Joseph E. Spitler
Resident of Findlay
Joseph E. Spitler, 64, of 1934 Geffs Ave., Findlay, died an accidental death Thursday, July 8, 1999, at the YMCA, Findlay. He was born June 27, 1935, to Van Burtis and Lillian (Alspach) Spitler. Both are deceased. On June 24, 1956, he married
Barbara Tinder. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, John R. Spitler of Charleston, S.C., William B. Spitler and David E. Spitler, both of Findlay; two daughters, Mrs. Andy (Lisa Ann) Wilson of Sumpter, S.C. (Shaw Air Force base), and Mrs. Joey (Susan E.) Conine of Findlay; a sister, Mrs. Allen (Janet) Groman of Lima; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Spitler was property manager at the Findlay YMCA, where he had worked for the past three years. He retired from Eastman-Kodak in 1986 after 30 years of employment. His memberships included: Calvary Baptist Church and its choir; DAV; Findlay Civic Band and Chamber Brass Group; former high school soccer referee; former vice president Ohio Association of Soccer Referees; and currently taught brass instrument private lessons. Mr. Spitler was also the bugler for Buddy Chapter 43, Findlay.
Officiating will be Pastor Gordon Dixon at the 2 p.m. Monday service at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2000 Broad Ave., Findlay. Burial will be at Maple Grove cemetery.
Visitation hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Routson Funeral Chapel, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay.

Sandra K. Krock
Pizza Hut driver
Sandra K. Krock, 40, of 2402 N. TR 165, died at 8:29 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 1999, in the emergency room of Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
She was born Aug. 18, 1958, in Tiffin to Stanley Earl and Josephine (Gillespie) Krock. They are deceased.
Surviving are a half brother, Allen Krock of Marengo; a half sister, Mary Frances Porter of Tiffin; and her boyfriend, Thomas Perkins of Tiffin.
She was a 1977 Columbian High School graduate; a delivery driver for Pizza Hut for five years; attended the First Lutheran Church; a member of the Women of the Moose; and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
The Rev. John S. Ferne will officiate at the funeral at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, with interment in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Nina R. Roseberry
Upper Sandusky resident
Nina R. Roseberry, 94, formerly of 718 Baker Drive, Upper Sandusky, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 1999, at the Wyandot County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Roseberry was born to Edwin M. and Emma (Bonsel) Earp May 30, 1905, in Wyandot County.
She married
Robert P. Roseberry Jan. 20, 1936, in Portland, Ind. He died Feb. 15, 1994.
She is survived by three sisters: Mary Jean Neeland of Findlay, Myrtle Iams of Mt. Gilead and Hazel Stiefel of Upper Sandusky. She was preceded in death by brothers, Noble and Carl; and sisters, Maude, Colesta and Anna.
Mrs. Roseberry was clerk at the Corner News Stand and then at the Stutz News Stand, both in Upper Sandusky. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; Church Hospital Guild; and head of church luncheons for many years.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Charles Steward officiating.
There will be no visiting hours.
Memorials may be made to either the Angeline School of Opportunity or the Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild.

Thomas E. Hayes, 68, of Broadway Street, Fostoria, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at his daughter's home. Arrangements are pending at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.
Anthony J. 'Tony' Kasavage III
Son of area residents/Lakota graduate
Anthony L. "Tony" Kasavage III, 39, of Gahanna, died unexpectedly Friday, July 9, 1999, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Lynn Kasavage; his daughter, Margaret Katherine "Maggie"; two stepsons, Rory Pete and Robbin Charles Wickham; his parents, Margaret and Anthony J. Kasavage Jr. of Fremont; a brother, Phillip J. Kasavage; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Linda M.) Carrol of Pittsburgh and Julee T. Kasavage of Fremont; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mr. Kasavage, a 1978 graduate of Lakota High School, was employed at MI/Schottenstein Homes for three years and formerly an employee of Dominion Homes for seven years.
He attended the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
A volunteer with the National Kidney Foundation and AIDS Service Connection, he was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Gahanna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, with the Rev. Paul A. Noble as celebrant. Interment will be in Mifflin Township cemetery, Gahanna.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road (on SR 51, 1/2 mile from Hamilton Road), Gahanna.
Memorials may be made to the Educational Fund for his daughter Maggie at the Huntington National Bank, Gahanna Branch or in his memory sign and carry an organ donation card.
Ruby G. Yarbrough
Former Zayre's Dept. Store sales manager
Ruby G. Yarbrough, 77, of 15441 Lakeshore Villa Drive 78, Tampa, Fla., died at 6:38 a.m. Friday, July 9, 1999, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born in Shoopman, Ky., Feb. 17, 1922, the daughter of John and Frona (Phipps) Jarboe. On May 5, 1936, in Louella, Ky., she married
John R. Yarbrough, who preceded her in death April 2, 1985.
Survivors include: three sons, Garry R. Yarbrough of Fostoria, John W. Yarbrough of Okeechobee, Fla., and Reginald L. Yarbrough of Sebastopol, Calif.; a sister, Carol Lindsey of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Micah Yarbrough, and a daughter, Ginny Lou Yarbrough.
Mrs. Yarbrough, who had previously lived in Harlan, Ky., and Sebastopol, had been employed as a sales manager for Zayre's Department Store in Tampa.
Services will be in Tampa. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Tampa.
The Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of local arrangements.

