Leonard Fazio
General Motors retiree
Leonard Fazio, 72, of Seneca Drive, Bellevue, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, in the Bellevue Hospital.
He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Plymouth, to Carl and Rose (Miorca) Fazio. In November 1948, he married
Irene Longyear, who survives in Bellevue.
Other survivors include: four sons, Larry and James Fazio, both of Bellevue, Jerry Fazio of Clyde and Steve Fazio of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Diane Bogner of Clyde; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild; two brothers, Sam Fazio of Willard and Bill Fazio of Plymouth; and two sisters, Rose Codner and Mary Baker, both of California.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fazio, a U.S. Navy veteran, was employed at General Motors, New Departure, for 23 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the Bellevue Eagles and Club Amer-Ital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, with the Rev. Robert Tucceri officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, where military graveside honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gary Dennis Murrey
Former Tiffin resident
Word has been received of the death of former Tiffin resident Gary Dennis Murrey, 53, of Bradenton, Fla., who died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, following a short illness.
He was born in Tiffin Dec. 4, 1946, to Junior Murrey and Anna Belle Wilcox Murrey. His father survives in Oneco, Fla. and his mother, now Anna Belle Taylor, survives in Palmetto, Fla.
Also surviving is a sister, Linda Murrey.
A sister is deceased.
Mr. Murrey attended the Tiffin public schools and graduated from Columbian High School in 1965.
He joined the Navy shortly after graduation and took his training at Great Lakes. He was a member of the Navy Choir, which sang in and around Chicago with the Fred Waring Orchestra. He spent four years aboard a destroyer the U.S.S. Zurse.
Following his discharge he moved to Bradenton and became a music student at Manatic Junior College, later transferring to Kellogg College, Battle Creek, Mich. where he received a degree in music and arts. He returned to Bradenton to pursue his career, free lancing in both music and the arts.
Following the deceased's wishes his body was cremated and will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico at a memorial service Feb. 6. The Palmetto Funeral Home is in charge of cremation. Elder Madison Williams will be in charge of the service.
Opal A. Broadwater
Carey homemaker
Opal A. Broadwater, 77, died at 10:52 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at her residence at 10985 TH 28, Carey.
She was born in Ravenswood, W.Va., March 21, 1922, to the Rev. L.G. and Chloe E. (Nuzum) Crew. Her husband, Earl S. Broadwater, whom she married
Aug. 12, 1944, in Portsmouth, Va., survives.
Survivors also include: five children, Earl L. Broadwater of Kansas, Ohio, Mrs. Ronald (Karen) Griffin of Fostoria, Mrs. Roger (Sharon) Thomas of Findlay, Larry W. Broadwater of Vanlue and Michael G. Broadwater of Carey; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Naomi) Spencer of Vanlue and Mrs.James (Marjorie) Kizer of Tiffin.
A sister, Geneva Sims, and a brother, Delmar Crew, are deceased.
Mrs. Broadwater, a homemaker, was a charter member of Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, rural Carey.
She was active in the church, serving as treasurer for 30 years, as a Sunday school teacher, in the bus ministry and as a steward and janitor.
She had received the "Distinguished Service Award" from the church.
Pastor Buck Traylor will be the officiant at the 1:30 p.m. Thursday service in the Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Dale LeRoy Helms
Former Fostoria councilman
Dale LeRoy Helms, 61, of Hissong Avenue, Fostoria, died at his residence at 5:10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2000.
He was born in Fostoria, Jan. 30, 1939, to the late Dale and Reva (Yates) Helms. He first married
Patricia M. Kinworthy, and they were divorced. On July 20, 1979, in Fostoria, he married
Edith J. Sperry. She survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: two sons, Kipper Helms of Fostoria and Chad L. Helms of Bascom; a stepson, Mitchell Lee Randol of Green Springs; a daughter, Jody Thompson-Jernigan of Fostoria; a stepdaughter, Remona Jane Pennycuff of Fostoria; two brothers, Gary and John Berrier, both of Fostoria; a sister, Jacqueline Miller of Fostoria; and 13 grandchildren.
A grandson preceded him in death.
Mr. Helms, a U.S. Navy veteran, retired in 1991 from the Atlas Crankshaft Co., Fostoria, after 30 years.
He served as a Fostoria city councilman 1992-95 and zoning inspector 1996-99, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Fostoria United Sportsman's Club and the Fostoria American Legion.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery, West Millgrove.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Shirley A. Bigler
Bellevue homemaker
Shirley A. Bigler, 56, of McKim Street, Bellevue, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
She was born June 10, 1943, in Bellevue, to the late Clark and Rheta (Stevens) Welch.
Survivors include: a daughter, Melody Bigler of Bellevue; and three sisters, Reba Richards and Loma Smith, both of Bellevue, and Nancy Ross of Clyde.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Archie Welch, and a sister, Yvonne Welch.
A homemaker and avid bingo player, Mrs. Bigler was a graduate of Green Springs High School.
She was a member of Clyde Eagles Auxiliary 2291.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens Chapel, Clyde, with burial following.
Visitation in the Chapel will be 1:30-2 p.m. Thursday.

