Craig T. Cole
Elks Lodge cook
Craig T. Cole, 47, of 231 E. Lytle St., Fostoria, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
He was born in Fostoria, July 23, 1952, the son of Carl T. and Daisy E. (Culp) Cole. His mother survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include four brothers, Carl L. Cole of Oscoda, Mich., and Curtis K., Chris A. and Clark W. Cole, all of Fostoria.
His father is deceased.
Mr. Cole, a member of the Sportsman Club, was employed as a cook at the Fostoria Elks Lodge, of which he was a member.
Also employed at the United Sportsman of Fostoria, he had formerly worked as a cook in Nashville, Tenn.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Branson J. Hawkes officiating. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Willis J. 'Willie' Frey
Upper Sandusky Resident
Willis J. "Willie" Frey, 62, of 900 Greenbrier Road, Upper Sandusky, died at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, in Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. He was born May 21, 1937, to Albert F. and Viola (Kelbley) Frey, who are deceased. On Oct. 22, 1960, he married
Ruth Ann Reinhart in Fostoria. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Donald L. Frey of Upper Sandusky and Dennis P. Frey, U.S. Army, Fort Campbell, Ky.; three brothers, Richard Frey of Forest, Eugene Frey of Upper Sandusky and James Frey of Galena; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Margie) Bumb of New Riegel and Mrs. Terry (Millie) Hartle of Upper Sandusky; and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were: a daughter, Nancy, who died at birth; and a sister, Mary Ellen White.
Mr. Frey graduated from Forest High School in 1955, he worked for Frey's Hardware in Kirby, and then at Cramer's Plumbing and Heating. He owned and operated Willie's Repair Plumbing and Heating Shop. He had worked in the maintenance department at Guardian Industries for 19 years and retired in 1996. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Upper Sandusky, he enjoyed gardening, wood working and the love of nature, feeding birds, deer, and squirrels.
The Rev. James Holmer will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky. Burial will be at St. Peter's cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. today at the Bringman-Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Biblical Scripture Service will be at 8:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter Endowment Fund; Wyandot Memorial Hospital Coronary Care Unit; and/or Wyandot Co. E.M.S.
Clifford W. Kohlenberg
D & D Produce Market owner
Clifford W. Kohlenberg, 68, of Tiffin Road in Fremont died Thursday evening at Toledo Hospital.
Mr. Kohlenberg was born Sept. 18, 1930, to Charles and Ida (Gerstenberger) Kohlenberg in Bellevue. He married
Otila "Tillie" Garza Sept. 30, 1951, in Republic. She died Jan. 31, 1997. He married
Ruth Woleslagel Ritter Dec. 25, 1997. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Alvin L. of Sandusky, Chalmer of Leroy, Ill., Dalton of Indianapolis and Daniel of Bloomington, Ill.; a daughter, Brenda Miller of Clyde; four stepchildren, Dana Ritter of Circleville, Dave Ritter of Troy, Dawn Burkett of Gahanna and Doreen Brown of Ashtubula; a brother, Walter of Fremont; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne Luis Kohlenberg; brothers Lewis, Ray and Melvin Kohlenberg; and sisters, Mildred Wise and Ivagrace Barber.
Mr. Kohlenberg attended Green Springs High School; served with the Army in the Panama Canal; was a baker with Tony's Bakery in Fremont until his retirement in 1977; owned D & D Produce Market in Clyde and Fremont and D & D Farm Market in Green Springs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Jacob's United Church of Christ in Republic. Military burial will be at St. Jacob's cemetery.
Visitation will be 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary in Fremont.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Dr. Norman C. Krieger
Retired dentist
Dr. Norman C. Krieger, 80, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, in his home at 3386 N. SR 53.
Dr. Krieger was a retired dentist.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 14 at the Presbyterian Church.
The Turner-Engle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Doris Marie Eingle
Former Carey resident
Doris Marie Eingle, 78, formerly of 126 N. Muncie St., Carey, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at Winebrenner Village, Findlay.
She was born April 17, 1921, to David and Lula Mae (Spencer) Edington at Patterson in Hardin County. She was raised by foster parents, William and Bertha Stalder.
On March 21, 1939, she married
Sylvester Charles Eingle. He died June 22, 1989.
Surviving are two sons, David R. of Findlay and Donald W. of Carey; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Edington of Oxford, Pa.
Family members preceding her in death were three brothers, Donald, Merritt and Clyde; and a sister, Mary Ellen Brickner.
She retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Upper Sandusky and was a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carey.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, in the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home in Carey with the Pastor James R. Sharrett officiating followed by burial in the Spring Grove cemetery at Carey.
Visiting hours will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Mission Association.
Willerd H. Rader
Norton Mfg. employee
Willerd H. Rader, 56, of South Adams Street, Fostoria, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug.7, 1999, in Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Fostoria, to the late Willerd D. and Dorothy M. (Tolles) Rader. On April 6, 1984, in Fostoria, he married
Mary M. (Welly) Zickefoos, who survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: a son, James W. Rader of Columbia Station; a daughter, Jennifer A. Rader of Kansas, Ohio; two step-sons, Shannon L. and Jonathon L. Zickefoos, both of Fostoria; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Mr. Rader, a 1960 Fostoria High School graduate, had been employed at the Norton Manufacturing Co. in Fostoria since 1994.
He was a member of the United Sportsmen Club, Eagles and AMVETS.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Edmond Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
William Henry Perkins
Retired press operator
William Henry Perkins, 72, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at his residence on CR 223, Clyde.
He was born in Sawyer, Ky., Feb. 12, 1927, to Henry and Miney Bell (Meadows) Perkins. His wife, Arlie (Perry) Perkins, whom he married
Jan. 13, 1947, survives.
