Catherine M. Perkins
Resident of Clyde
Catherine M. Perkins, 54, of North Main Street, Clyde, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo, following a sudden illness.
She was born April 29, 1945, in Tram, Ky., to the late Manuel and Carrie (Delord) Perkins.
Surviving is a nephew, Ron Perkins of Clyde.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Jo, Wiley and Bernard Perkins.
Miss Perkins, a graduate of Seanons College in Kentucky, was employed in Kentucky at the U.S. Army Depot, retiring many years ago. She enjoyed reading and animals.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, Clyde. Burial will take place in Kentucky.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Edna M. (Lenhart) Barnes
Centenarian/New Riegel native
Edna M. (Lenhart) Barnes, 100, formerly of 1607 Westwood Drive NW, Warren, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in the Community Skilled Nursing Center, following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 9, 1899, in New Riegel, to Joseph and Julie (Heinl) Lenhart. Her first husband, George Mahan, died June 28, 1956. On April 20, 1967, she married
John Barnes. He also is deceased.
Surviving are a sister, Celestine Fenstermaker of Warren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were four sisters, Mayme Fox, Rose Serin, Fannie Steyer and Gertrude Burnett; and three brothers, Clemence, Florian and Anthony Lenhart.
Mrs. Barnes, the former owner of Janice Hat Shop, which she opened following her retirement, also worked in the office at Western Union for 30 years.
A member of Christ Our King Catholic Church, she enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking.
Services in Christ Our King Catholic Church, Warren, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Warren.
Visitation at the Roberts-Clark Memorial Home,180 Garfield Drive, NE Warren, will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Oliver Bryant
Father of Tiffin resident
Word has been received of the death of Oliver Bryant, 71, a resident of Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont, who died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in Fremont Memorial Hospital.
He was born in HiHat, Ky., June 11, 1928, to the late Willard and Delilah Bryant. His wife, Madgie (Compton) Bryant, whom he married
Oct. 6, 1967, survives in Albion, Mich.
Other survivors include: 10 children, Charlotte McConnell of Albion, Debbie Rollheiser of Oak Harbor, Patty Lonsbury of Tiffin, Linda Naugle of Bowling Green, Carol Bishop of Port Clinton, Brenda Collins of Printer, Ky., Ricky Bryant of Albion, Danny Bryant of Drift, Ky., Jesse Bryant of Homer, Mich., and Donald Bryant of McDowell, Ky.; 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Mullins of Price, Ky.
Two sisters, Della Bryant and Draxie Stephens; and three brothers, Brooks, Robert and Clarence Bryant, also are deceased.
Mr. Bryant worked as a coal miner in Kentucky most of his life until the mid 1960s, then became disabled.
He was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church.
Services in the Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 16680 E. Michigan Ave., Albion, Mich., will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Albion.
Visitation at the church is 2-4 and 6-10 p.m. today and Thursday.

Paul E. Beck
Wyandot County dairy farmer
Paul E. Beck, 80, of rural Wharton, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in the Wyandot Manor, Upper Sandusky.
He was born in Ridge Township, Wyandot County, Jan. 20, 1919, to E.M. and Lida V. (McCleary) Beck. On Easter Sunday, April 5, 1942, in Old Fort he married
Ruth T. Brown. She survives.
Survivors also include: eight children, Mrs. David (Carolyn) Fruth of Seymour, Ind., Mrs. Alvin (Elaine) Rettig of Findlay, Mrs. Ronald (Alice) Forgrave of New Albany; David E. Beck of Wharton, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Pickett of New Albany, Daniel J. Beck of Carey, John W. Beck of Mt. Blanchard and Joseph W. Beck of Wharton; 20 grandchildren; a brother, Howard Beck of Carey; and two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Walter of North Carolina and Donna Walter of Findlay.
A brother, Raymond Beck; a sister, Esther Fry; a half brother, Nial Beck; and a half sister, Pauline Filhart, are deceased.
