William A. Schlick, 59, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in Wickliffe.

He was born Nov. 6, 1940, to William F. and Elizabeth (Conroy) Schlick, who are deceased. He married Anna Theis July 20, 1968.

Survivors include: his wife of Wickliffe; two daughters, Laura Schlick of Euclid and Linda Schlick of Wickliffe; two brothers, Robert of North Olmsted and Jerry of Tiffin; and a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Marianne) Kirian of Toledo.

The funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Wickliffe.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Orlando Donsante Funeral Home in Wickliffe.

Emmert J. Siebenaller
Resident of Tiffin

Emmert J. Siebenaller, 89, of 192 St. Francis Ave., died at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in the emergency room of the Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Agnes M. Krupp
St. Francis resident

Agnes M. Krupp, 99, formerly of 5 Brookwood Park, died at 6:59 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in the St. Francis Home.

Arrangements are pending at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Gertrude A. Hufford
Former Sycamore resident

Gertrude A. Hufford, 91, formerly of Sycamore, died at 5:13 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Eaglewood Care Center, Carey.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.

Keegan Edwin Beamer
Stillborn son

Keegan Edwin Beamer, stillborn, was delivered Wednesday evening, Feb. 2, 2000, at Fisher-Titus Medical Hospital, Norwalk. He is survived by his parents: Jamie L. (Thomson) and Edwin J. Beamer, P.O. Box 14, Attica. Maternal grandparents are: Cheryl Thomson of Attica and James and Sue Thomson of Bellevue. Paternal grandparents are Wade and Ancilla Beamer of Attica. Maternal great-grandparents are: John and Dorothy Thomson of Ashland and Coletta Yesberger of Bloomville. Paternal great-grandparents are Irene Beamer of Caroline and Alberta Fisher of Tiffin. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents: Glen Yesberger, Wade Beamer and Edwin Fisher.

Private family services will be Monday at the Attica United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Kalb officiating. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Township cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Home, Attica.

Stephan A. Creeger
Old Fort School teacher

Stephan A. Creeger, 54, of 4198 North Liberty TR 71, Tiffin, died at 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in the emergency room at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1945, in Tiffin to Cletus and Dorothy (Byers) Creeger. They are deceased.

On July 24, 1965, he married Mary Lee DuMond. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Joshua S. Creeger of Mildenhall Airforce Base, England; three daughters, Michele I. Dowler of Tiffin, Mrs. Shannon Montez of Austin, Texas, and Mrs. Marcy Amposta of Davis, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Holly Whiteman of Cape Coral, Fla., Beverly Omlor of Findlay and Mrs. Lisa Perry of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Jeffrey Creeger of Tampa, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Johnny Creeger.

Mr. Creeger was a 1964 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School, where he was a member of the 1964 championship basketball team. He graduated from Cedarville College in 1977, and Ashland University in 1991 with a master's degree in curriculum and development. He taught special education in the Wynford School District for 15 years, and taught special education at Old Fort High School for a year.

He was the voice of Old Fort Stockaders for 10 years. Memberships included: board of directors of Commission on Aging; board of Weekday Religious Education; Old Fort Lions Club; Parents Advisory Committee for Old Fort High School; and the Fremont Alliance Church.

The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate the 1 p.m. Saturday funeral at the Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Visitation hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Old Fort Lions Club Service starting at 7:30.

Memorials may be made to: Fremont Alliance Church; Old Fort High School; Autumnwood Care Center Van Fund; or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dolores E. Ranes
Native of Tiffin

Dolores E. Ranes, 72, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in the Toledo Hospital after a long illness. She was born In Tiffin Feb. 3, 1928, to Walter M. and Hazel E. (West) Chambers. She married Byron K. Ranes Nov. 15, 1946. He died Nov. 7, 1985.

Survivors include: three sons, Dennis L. Ranes of Holland, Ohio, Daniel W. Ranes of Elmore and David L. Ranes of Clay Center; her companion, David Fink of Port Clinton; a brother, Norman M. Chambers of Atlanta, Mich.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ranes was a homemaker and during the 1960s she worked for the former Platt's Five and Dime store in Genoa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Robinson-Henn-Brossia Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa. Burial will be in the Clay Township cemetery, Genoa.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Hazel M. Clark
Fostoria homemaker

Hazel M. Clark, 78, of 725 Columbus Ave, Fostoria, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.