Survivors also include: seven sons, Dennie, Bennie and William Perkins, all of Clyde, Jim Perkins, Joe Perkins of Vickery, Jeff Perkins of Bellevue and John Perkins of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; four daughters, Mrs. Gene (Brenda) Perry of Green Springs, Mrs. Homer (Janice) Taylor of Sawyer, Mrs. Stanley (Nancy) Hill of Parker's Lake, Ky. and Mrs. Joe (Cheryl) Gill of Clyde; 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Roston Perkins of Parkers Lake, Floyd Perkins of Stears, Ky., Lewis Perkins of Pine Knot, Ky. and Gilbert Perkins of Corbin, Ky.; and six sisters, Doris, Peggy and Wilma Dean Perkins, all of Sloans Valley, Ky., Lana Wilson of Whitley City, Ky., Cora Lee Perry of Parkers Lake and Irene Lay of Fostoria.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Vonda Lou Perkins Mathis; a great-grandson, Christopher Eubanks; four brothers, Charlie, Wesley, Earnest and Brent Perkins; and seven sisters, Nanie and Alice Perkins, Lizzie Renfro, Dorie Rains, Lucy Barnett, Amomee Vanover and Elsie Ridner.
Mr. Perkins, who received his education in the McCreary County, Ky. schools, retired in 1975 as a press operator from Whirlpool/Clyde Porcelain Steel, where he had been employed for 24 years.
A World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European Theater, he was a member of the Bellevue Missionary Baptist Church.
The Rev. Roger Rollins and the Rev. Joe Nichols will be the co-officiants at the 1 p.m. Wednesday service in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde. Interment will be in Block cemetery, Seneca County, rural Clyde, where military graveside services will be conducted by Clyde VFW and American Legion Post.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Sandusky County.
Arthur Shellhouse
Seneca County native
Word has been received of the death of Arthur Shellhouse, 81, who died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, in Edgewater, Md., following a six-week illness.
He was born in Seneca County, Sept. 20,1917, to Harvey and Bertha (Meyer) Shellhouse. His wife, the former Mildred Betts, survives in Washington, D.C.
Also surviving are: three sons, Arthur Jr. of Fallston, Md., Charles of Monument, Colo. and Dennis of Huntington, Md.; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Palmer, Mrs. Dorothy Beidelschies and Mrs. Doris Simpson, all of McCutchenville.
Mr. Shellhouse, a graduate of McCutchenville High School, was a painter/contractor working in Washington, D.C. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Services were Monday in Washington, D.C.
Timothy J. Ritter
Self-employed drywall finisher
Timothy J. Ritter, 28, of 445 TH 89, Carey, died early Monday morning, Aug. 9, 1999, in a car/train accident at the CSX railroad crossing on CR 3 in Wyandot County.
He was born in Hancock County, June 15, 1971, the son of Francis M. Ritter and Elizabeth P. (Grose) Leeper. They survive in Carey. He and his wife, Michelle Sterling Ritter, were separated.
Other survivors include: his stepmother, Connie Ritter of Carey; his companion, Harmonie Poe; two sons, Joseph Michael McCartney and John Joezeth Ritter, both at home; paternal grandmother Alda Ritter of Carey; maternal grandfather,William Grose of Carey; two brothers, William Scott Ritter of London, Ohio and Joshua Ritter of Carey; a sister, Lisa Breitigam of Findlay; a half-brother, Travis Ritter of Carey; and two half-sisters, Shawna and Mindy Ritter, both of Carey.
Mr. Ritter, a self-employed drywall finisher, was a member of the New Vision Fellowship, Findlay.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey, with Pastor Shane Helms officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Robert R. Rice
Father of Tiffin resident
Robert R. Rice, 78, formerly of West Center Street, Fostoria, died at 6:19 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at the Independence House in Fostoria.
He was born March 23, 1921 in Elyria to Forest and Ruth (Shriver) Rice.
He married
Marian L. Varsey on Nov. 14, 1941 in Elyria.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Jeffrey R. Rice of Ft. Myers Beach, Fl.; one daughter, Mrs. Dwight (Sandra) Detterman of Tiffin; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Frank Rice of Shreve; and one sister, Mary Garrison of Ashville, NC.
Mr. Rice was a 1940 graduate of Wellington High School; a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II; a life member of DAV; and employed as a Service Technician at Sears with 25 years of service.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at Fountain cemetery in Fostoria with the Rev. Melvin H. Summy officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the Joint Military Service Organizations.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria.

Margie M. Perry
Rural Tiffin homemaker
Margie M. Perry, 75, of 5311 E. CR 16, died at 12 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, in the Ruffing Family Care Center, where she had resided since June 21. She had been a Tiffin area resident for 50 years.
Mrs. Perry was born April 22, 1924, in Hargis, Ky., to Willie and Bessie (Haines) Walker. She married
Preston Perry Aug. 17, 1940, in Whitley, Ky. He died Oct. 26, 1997.
Surviving are three sons, Raymond Kelly Perry of Sycamore, Charles M., Claude E. and Dwight D., all of Tiffin; three daughters, Mrs. James (Daisy) Vaughn of Bloomville; Mrs. Bert (Linda) Messersmith of Tiffin and Mrs. Albert (Lois) McDonald of McCutchenville; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph Walker of Cincinnati, Johnnie Walker of Mason and Paul Walker of Bloomville.
Preceding her in death were a grandchild; a brother, Delbert Walker; and a sister, Edna Vanover.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, all church activities and was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Calvary Baptist Church, with burial in the Pleasant View cemetery at Sycamore.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home.
