Dorothy S. Daniel, 85, of 1621 Daniel Road, Willard, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000, in Mercy Hospital, Willard.
She was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Bellevue, to Joseph and Catherine (Ausberger) Schriner. Her husband, Walter A. Daniel, died in 1969.
Surviving are: two sons, Harold E. and Alvin Daniel, both of Willard; a brother, James Schriner of Bellevue; and a sister Hilda Daniel of Willard
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Andrew and Lawrence Schriner; and a sister, Margaret Daniel.
A homemaker, Mrs. Daniel was a member of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Sebastian's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Sebastian's cemetery, Bismark.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, Attica, where the rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Richard E. Meyer
Nickle Plate Railroad retiree
Richard E. Meyer, 63, of 11513 Dining Road, Bellevue, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.
He was born in Bellevue, Dec. 10, 1936, to the late Elmer G. and Florence M. (Callan) Meyer. On April 16, 1955, he married
his wife of 45 years, Shirley (Sprowl) Meyer. She survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Stephen R. Meyer of Castalia and Rick Meyer of Bellevue; three daughters, Mrs. Morrison (Laura) Dillender of Bellevue, Mrs. Dennis (Rebecca) Hopkins of Wakeman and Lisa Meyer, also of Bellevue; six grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Keller) Schaffer of Norwalk and Linda Smith of Bellevue; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Meyer, a 1954 graduate of the Castalia Schools, worked as a switchman on the Nickle Plate Railroad from 1955 until his retirement in 1994. He was recently employed at Lamoli Trucking.
A lifelong resident of Groton Township, he served as a volunteer on the Groton Township Fire Department and at at Fisher Titus Medical Center.
Donald Spurlock will be the officiant at the 10 a..m. Wednesday service in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue. In honor of his dedicated service to the Groton Township Fire Department, the casket will be taken to Deyo cemetery, Groton Township, aboard one of the department's engines.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where Groton Township Firefighters service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Friends are invited to join the family at the Groton Township House for a luncheon following services in Deyo cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Groton Township Fire Department or the Bellevue Church of Christ.
Jutta Eva Elchert
Retired nutritionist
Jutta Eva Elchert, 63, of South Main Street, Fostoria, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
She was born in Ammerland, Germany, July 2, 1936, to the late Kaethe Kerschl. She first married
Marvin E. Elchert Aug. 13, 1956, in Hanau, Germany. He died June 22, 1974. She later married
James Rosendale in January 1989, in Findlay. He died Feb. 28, 1996.
Survivors include: two sons, James E. and Timothy E. Elchert, both of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Mylo (Debbie) Jennings and Mrs. Paul (Marylou) Miller, both of Fostoria; a sister, Helga Mackey of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A sister, Peggy Roman; and a grandchild, also are deceased.
Mrs. Elchert, a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, retired in 1999 as a nutritionist from the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Findlay.
She also was a member of Women of the Moose, Eagles, VFW and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliaries, all of Fostoria.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, where the rosary will be recited at 8:30.

Erita Julia Wilson

Erita Julia Wilson, 95, of Midvale Avenue, Clyde, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in the Arbors of Clyde.
She was born Oct. 31, 1904, in Gibsonburg, to Lewis and Christina (Kranz) Tebbe. Her husband, Frederick C. Wilson, whom she married
Aug. 28, 1929, died March 4, 1994.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Carolyn) Bannister of Clyde and Mrs. Leland (Linda) Ritter of North Fort Myers, Fla.; two sons, James F. Wilson of Clyde and William Wilson of Fremont; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three sons, Dennis E., Gerald E. and Fred Jr. Wilson; a infant daughter, Helen Mae Wilson; two brothers, Edwin and Marvin J. Tebbe; and two sisters, Mildred and Wilimenia Tebbe.
Mrs. Wilson, a homemaker, graduated in 1923 from the Gibsonburg Schools.
A resident of Clyde since 1953, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde, its Missionary Circle and Women of the Church.
The Rev. Gerry Gosnell will conduct the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde. Interment will be in North Union cemetery, Gibsonburg.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Bell Choir or Renovation Funds of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Joseph G. 'Joey' LaValle
Lima Applebee's manager
Joseph G. "Joey" LaValle, 28, of North Eighth Street, Upper Sandusky, died Monday, May 15, 2000, in a traffic accident on U.S. 30 west of Upper Sandusky.
He was born in Honololu, Hawaii, March 31, 1972, to Joseph and Janet Kay (Borkosky) LaValle. They survive in Marseilles Township, Upper Sandusky. On May 21, 1994, he married
Rebecca Covert, who also survives.
Other survivors include: his maternal grandmother, E. Maxine Borkosky of Upper Sandusky, paternal grandmother, Pauline (Iannaci) LaValle of Barnegat, N.J.; and a sister, Jennifer LaValle of Fostoria.
His maternal grandfather, T. Grant Borkosky, and his paternal grandfather, Joseph John LaValle, are deceased.
Mr. LaValle, a 1990 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, was employed as manager of Applebee's Restaurant in Lima. Before that he had managed Findlay Applebee's Restaurant.
A 1995 graduate of Tiffin University, with a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management, he was a member of Sigma Omega Sigma Fraternity at T.U.
He enjoyed playing golf, music and his Manchester terrier, Andres.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Lucas Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Amy L. Robinson-Haning, 31, of TR 63, Fostoria, died at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2000, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
She was born May 30, 1968, in Fostoria, to Delbert and Ethel (Eddinger) Robinson. Her father survives in Pemberville. Her husband, Charles S. Haning, whom she married
Oct. 4, 1997, in Risingsun, survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: two brothers, Chris and Eric Robinson, and two sisters, Terri Scott and Dixie Robinson, all of Fostoria.
Her mother and a sister, Sandra Myers, are deceased.
Mrs. Haning, a homemaker, was a 1986 graduate of Fostoria High School.
The Rev. Ted Hill will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Thursday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Word has been received of the death of Howard A. Halbeisen, 74, who died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at his home in Fremont.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; seven children, Michael E., Lawrence A., Terrence A. and Kevin B., all of Fremont, Anthony J. of Vickery, Jeffrey C. of Bridgewater, Va. and Mrs. Charles E. (Therese) Perkins of Bettsville; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Sacred Heart Church, Smith Road, Fremont. Interment will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Fremont.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today in the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, Fremont.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marjorie J. Crum

