infancy; two brothers, Charles Buchman and Dr. Joseph Buchman; a half-brother John Buchman; a sister Mrs. John (Coletta) Marguardt; and a half-sister Mrs. Clarence (Marie) Welter.
Mrs. Doyle was a 1928 graduate of Calvert High School, attended one year at Heidelberg College and graduated from the John Hopkins School of Nursing.
She lived in Lynchburg, Va., where she was buried, until recently when she moved in with her daughter in Catonsville, Md.
Margie A. Yingling
Former Carey resident
Margie A. Yingling, 60, of Manchester, Mo. and formerly of Findlay and Carey, died at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, in St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo.
Mrs. Yingling was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Carey to Clarence and Elsie (Robinette) Tucker who are deceased. She married
Richard M.Yingling Aug. 24, 1957, in Grace United Methodist Church in Carey and he survives in Manchester, Mo.
Other survivors include: five sons, Doug of Anaheim Hills, Calif, Dean and John of Springfield, Mo., Mike of St. Charles, Mo., and Tony of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Dean (Charlotte) Billock of Presque Ilse, Mich., Mrs. Charles (Doris) Baldridge and Mrs. Dave (Carol) Abel, both of Arizona.
Also preceding her in death were: a granddaughter, Amanda; three brothers Theodore, Charles and Carl; and a sister Lucille Henry.
She was a long-time bookstore manager at Maryville University; of the Methodist faith; past president of the National Association of College Stores; and was active in the Boy Scouts and Little League sports programs.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace United Methodist Church, Carey, with the Rev. James Sharrett officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey; and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Betty Jean Meyer
Bellevue resident
Betty Jean Meyer, 77, of 259 N. West St., Bellevue, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at her residence.
She was born March 29, 1923, in Bellevue, to Allon and Gladys Gill. She married
Carl J. Meyer on April 26, 1941, and he died July 30, 1985.
Survivors include: a son Larry of Bellevue; three daughters Mrs. Thomas (Sharidon) Stringer of Waterford, Mich., Mrs. Williams (Janet) Joseph of Tiffin, and Deborah Meyer of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Gill of Martinez, Ga.; and a sister, Garnita Blank of Cape Coral, Fla.
Preceding her in death were three brothers and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Meyer was apex during World War II, worked at Allen Hotel, Seamon's Restaurant, GE and Firestone; owned and operated Meyer's Drive In on West Main, Bellevue; a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, life member and past president of Bellevue VFW Auxiliary, former Bellevue American Legion member; enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, reading, dancing and crafts.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, with the Rev. Henry Seibert officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Charles Thom
Retired mason/farmer
Charles Thom, 81, 2121 S. TR 119, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Scipio Township, to William and Clara (Nick) Thom. On Dec. 29, 1945, in St. Boniface Church, New Riegel, he married
Corrine Tiell, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, William C. and John A. Thom, both of Tiffin; two daughters, Mrs. John T. (Martha A.) Fiegelist of Tiffin and Joan M. Thom of Toledo; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Laird of Fremont; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Lewis Thom; and two sisters, Mary Thom and an infant, Rita Mae Thom.
Mr. Thom, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, was a retired farmer and masonary contractor.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and American Legion Post 354, New Riegel, where he served as past post commander.
A past member of the Home Builders Association, he also enjoyed walking.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Frank A. Murd as celebrant. The rosary will be recited at the church at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Boniface cemetery, New Riegel, where military graveside services will be conducted aT the graveside by the New Riegel American Legion..
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, where American Legion services will be at 7 p.m. and a wake service at 8:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the church, Community Hospice Care or a charity of the donor's choice.
Carl L. Reynolds
22-year teacher
Carl L. Reynolds, 87, of Elyria, formerly of Attica, Republic and Fostoria, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, in the Life Care Center of Elyria.
He was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Bowling Green, to Frank and Mary Ann (Ernsberger) Reynolds. In February 1943, he married
Betsy Ann Mohr, who preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1975.
Survivors include: two sons, Donald Lee Reynolds of Napoleon and Douglas Franklin Reynolds of Cortland; a daughter, Lillian Mitchell of Lorain; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Neva Burns of Mansfield.
Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Carrie and Dorothy; and a brother, Lloyd.
Mr. Reynolds, a 1934 graduate of what is now Bowling Green State University, was employed as a teacher for 22 years; 16 years at Lakota Middle School and as principal of Rollersville School for four years.
He was a member of the Ohio Education Association.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, Attica. Burial will be in Attica-Venice cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
