Louis Smith, 78, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Bascom, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999. He married
Anna Marie Smith. She survives.
Also surviving are: 12 children; a brother, Howard Smith; 29 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Smith was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Post.
Services were Thursday in Mesa. Burial was with Mesa Funeral Care at Mariposa Gardens, Ariz.

Dominic Michael Feltner
Stillborn son
Dominic Michael Feltner died at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Mercy Hospital, Tiffin. He was the stillborn son of David Feltner and Ann Marie Rivas, 154 S. Sandusky St.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three brothers: Jacob, Brooke and Ryan Rivas, all of Portland, Ore.; grandparents, David Feltner of Sandusky and Mrs. Robert (LaVonne) Weinhardt, Tiffin; and great-grandparent, Mrs. Rolland (Betty) Hemmer of Sandusky.
The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The Rev. Frank A. Murd will officiate at the graveside service at 11 a.m. today. Burial will be in the St. Mary cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Kathryn F. McIntire
Retired Fostoria teacher
Kathryn F. McIntire, 92, Fostoria, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 1999, at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born to Carryl L. and Ada V. (Peckham) Lenhart, Feb. 4, 1907, in Fort Wayne, Ind. In 1947 she married
Robert H. McIntire. They were divorced.
She is survived by several cousins.
After graduating from Monroeville, Indiana, High School in 1923, she received a B.A. degree from Wittenberg College in Springfield in 1928 and completed some post graduate work at Bowling Green State University.
Mrs. McIntire was a school teacher in Indiana, Springfield, Ohio, and the Fostoria City School system. She retired June 1, 1971, after 38 years as a teacher.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, AARP, and a former member of the Fostoria Education Association.
The Rev. Todd Wetzel will officiate at the funeral at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Monroeville Memorial cemetery, Monroeville, Ind.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Community Hospice of Seneca County, or the First Presbyterial Church, Fostoria.

Irvin Charles Riegel
Electrician/farmer
Irvin Charles Riegel, 74, of East TR 178, Green Springs, died in the Bellevue Hospital, Saturday, April 24, 1999.
He was born in Clyde, Aug. 3, 1924, to John and Bernice (Gemberling) Riegel. On March 20, 1949, he married
Donna Lou Westfall, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dennis and Daniel Riegel, both of Green Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Virginia) Andrews and Mrs. Patrick (Kay) Alt, both of Green Springs; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. John (Evelyn) Hoover of Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Dale (Thelma) Girton of Upper Arlington and Mrs. Tom (Arlene) Johnson of Wilmore, Ky.; and three brothers, Carl Riegel of Clyde, Paul Riegel of Toledo and Floyd Riegel of Durango, Colo.
Mr. Riegel, a farmer and long-time Green Springs area resident, also was an electrician for Irvin Riegel Electric. He also worked as a bus driver for the Thompson and Bellevue schools.
A 1942 graduate of York High School, he was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau and Farm Council and a former member of Thompson Ruritan.
The Rev. David Vensel will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday service in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Lay-Butternut Ridge cemetery.
Visitation at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday.

Harold D. Seel
Union Carbide retiree
Harold D. Seel, 73, of 617 N. Union St., Fostoria, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 1999, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Feb. 14, 1926, in Fostoria, the son of Monroe W. and Ethel E. (Rose) Seel. His first wife, Mildred L. Kuntz, whom he married
June 18, 1949, in Fostoria, died June 3, 1983. He later married
Mary Jo Runion, May 31, 1990, in Toledo. She survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: a daughter, Mrs. James (Sue) Miller of Upper Sandusky; a son, Lawrence "Mike" Seel of Findlay; three brothers, Bernard M. Seel of Fostoria and Daniel R. and Herman P. Seel, both of Kissimmee, Fla.; a step-son, Rex L. Runion of Tiffin; and two step-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Vernon and Norman Seel.
Mr. Seel, who attended St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, retired in 1988, from the Union Carbide, Fostoria, where he had been employed for 34 years.
Services in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 7-9 p.m. Monday.

