Carol J. Longo
Former Tiffin Center employee
Carol J. Longo, 49, died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2000, at her home at 128 Main St.
She was born Dec. 30, 1950, in Tiffin, to Francesco and Philomena (Colatruglio) Longo. Her mother survives in Tiffin. In 1969, she married
Roger Caudill, and they were later divorced.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nicole Lynette Caudill of Columbus; a son, Roger Dean Caudill II of Tiffin; five sisters, Sister Marianne RSM of Fremont, Mrs. Greg (Joanna) Elchert of Warrington, Pa., Mrs. Bob (Connie) Archer, Mrs. Joe (Rosie) Mangus and Mrs. Ed (Rita) Schwab, all of Tiffin; two brothers, Leonard Longo of Tiffin and Francesco Longo of Coconut Creek, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Her father is deceased.
Mrs. Longo, a 1969 graduate of Calvert High School, attended Terra Community College. She was employed at Tiffin Developmental Center for 18 years, as a therapeutic worker.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society and enjoyed music, writing, collecting rock and roll memorabilia, crafting, cooking, reading, gardening and playing self-proclaimed psychologist to friends and family.
She also served frequently as a volunteer at Our Lady of the Pines Center in Fremont and as a Hospice volunteer.
The Rev. Frank A. Murd, the Rev. William Rose and the Rev. Thomas Ankenbrandt will be the con-celebrants at the 10 a.m. Thursday funeral Mass in St. Mary Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited at the church at 9:45 a.m.Thursday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, where a Christian wake service will be at 8:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care or her children.
Michael W. Decker
National Electrical Carbon retiree
Michael W. Decker, 50, of Mervin Street, Risingsun, died at his home at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2000.
He was born in Fostoria, Jan. 12, 1950, to William J. and Thelma (Keely) Decker. His mother, now Thelma Kline, survives in Risingsun. He first married
Shari L. Swaisgood, on Sept. 12, 1970, in Fostoria and they were later divorced. On July 19, 1986, in Fostoria, he married
Beth Ann Harrold, who also survives in Risingsun.
Other survivors include: a son, Jeremy Decker of Risingsun; a daughter, Sarah Decker of Fostoria; a step-son, Jeremy Enright of Fostoria; a step-daughter, Angela Gee of Panama City Beach, Fla.; and two brothers, Donald D. Decker of Bradner and Danny D. Decker of Risingsun.
His father is deceased.
Mr. Decker, a 1969 graduate of Lakota High School, retired in 1999, after more than 25 years of service as a crane operator at the National Electrical Carbon in Fostoria.
A former volunteer fireman, he attended Scott Trinity United Methodist Church, both of Risingsun.
He also enjoyed Sprint Car racing and golfing.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Scott-Trinity cemetery, near Risingsun.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wood County.
Lonnie Alan Dick
Roofer/painter/handyworker
Lonnie Alan Dick, 31, 39 Minerva St., died at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 28, 2000, in the Emergency Care Center of Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
He was born in Tiffin, April 4, 1969, to Junior and Janet (Kin) Dick, who both survive in Tiffin.
Survivors also include: a step-son, Jordan Adams of Findlay; a step-daughter, Christine Adams, also of Findlay; four sisters, Mrs. Vernon (Catherine) Hites and Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Hiser II, both of Tiffin, Carol Dick of Glendale, Ariz and Wendy Dick of Galion; two brothers, David Dick of Lima and Gerald Dick of Tiffin; 11 nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and nephews.
A nephew is deceased.
A roofer, painter and general handyworker, Mr. Dick attended Columbian High School and earned his G.E.D. He attended the University of Findlay.
His great-aunt, Sister Mary Alice Mathias, will be the officiant at the 2 p.m. Wednesday service in the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Family viewing at the funeral home will be private .

Jerry R. Zeitz
Zeitz Auto Parts owner/operator
Jerry R. Zeitz, 65, of St. Paul Drive, Fremont, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his residence.
He was born in Fremont, Sept. 28, 1934, to the late Rolland Zeitz and Katherine Donahue. His wife, Marilyn (Harkey) Zeitz, whom he married
March 3, 1954, in Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont, died Jan. 29, 1999.
Survivors include: a daughter, Pam Fritz of Tiffin; a son, Jeff Zeitz of Fremont; two sisters, Barb Master of Florida and Marian Weise of Green Springs; and a granddaughter.
A brother, Lee Zeitz; and a sister, Betty Ball, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Zeitz, the owner and operator of Zeitz Auto Parts for 30 years, also was the founder of Z's Diner and Beer Port and Z's Car Lot. He also remodeled old homes.
A radio operator in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Elks 169, where he served as past exalted ruler in 1963, the Moose, Eagles, American Legion and VFW, where he was a life member.
A Fremont Ross High School graduate, he enjoyed golf, flying airplanes and traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
The Rev. Joel Remmers will conduct the 11 a.m. Thursday service in Grace Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home, Fremont, where Elks services will be at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Hospice or the church.
Melissa Ella Gault
Bellevue/Ehove student
Melissa Ella Gault, 18, of Kern Street, Bellevue, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born in Findlay, Dec. 13, 1981, to Carl E. and Pamela (Warstler) Gault, who survive in Bellevue.
Other survivors include: a sister, Michele Gault of Bellevue; maternal grandparents, Robert and Lois Warstler of Toledo; paternal step-grandmother, Elizabeth A. Gault of Findlay; four aunts and two uncles.
Miss. Gault, a Bellevue High School junior, attended Ehove Vocational School.