She was born Nov. 4, 1921, to George and Myrtle (Hedden) Hopkins. On Jan. 25, 1941, she married Robert E. Clark. He died April 8, 1995.

Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Kraylek of Fostoria and Myrtle Mason of Troy; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A son, Dean Robert Clark, is deceased.

Mrs. Clark was a homemaker.

The Rev. Sterling Beasley will officiate the memorial services at 3:30 p.m. today at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Chapel.

There are no visitation.

Burial will be at Kansas cemetery, Kansas.

Thomas D. Kimmel
Retired Kimmel Corp. president

Thomas D. Kimmel, 66, of 226 N. Fifth St., Upper Sandusky, died at his home. He was born Aug. 22, 1933, to Dale D. and Helen N. (Lerch) Kimmel. Both are deceased. On Jan. 8, 1955 he married Donna L. Morrison. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Mark and Kurt Kimmel, both of Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Mrs. Pam Karg of Upper Sandusky; and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Patricia Sclater.

Mr. Kimmel graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1951, and attended Toledo University. He worked alongside of his father starting in 1955 at Kimmel Cleaners. In 1970 he took over operations until his retirement in 1994 when he retired as president of Kimmel Corp.

Memberships included: First Lutheran Church of Upper Sandusky, member since 1956, serving on church council for many years and active in many different capacities; Warpole Lodge 176 F&AM, past master; McCutchen Chapter 96 RAM; Upper Sandusky Council 98 R&SM; Marion Commandery 36; Alladin Temple of the Shrine, Columbus; Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, 32nd Degree Mason; Wyandot County Shrine Club, past president; BPOE 83, Upper Sandusky; Upper Sandusky Lions Club, past president; Ohio Cleaners Association for over a quarter century, holding every office in the state association, including president in 1988-89.

He received the most prestigious award in the cleaning industry, The Clean Award, in 1991. He was instrumental in organizing the Ohio Association of Textile Service Association in 1987, holding every office including president in 1992-93. He was a member and past president of International Fabricare Institute and Roundtable of Launderers and Drycleaners, and served as a consultant for the Ohio Management Group.

Mr. Kimmel was: instrumental in starting the Upper United Development Corp., which he served as chairman and president; founder and president of the Kilbourne Group and was involved with Highland Acres Development; on board of directors of the First National Bank in Upper Sandusky, and received one of the highest awards in the Lions Club, "The Melvin Jones Fellowship Award."

The Rev. Robert Gordon and the Rev. Charles Steward will officiate the 2 p.m. Sunday service at the First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky. Burial will be at Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky.

Visitation hours will be 2-9 p.m. Saturday at the Lucas Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and one hour prior to the service at the church Sunday.

A masonic service will be at 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to: Hospice of Wyandot County; American Cancer Society; Ohio Federation for the Blind; Lions Club Sight and Hearing Fund; and/or to the charity of the donor's choice. All of which can be sent in care of the Lucas Funeral Home, P.O. Box 207, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.

Levi R. "Lee" Glick III
Retired ITT security guard

Levi R. "Lee" Glick III, 63, of 209 E. Davis St., died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1937, to Levi R. and Laura (Remsberg) Glick II. His mother survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include: a brother, Marvin A. Glick of Tiffin; two sisters, Mrs. Alma M. Messinger of Tiffin and Mrs. Peg Roush of Melmore; 11 nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

Mr. Glick attended Columbian High School and retired in 1985 from ITT after 30 years of being a security guard. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

The Rev. Mark Lafferty will officiate the graveside service at the Seneca Memory Gardens. A memorial service will be at a later date. No visitation hours are scheduled..

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice.

Jessie Ray Willoughby
Heidelberg alumna

Jessie Ray Willoughby, 100, of Richard Township, Huron County, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Hillside Acres, Willard. She was born Sept. 27, 1899, in Attica to the late John E. and Frances (Holz) Fink.

Surviving are: two sons, Russell Willoughby of Willard and Weldon Willoughby of Columbus; five grandchildren, Richard Willoughby of Willard, Susan Gray of Jackson, Mich., Janet Dials of Willard, Keith Willoughby of Hilliard and John Willoughby of Sidney; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband Russell in 1984; a sister, Hallie; and four brothers, Chalmer, Forrest, Clinton and Clifton.