Emmet Thomas Sheeran, M.D., 75, of 911 Van Buren St., Fostoria, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home. Arrangements are pending at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Emmet Thomas Sheeran M.D., 75, died at 4 p.m. Saturday April 24, 1999, at his home at 911 Van Buren St., Fostoria.
He was born in Fostoria, June 6, 1923, to Emmet P. and Louise M. (Schomaeker) Sheeran. On Dec. 29, 1945, in St. Henry's Catholic Church, Chicago, Ill., he married
Janet M. Wade, who preceded him in death June 15, 1991. He later married
Irene Wurst-Anderson on July 25, 1994, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gatlinburg, Tenn. She survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael A. Sheeran of Bryan and Emmet T. Sheeran Jr. of Fostoria; three daughters, Mary Ann Flynn of Honesdale, Pa., Kathryn L. Brown of Peachtree City, Ga. and Nancy M. Dana of Columbus; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandson; two step-sons, Mike Anderson of Memphis, Tenn. and Rob Anderson of Shaker Heights; a step-daughter, Lisa Anderson of Dayton; three step-grandsons; and two brothers, Harold W. Sheeran of Cheney, Wash. and Thomas A. Sheeran of Miami, Fla.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Patrick J. Sheeran.
A 1941 graduate of St. Wendelin High School,. Dr. Sheeran received his pre-med degree from the University of Notre Dame; graduated in 1948 from Loyola University of Chicago Medical School and completed his surgical residency at Case Western in 1957.
A retired general surgeon, he formerly was the chief of resident staff at Lakewood Hospital and former chief of staff at the Fostoria City Hospital.
A captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves during World War II. He also was an award winning photographer and poet.
Dr. Sheeran was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and its former Holy Name Society. He also was a member of the Fellow American College of Surgeons 1959, Christian Family Movement, Fostoria Right to Life, Fostoria University Club, where he served as past president and was a graduate member; Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Council 1197 and 4th Degree Assembly 845, Fostoria; Fostoria Country Club and the Seneca County Medical Society, where he had served as past president.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where the Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today and 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where the Rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. Fourth Degree Honor guard will take place 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Wendelin Parish and Community Hospice, Care, Seneca County.
Columbus L. Brown
Union Carbide Corp. retiree
Columbus L. Brown, 83, of Sandusky Street, Fostoria, died in the Fostoria Community Hospital at 8:56 p.m. Saturday April 24, 1999.
He was born May 5, 1915, in Prestonburg, Ky., to Gorge and Anna M. (Prater) Brown. His wife, Reva A. (May) Brown, whom he married
July 18, 1936, in Fostoria, survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: four sons, Robert Brown of Arcadia, Charles Brown of Fostoria, Melvin Brown of Charleston, S.C. and Rick Brown, also of Arcadia; five daughters, Mrs. Tom (Ruth) Prater of Findlay, Mrs. Ed (Nora) Smarr of Fostoria, Mrs. Daniel (Carolyn) Rice of Nappanee, Ind., Mrs. Wayne (Marsha) Schlosser of Fremont and Cindy Fry of Fostoria; a brother, Jessie Brown of Fostoria; 27 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Marcella Barnett and Cage Risner, are deceased.
Mr. Brown retired from the Union Carbide Corp. (now National Electrical Carbon Corp.), Fostoria, in 1978, after 24 years of employment.
The Rev. Robert Chew will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Ida M. Hemminger

Ida M. Hemminger, 93, a resident of Elmwood Assisted Living, Green Springs, since October 1998, died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday April 25, 1999, in Fremont Memorial Hospital, minutes after arrival.
She was born in Townsend Township, Sandusky County, April 25, 1906, to Lewis and Irene (Levisee) Britenburg. On Nov. 7, 1925, in Green Springs, she married
Max L. Hemminger, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Lyman H. Hemminger of rural Tiffin; a daughter, Laura J. Hasselbach of Green Springs; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Lewis C. Hemminger; a daughter, Colleen M. Hemminger; and a sister, Gladys B. Straub, also are deceased.
Mrs. Hemminger, a homemaker, was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Green Springs, its United Methodist Women and the Green Springs Garden Club.
Formerly of 208 E. Adams St., Green Springs, she was a 1924 graduate of Green Springs High School.
Services in the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Lori Burdette-Steele officiating. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Michelle L. Craley, 25, of West U.S. 224, Alvada, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday April 25, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 19, 1973, in Tiffin, to Phillip L. and Christine S. (Lynch) Craley. They survive in Alvada. She had never married
.
Other survivors include: two brothers, James Craley of Cincinnati and Jeremiah Craley of Alvada; four sisters, Millisa Craley of Fostoria and Joy, Sarah and Debbie Craley, all of Alvada; paternal grandfather, George Craley of Fostoria; and maternal grandparents, Jack and Betty Lynch, also of Fostoria.
Her paternal grandmother, Edna Craley, is deceased.
Miss Craley attended the School of Opportunity in Tiffin until 1992 and also attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Fostoria.
Services in the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Fostoria, corner of West Fourth and South Wood Street) will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Wesley J. Hunting officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery, West Independence.
Visitation at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