A member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bellevue, she was involved in Fremont Community Theatre and had been in the high school chorus prior to attending Ehove.
She had lived in Bellevue since she was 6-years-old.
Services in St. John Lutheran Church will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the Auxter-Groff Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Dorothy E. Binau
Former Upper Sandusky homemaker
Dorothy E. Binau, 82, formerly of 420 W. Church St., Upper Sandusky, died at 9 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2000, in Winebrenner Village, Findlay, where she had resided for the past four years.
She was born June 26, 1917, in Salem Township, Wyandot County, to Louis G. and Abbie F. (Koehler) Frank. On Feb. 14, 1947, in Upper Sandusky, she married
Maurice W. "Boots" Binau. He preceded her in death May 6, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Maurine) Denney of Findlay; and two granddaughters, Robyn Denney and Rae Lyn Sherman, both of Findlay.
A brother, Glenn E. Frank, also is deceased.
Mrs. Binau, a homemaker, also assisted her husband in the family owned and operated former Binau Auto Service Station and Boots Motel, Upper Sandusky.
A Salem Township High School graduate, she also graduated from Tiffin Business School.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Order Eastern Star Warpole Chapter 366, both of Upper Sandusky and enjoyed traveling, vacationing in Florida and Canada, collecting seashells and eating out.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Jerry Elsholz officiating. Interment will be in Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today and noon Wednesday until time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Radio Fund, Wyandot Memorial Hospital or the donor's choice.
Walter R. 'Jack' Baker
Retired Sandusky County roadworker
Walter R. "Jack" Baker, 89, of Broadway Street, Fostoria, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2000., in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
He was born in Fremont, March 10, 1911, to Walter and Katherine (Shumaker) Baker. On June 21, 1948, in Pineville, Ky., he married
Elsie Hubbard, who survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: four sons, Roy and Carl Baker, both of Fostoria, Dale Baker of Columbus and Robert Baker of Clyde; five daughters, Nancy Baker of California, Ruby Baker of Toledo and Lois, Ruth and Francis Baker, all of Clyde; a sister, Eva Baker-Shivley of Toledo; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Three sons, William, James and Thomas Baker, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Baker, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, retired in 1960 as a Sandusky County roadworker.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Knollcrest cemetery, near Arcadia, with the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating.
Visitation will be private. The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.
Lloyd W. Agnew
Fostoria Foundry retiree
Lloyd W. Agnew, 89, of Union Street, Fostoria, died at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2000, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
He was born in Seneca County, Feb. 17, 1911, to Samuel and Lulu (Kinsey) Agnew. His wife, Helen M. (Myers) Agnew, whom he married
May 22, 1937, in West Independence, survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: a son, Robert Agnew of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara Jane) Heimberger of Willowick; and four grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Dr. J. Wilbur Agnew; and two sisters, Marjorie and Helen G. Agnew.
Mr. Agnew, a 1928 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School, retired in 1973 as a foreman, from the former Fostoria Foundry, after 44 years of service.
A former member of the Arcadia Lions Club, he was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria and the AARP.
The Rev. Jeffrey L. Waite will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Thursday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Union cemetery, near West Independence.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Bruce A. Gadd Sr.
Clyde Whirlpool assembler
Bruce A. Gadd Sr., 38, of Midvale Avenue, Clyde, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1961, in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, to the late Clyde Otten and Ruth Ann (Weston) Gadd. On Oct. 16, 1982, he married
Cynthia Doebel, who survives.
Survivors also include: three children, Amy, Bruce A. Jr. and James Gadd, all at home; a brother, Jeff Gadd of Concorde, N.C.; and two half-brothers, Clyde Gadd of Clyde and John Gadd of Bellevue.
A resident of Clyde for 23 years, Mr. Gadd had worked as an assembler at Clyde Whirlpool Corp. since September 1986.
He attended Vanguard Vocational School through Clyde High School, and served in the reserves of the U.S. Army and Marine Corp.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde. Interment will be in McPherson cemetery, Clyde.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the children's education fund.

Raymond J. Kastner, 92, died at 9:29 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at his home at 187 Fourth Ave.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home and a funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Catholic Church.
Aurelia L. Wittman
Homemaker/former resident of Tiffin
Aurelia L. Wittman, 89, formerly of Tiffin, died at 1:55 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2000, in the Winebrenner Village Nursing Home, Findlay, where she resided.
She was born in Cincinnati, March 20, 1911, to Theodore and Eva (Jacobs) Richter. Her husband, Alvin L. Wittman, preceded her in death March 25, 1991.
Survivors include: a son, Richard A. Wittman of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Nancy J.) Brubaker of Midland, Mich.; a brother, James Richter of Toledo; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister and two brothers, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wittman was a homemaker.
Private graveside services will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
There will be no visitation. The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine M. Dendinger
Bellevue centenarian
Catherine M. Dendinger, 102, formerly of 14889 Seneca CR 46, Bellevue, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in the Bellevue Care Center.
She was born Nov. 21, 1897, in Marywood, to Charles and Louise (Laux) Dendinger.
Surviving are: three nephews, Sylvester "Jake" Dendinger of Catawba Island, Eugene Dendinger of Marywood and Robert Dendinger of Bellevue; and two nieces, Anna Marie Meyer of Bellevue and Joan Shellhouse of Sycamore.
Four brothers, William, Clarence, Arthur and Walter; and twin sisters, Loretta and Lenora, also are deceased.
Mrs. Dendinger was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Marywood and its Alter Rosary Society.
Prayers will be recited at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Dendinger will officiate.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