Robert E. Bouker
Retired federal accountant
Robert E. Bouker, 88, of Castalia Street, Bellevue, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, in Providence Hospital, Sandusky.
He was born Oct. 20, 1911. On May 30, 1939, he married
Pearl Barnard, who survives.
Mr. Bouker had been employed by the federal government for many years as an accountant in Washington, D.C., and Fremont.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Bellevue cemetery.
Visitation will be private. The Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary L. 'Susie' Snay
Former Tiffin Glass employee
Mary L. "Susie" Snay, 65, died at 7:12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at her home at 99 Center St.
She was born in Tiffin, Oct. 26, 1934, to Alvin and Margaret (Hoover) Krupp. Her mother survives in Tiffin. On Nov. 12, 1952, in Cleveland, she married
Norman L. Snay, who preceded her in death June 19, 1987.
Surviving are: three sons, Daniel and David Snay, both of Tiffin and Dennis Snay of Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. Monty (Linda) Yates of Casper, Wyo.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Cheryl) Williams of Kansas City, Mo. and Mrs. Joseph (Valeri) Walker of Van Nys, Calif.; a sister, Kathleen Shireman of Old Fort; a brother, Richard Yoakum of Germany; and four grandchildren.
Her father is deceased.
Mrs. Snay, a member of the Catholic Faith, worked in quality control at the former Tiffin Glass House for 33 years. She retired after seven years of employment at Ameriwood.
A 1952 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and a 1985 graduate of Terra Technical College, where she received her medical secretary degree, she was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
An avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan, she enjoyed playing bingo.
A funeral Mass will be at noon Monday in St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Conrad Sutter as celebrant. The rosary will be recited at the church at 11:45 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery, Old Fort.
Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. Monday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care or a charity of the donor's choice.
Virginia Agerter
Mother/sister of Tiffin residents
Word has been received of the death of Virginia Agerter, 80, who died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she resided.
She was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Toledo, to Herman and Marie (Bork) Hoerig. Her husband, Robert L. Agerter, whom she married
Sept. 25, 1939, in Napoleon, is deceased.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sister Georgiana of St. Francis Convent, Tiffin and Mrs.John (Glad) Barto of Scottsdale; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Hoerig of Tiffin; and a sister, Rosemary (Hoerig) Lofay, also of Tiffin.
A daughter, Phyllis J. Coffman; and seven brothers, Norman, Frank, Robert, Marion, Thomas, Lawrence and Eugene, also are deceased.
Mrs. Agerter, who had worked at the former General Electric in Tiffin for 11 years, moved to Arizona and worked 22 years at Motorola as a lab technician. She had been retired for 18 years.
Services will be in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11300 N. 64th St., Scottsdale.
The Desert Hills Mortuary, Scottsdale, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Arizona Humane Society.
Fred C. Taylor
Skilled factory laborer
Fred C. Taylor, 76, of 433 N. 7th St., Upper Sandusky, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, in the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.
He was born in North Baltimore, March 26, 1923, to Fred E. and Beulah (McMaster) Taylor.
Surviving are a sister, E. Eileen Lay of Greenwich; a niece and nephew; two great nieces and a great nephew.
His brother-in-law also preceded him in death.
Mr. Taylor, a 1941 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, had been employed as a skilled laborer at Marion Power Shovel in Marion for 40 years.
A World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, where he attained the rank of Air Plane Armor Sergeant, enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.
He was a former member of the Wyandot County Rod and Gun Club.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oak Hill cemetery, Upper Sandusky, where military graveside rites will be conducted by local veterans groups. The Rev. Charles Steward will officiate

Jennifer L. 'Jenny' Fawley
Ross High School senior
Jennifer L. "Jenny" Fawley, 18, of 1521 W. Cole Road, Fremont, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, in Providence Hospital, Sandusky.
She was born in Fremont, Sept. 14, 1981, to Jim and Jane (Stover) Fawley, who survive.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Jason and Joshua Fawley and a sister, Jessica Fawley, all at home; grandparents, Mary Stover and Helen Brown, both of Fremont; step-grandfather, Robert Brown of Fremont; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her grandfathers, Alvin Stover and Richard Fawley.
Miss Fawley, a Fremont Ross High School senior, had just started working as a hostess at the Wichita Bar and Grill in Fremont.
A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fremont, she recently had been accepted as a student at Kent State University.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday in the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, Fremont, where a wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Robert Bowman Billhardt
Former caterer/decorator
Former Upper Sandusky resident, Robert Bowman Billhardt, 80, of Palm Springs, Calif., where he had lived since 1946, died at 6:04 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Upper Sandusky, to Dolph F. and Marguerite B. (Bowman) Billhardt.
Survivors include: a sister, Christine Cope of Upper Sandusky.
His grandparents were Dr. and Mrs. I.N. Bowman and Mr. and Mrs. A. Billhardt Jr.
Mr. Billhardt, a decorator with Barker Brothers and Cannell and Chafin, decorated the homes of many prominent Hollywood personalities. He also was in private business with Milton Williams, a well-known caterer and decorator.
He served as a Naval aviation trainee during World War II in the U.S. Navy Air Corp.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church, Upper Sandusky, he had attended Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio.
Graveside entombment services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, in the family mausoleum at Oak Hill cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Wessler officiating.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky.