Mr. Beck, a lifelong Wyandot County dairy farmer, retired in 1984 from Atlas Inc., Fostoria, after 20 years.
He attended Wharton First Church of God, where he served as Sunday school superintendent for several years.
A 1936 graduate of Wharton High School, he was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, holding the rank of sergeant.
The Rev. Richard Van Horn and the Rev. Melvin Summy will be the co-officiants at the 11 a.m. Friday service in Wharton First Church of God. Burial will be in Zion Bloom cemetery, Vanlue, where military graveside services will be conducted.
Visitation at the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey, will be 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Memorials may be made the church or Gideon International.
Robert A. Frazier
Retired meat processor
Robert A. Frazier, 78, formerly of 1287 N. Woodland Ave., Clyde, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in the Bellevue Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1921, in Dunlap, Tenn, to William and Ella (Tompkins) Frazier. His wife, Laura Louise (Boyd) Frazier, whom he married
Sept. 23, 1955, in Clyde, died Oct. 13, 1990.
Surviving are two sons, Phillip P. Frazier of Republic and William A. Frazier of Clyde; a daughter, Roberta Harvey of Clyde; a sister, Marguerite Eker of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Standifer and Edwin "Red" Frazier and twin grandsons.
Mr. Frazier, a member of Clyde American Legion Post 122 and the First Baptist Church, Clyde, retired in 1985 as a meat processor from the Peter Ecrich Co., where he had been employed for 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the engineers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Owens officiating. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery, Clyde, where Clyde VFW Post 3343 and American Legion Post 122 will conduct military graveside services.
Visitation at the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, Clyde, will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. The body also will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Lisa Marie Hamilton
Signature Labeling employee
Lisa Marie Hamilton, 19, of 3334 CR 195, Clyde, and her unborn child, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on SR 163 near Oak Harbor.
She was born Jan. 22, 1980, in Fremont, to Loney and Mary L. (Rust) Hamilton, who survive in Clyde.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Mark of Jackson, Mich. and Mike of Albion, Mich.; three sisters, Kim Woelber of Minnesota, Denise Shaull of Clyde and Tracy Hall of Albion; her grandmother, Wilma Rust of Oak Harbor; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hamilton an employee of Signature Labeling in Oak Harbor, enjoyed NASCAR and collecting Winnie the Pooh memorabilia.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6 in the First Baptist Church, Clyde, with the Rev. William Owens officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
Visitation at the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, Clyde will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. The body also will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service Monday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Jeff L. Ward
Landscaper
Jeff L. Ward, 45, of 107 W. Adams St., Green Springs, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in The Arbors at Clyde, where he had been a patient for a week.
He was born in Fremont, Aug. 8, 1954, to James A. and Phyllis (Drown) Ward, who survive in Green Springs. He had never married
.
Survivors also include: a half-brother, Dan Kopp of Ashland; and a sister, Diana Hammer of Green Springs.
A brother, Joseph Ward, is deceased.
Mr. Ward, a 1972 graduate of Clyde High School, was employed in landscaping. He had resided in the Green Springs area most of his life.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today and one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Jacqueline D. 'Jackie' Bair

Jacqueline D. "Jackie" Bair, 73, 32 Noble St., was dead on arrival at 7:12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Fairview, Mass., to Marcel and Leona (Peloquin) Bach. Her husband, John J. Bair Sr., whom she married
Jan. 8, 1944, in St. Ann's Church, Sumter, S.C., preceded her in death Aug. 3, 1970.
Survivors include: three sons, John Jr., David and Robert Bair, all of Tiffin; six daughters, Carol Mullennex Gaghan of Bullhead City, Ariz., Mrs. Urbie (Janet) Durnwald of New Washington, Mrs. Michael (Alice) Kisabeth of Tiffin, Mrs. James (Anna) Jackson of Round Lake Beach, Ill., Mrs. Jeffrey (Marsha) Williams and Mrs. Dale (Mary) Cole, also both of Tiffin; 34 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman Bach of Chicopee, Mass.; and a sister, Mrs. Fred (Doris) Mendes of Springfield, Mass.