Marjorie J. Crum, 73, of North Woodland Ave., Clyde, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in the Elmwood Nursing Home, Green Springs.
She was born in Bellevue, June 2, 1926, to Oscar and Ada (Loose) Zeitzer. Her first husband, Nicholas Young Jr., and her second husband, James E. Crum, are both deceased.
Survivors include: a son, Nicholas Young III. of Clyde; a sister, Mrs. August (Anna) Schrader of Green Springs; and nieces and nephews.
A sister, Martha Humberger-Fraley, also is deceased.
Mrs. Crum, a 1944 graduate of Clyde High School, was the co-owner with her second husband, of Whites Landing Market.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde. Interment will be in McPherson cemetery, Clyde.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Karen J. Mingus

Karen J. Mingus, 58, died at 6:35 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2000, at her residence at 124 Charlotte Ave., Bellevue, following a long illness.
She was born in Tiffin, Dec. 18, 1941, to J. Warren Ward and Ruth (Meisner) Ward Skeels. Her mother and stepfather, Robert Skeels, survive in Bellevue. On Sept. 18, 1969, she married
Richard E. Mingus, who also survives.
Other survivors include: two children, Brett and Marcia Mingus, both of Bellevue; five step-children, Richard and Robert Mingus, both of Portsmouth, Ohio, Robin Risenbeck of Las Vegas, Nev., Ama Jo Simpson, also of Portsmouth and Peter Mingus of Detroit, Mich.
An only child, she was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Mingus, a 1959 graduate of Thompson High School, where she served as class president, had been employed as an assembler at Whirlpool Corp.
An avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, she was a member of Fireside United Church of Christ and Women of the Moose Lodge 284, where she served as past senior regent. She also enjoyed flea markets.
The Rev. Candace Thomas will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Thursday service in the Auxter-Groff Funeral Home, Bellevue. Interment will be in Bellevue cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the Bellevue Moose Lodge.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Moose Lodge services will be at 6:45 p.m.

He was born June 16, 1926, in Durham, N.C., to Harold E. and Margaret (Riley) Deaton. He had never married
.
Survivors include: two sisters, Pat Warren and Elsie Assenheimer, both of Tiffin; and a brother, Harold E. Deaton of Poway, Calif.
A sister, Margaret Birch, also is deceased.
A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Deaton had been employed as a sound technician in Cleveland.
He was a Junior Home graduate in Lexington, N.C.
Graveside services in Greenlawn cemetery will be private.
There will be no visitation. The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gerald J. Dannemiller, 74, of SR 224, Willard, died Monday, May 15, 2000, in the Hillside Acres Nursing Home, WIllard, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 13, 1926, in Willard, to Elery and Eleanor (Schlachter) Dannemiller. His wife, Alfreda (Hartenstein) Dannemiller, whom he married
Feb. 16, 1952, survives.
Survivors also include: four sons, Thomas Dannemiller of Shelby, James Dannemiller of Plymouth, Andrew Dannemiller of Willard and John Dannemiller of Shelby; six daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jeannette) Schroeder, Mrs. John (Barbara) Gosser and Mrs. Kevin (Arlene) Eidt, all of Shelby, Mrs. Michael (Ruth) Blaisdell and Mrs. Gregory (Pauline) Bogner, both of Willard, and Mrs. Eric (Marie) Baumgartner of Oxford, Ohio; 27 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Leo (Mary) Depinet of Perrysburg; and a brother, Richard Dannemiller of Plymouth.
Also preceding him in death were a grandson, a great-grandson; and a brother, Daniel Dannemiller.
Mr. Dannemiller, who had lived most of his line in the Willard area, worked in a factory as well as working on his own farm.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Plymouth.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. Melvin Verhoff and Sister Joann Brodman, co-officiating. Burial wil be in the St. Joseph Catholic cemetery, Willard.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Secor Funeral Home, Willard, where a prayer service will be at 8:45 p.m.