Elyssia Rae Garcia
5-month-old infant daughter
Elyssia Rae Garcia, 5 months old, infant daughter of Christopher R. Garcia and Carla A. Feasel of Fostoria, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 1999, in the Toledo Children's Hospital.
She was born Feb. 10, 1999, in Fostoria.
Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, Carl and Doris Feasel of Kansas; maternal great-grandparents, Louis and Lois Feasel, also of Kansas and maternal great-great-grandmother, Helen Yoder of Fostoria; paternal grandparents, Ron and Vicki Cruz of Fostoria and Ray and Barb Garcia of New Riegel; and paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Encarnacion Hernandez Jr. of Fostoria.
Preceding her in death was a sibling, Christopher Ray Hoppe-Garcia.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, is 6-9 p.m. today, where the rosary will be recited this evening.
Memorials may be made to the Pediatric Unit of Toledo Children's Hospital.
Thomas E. Hayes

Thomas E. Hayes, 68, of 634 Broadway St., Fostoria, died at 12:17 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 1999, at his daughter's home in Fostoria.
He was born in Fostoria, Oct. 2, 1930, to the late Harvey E. and Ethel I. (Wagner) Hayes. His wife, Selma (Beers) Hayes, whom he married
July 12, 1955, in Fostoria, preceded him in death in 1972.
Survivors include: a son, Kurt D. Hayes of Fostoria; a daughter, Tomette E. Yates, also of Fostoria; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Jane SanGregory of Tiffin.
Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Patricia Bame and Betty Clark.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Hayes retired from the Allied-Signal in Fostoria after more than 30 years of employment.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 935, the American Legion and VFW, and a former memberof Eagles and and the Fostoria United Sportsman Club, all of Fostoria.
Services in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia, where military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where Elks Memorial services will be at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Seneca County.
Charles K. Perrin
Retired Dodge Dealer co-owner
Charles K. Perrin, 75, of 805 W. Perry St., Bucyrus, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 1999, in MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield.
He was born April 5, 1924, in Cardington, to James E. and Edna Marie (Weaver) Perrin.. On Jan. 16, 1946, he married
Elta M. Keiser, who survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ronald L. Perrin of Bucyrus; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth W. (Nancy M.) Zellner of Bucyrus; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Perrin of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four half-brothers and three half-sisters.
A sister, Dorothy Perron, three half-sisters, a half-brother and his step-mother, Hulda D. Walter Perrin, also are deceased.
Mr. Perron, who had attended Edison School, worked for Sipes Automotive, J.F. Huggins Ford and Huggins-Wingate Ford. In 1963 he opened his own business with G.W. (Bill) Studer, Studer-Perrin Dodge, until 1994, when he retired.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 3519th Ordinance Medium Automotive Maintenance Co. as a sergeant 1942-45. He saw duty in Normandy, France, Rineland, Germany and the Ardennes in Belgium. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and received the Good Conduct Medal, four Bronze Stars, the American Theater Service Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Bucyrus; the former Northern Ohio Dodge Dealers, the Bucyrus Elks Lodge 156 and Colonel Crawford Post 181, American Legion. He was a former member of the Bucyrus Country Club and the Monday Night Businessmen's Bowling League.
The Rev. Benjamin J. Black III will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday service in the Wise Funeral Home, Bucyrus. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
Sallie L. Ritchie
Beauty Shop owner/operator
Sallie L. Ritchie, 88, a resident of the Autumnwood Care Center, SR 18, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 1999, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born July 15, 1910, in Timberville, Va., to Charles and Frances (Fitzwater) Estep. On Dec. 7, 1926, in Hagerstown, Md., she married
David W. Ritchie, who survives at the Autumnwood Care Center.
Survivors also include: a son, David W. Ritchie Jr. of Melmore; and a granddaughter, Dr. Misty K. (Ritchie) Morano of Charlotte, N.C.
An infant daughter, Virginia Ritchie; two sisters, Odessa Spitzer and Ticie Gooding; and two half-sisters, Grace Andes and Emma Udell, are deceased.
A member of the Second Reform Church, she owned and operated Sally's Beauty Shops in Tiffin and Bloomville.
She also was a member of the D of A in Bloomville.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Arthur Geyh officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery, Sycamore.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Autumnwood Care Center.
Eddie Jackson
Retired G.E. employee
Eddie Jackson, 70, died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at his residence at 43 Goodsell St.
He was born in Cave City, Ky., June 29, 1929, to Eddie and Carrie (Harlow) Jackson Sr.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Carol) Ison of Republic, six nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces and five great-nephews.
A sister, Maydell Halcomb and an infant child, are deceased.
Mr. Jackson, who attended Washington Street United Methodist Church, retired as an assembler from the General Electric.
He enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening.
The Rev. Larry Smith will preside at the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. Interment will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Thomas Anthony De Monte
Former Tiffin resident
Thomas Anthony De Monte, 52, of Huber Heights, died Monday, July 12, 1999, in the Franciscan Medical Center, Dayton.
He was born in Tiffin July 14, 1946, to the late Louis J. and Norma (Hoffman) De Monte.
Survivors include: a son, Wayne De Monte of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Timothy and Edward De Monte, both of Tiffin; three sisters, Gini Adams of Columbus, Mrs. Walt (Jane) Roth of Arlington, Texas, and Mrs. Steve (Denise) Reinbolt of Tiffin; 20 nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren.
Mr. De Monte, a 1964 graduate of Calvert High School and a 1968 graduate of Tiffin University, was employed as an accountant.
A U.S. Army veteran, having served in Panama, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Troy American Legion.
He also enjoyed golfing and belonged to various softball leagues.
A funeral Mass in St. Mary's Catholic Church will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. William Rose as celebrant. The rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council..
Visitation in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, where a wake service will be at 8:45 p.m.