A sister, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Morin, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bair, a graduate of Chicopee High School in Massachusetts, retired from the General Electric after 36 years of employment.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ladies of the Moose, Eagles Auxiliary, the DAV and Coffee Club at McDonalds.
The Rev. Frank Murd will be the celebrant at the 10 a.m. Friday funeral Mass in St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., Eagles services will be at 7 p.m., Moose services at 7:30 p.m., DAV services possibly at 8 p.m. and a wake service at 8:45 p.m.
Golda V. Hoke
Seneca County native
Golda V. Hoke, 84, of Springfield, formerly of Crystal River, Fla., died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, in the Villa Springfield Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 16, 1915, in Seneca County, to John and Yasbel (Holsinger) Conner. Her husband, William D. Hoke, preceded her in death in 1993.
Surviving are: a son, William K. Hoke of Urbana; two grandchildren; two brothers, Arley Conner of Port Clinton and Wilber Conner of Castalia; a sister, Ruth Liebengood of Green Springs and numerous nieces and nephews.
A brother, Ottis Conner; and a sister, Mary, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hoke, a self-employed beautician, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in both Fremont and Crystal River, where she was active in its women's group and a member of the choir.
She also was a member of the Fremont Women's Club, where she served as past president.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10 in the First Presbyterian Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Nagel officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Sandusky County Share and Care and the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.

Gary N. Bracht
National Machinery employee
Gary N. Bracht, 57, 81 Ohio Ave., died at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin, minutes after arrival.
He was born in Cleveland, March 23, 1942, to Paul and Alice (Nehrenz) Bracht, who survive in Sunny Hills, Fla. On April 4, 1964, in the First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, he married
Susan L. Kraft, who also survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Brian (Karen) Bowers and Kathy, who will be Mrs. Mark Kaufman this Saturday, both of Tiffin; a granddaughter; a brother, William H. Bracht of Plymouth, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Stephen (Charlotte "Midge") Keller of Casselberry, Fla.
Mr. Bracht, a 1960 graduate of Manchester High School, Akron, was employed in the finance department at the National Machinery since 1963.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Tiffin, Tiffin Lodge 77 Free and Accepted Masons, past master of Tiffin Lodge in 1996; former treasurer of Tiffin Lodge; Seneca Chapter 42; Clinton Council 47; Demolay Commandry 9 Knights Templar; Tiffin Chapter 189 Order Eastern Star and currently president of the 16th Masonic District.
He had resided in the Tiffin area since 1960.
The Rev. Margaret M. Marks will be the officiant at the 2:30 p.m. Friday service in the First Lutheran Church of Tiffin. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Turner-Engle Funeral Home and in the chapel of First Lutheran Church one hour before the service on Friday. Tiffin Lodge 77 will conduct Masonic services at 7 p.m. and the National Quarter Century Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Masonic Temple.
Mabel E. Stucky
Bloomville resident
Mabel E. Stucky, 92, of 1980 New Washington Road, Bloomville, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, in Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born Nov. 18, 1907, in Bloom Township, to Albert and Laura (Ohl) Broede. On June 4, 1931, in Chatfield, she married
Elzo Stucky, who died in 1951.
Survivors include: four sons, Dwight, Daryl, and Dale Stucky all of Bloomville and Duane Stucky of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two daughters, Marlene Suter of Bucyrus and Mrs. James (Mardale) Aurand of Bloomville; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; a niece and a sister-in-law.
She also was preceded in death by a grandchild and a sister, Cora Dentinger.
Mrs. Stucky was a member of Baseline St. John's United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Baseline St. John's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Daniel W. Ward officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Bloomville.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville.