Mrs. Willoughby attended Heidelberg College and was a graduate of Columbus Business College,. In 1920 she was an office employee of Moores and Ross, and Borden Milk Companies in Columbus for several years after graduation. She is a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Stephen Holliday will officiate the 11 a.m. Monday service at the Richmond United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Attica-Venice Township cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave., Willard.

Memorials may be made to the Richmond United Methodist Church through the funeral home.

James W. Gilhuly
Fostoria municpal retiree

James W. Gilhuly, 80, of Burnham Drive, Fostoria, died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

He was born Oct. 31, 1919, to Joseph A. and Virginia (Clouser) Gilhuly. On June 28, 1947, he married Edna J. Longacre. She died Dec. 22, 1999.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were: parents; wife; and a sister, Mrs. Noreen Toy.

Mr. Gilhuly was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He retired in 1973 as a supervisor at the Sewage Treatment Plant for the City of Fostoria. Memberships included: Wesley United Methodist Church; Fostoria Lodge 288 F&AM; Fostoria Council 90; Garfield Chapter 150; Fostoria Commandery 62; Fostoria Chapter 94; Order of Eastern Star; Fostoria High Twelve; Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo; Fostoria Historical Society; and the Fostoria Glass Heritage Association.

The Rev. Branson Hawkes will officiate the 11 a.m. Monday service at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fountain cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Joint Service Groups of Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, with masonic memorial services at 4 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Wendell R. Main
Retired county auditor

Wendell R. Main, 88, of 312 Van Buren St., Republic, died suddenly Friday evening, Feb. 11, 2000, in the Emergency Care Center of Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

He was born Feb. 4, 1912, in Delaware County, to Frank and Della (Ufferman) Main. On Oct. 22, 1940, in Bucyrus, he married Barbara Alice Lee, who survives.

Also surviving are: three sons, Stephen L. Main of Belle Center, David F. Main of Tiffin and Wendell R. "Chip" Main II of Boonville, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Carole) Kern of Delaware, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death July 5, 1945, by a son, John W. Main.

Mr. Main, who formerly worked as the salvage superintendent at Whirlpool in Clyde, served as the Seneca County Auditor from 1962 until he retired in 1981. He also served as precinct judge for the Village of Republic.

A member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, he traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada and spent summers at his cottage in Northern Ontario.

He also was a member of the Allied Masonic Degrees Firelands Council 94, Sovereign Master Firelands, Tall Cedars of Lebanon North Central Forest 170 and a 50-year member of the following: Tiffin Lodge 77, Seneca Chapter 42 and Clinton Council 47.

Also a member of Demolay Commandery 9, a Knight of York Cross of Honor, a past patron of Tiffin Chapter 189 Order Eastern Star and the Demolay Legion of Honor, he served as past district deputy grand master and past district educational officer of the 15th Masonic District.

He also was a member of Zenobia Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Toledo, past president and charter member of the Crusaders Unit of Toledo; member of the Scottish Rite-Valley of Toledo 32; an honorary member of the Hildreth Lodge 165-Republic; Science Lodge 50-Sandusky; Ely Lodge 424-Vermillion and Elk Lake Lodge of Ontario, Canada.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Washington Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry P. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, where Masonic services will be at 6:30 p.m. Visitation also will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Ruth E. Kell
Retired accountant/auditor

Ruth E. Kell, 86, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in the Seneca House, 781 S. Greenfield St., where she had been a resident for 15 months.

She was born in Chatfield, March 17, 1913, to Jesse M. and Trenah (Johnson) Lust. Her husband, John A. Kell, is deceased.

Survivors include: a brother, Nevin J. Lust of Tiffin; and a sister, Mrs. Carole (Freda) France, also of Tiffin.

Mrs. Kell, who retired as an accountant and auditor from Elmac Corp. of Huntington, W.Va., also taught business courses at Timken High School in Canton and at Mt. Zion School in Bucyrus.

A 1931 graduate of Columbian High School and a 1935 graduate of Heidelberg College, she also obtained a business degree from Kent State University and did graduate work at USC and UCLA in Los Angeles, Calif.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Huntington, W.Va., where she had formerly resided.

Memorial services will be in Huntington at a later date, with the Rev. David Vinson of St. John's Episcopal Church officiating.

The Turner-Engle Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
