C. Dale Snyder
Retired self-employed farmer
C. Dale Snyder, 92, of West SR 12, Fostoria, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 1999, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
He was born in Risingsun, Sept. 26, 1907, to Ora and Ada (Boyd) Snyder. In February 1929, in Indiana, he married
Leola Grace Grant, who died May 2, 1998.
Survivors include: a son, Jim Snyder of Fostoria, five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were six brothers, Orie, Dee, Bill, Lyle, Buck and Max Snyder; and two sisters, Bessie Ecker and Dora Kissling.
Mr. Snyder retired in 1973 as a self-employed farmer and the former owner and operator of the Kwik Shake Restaurant in Fostoria.
A 1926 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School, he was a former member of the Jackson Township Grange.
The Rev. Ruth Solo will be the officiant at the 1:30 p.m. Thursday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran cemetery, rural Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Seneca County.
Carolyn L. Wagner
General Dynamics retiree/homemaker
Carolyn L. Wagner, 68, of North Union Street, Fostoria, died at 3:35 a.m.Monday, March 8, 1999, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
She was born in Fostoria, June 11, 1930, to the late Gilbert and Leona (Koepfer) Reinhart. On Sept. 6, 1952, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, she married
Paul W. Wagner, who survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: a son, Charles W. Wagner of Spencerville; three daughters, Mrs. T.J. (Ann) Sacksteder and Mrs. Reggie (Jane) Scifers, both of Fostoria and Mrs. Michael (Marty) Morehouse of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Lois Roth of Hoffmann Estates, Ill. and Mrs. Dennis (Sandra) Kitchen of Troy, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren.
A brother, Wayne G. Reinhart, is deceased.
Mrs. Wagner, a homemaker, retired in 1986 from the engineering department of General Dynamics in Lima.
A 1948 graduate of St. Wendelin High School, where was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society, the Circle of Mercy, Daughters of Isabella and the K of C Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a former member of the church choir and the Glass City Chapter of Sweet Adelines and had served as a former Camp Fire leader.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Rosary conducted by the Circle of Mercy of the church will be at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Wendelin Education Foundation.
Donald E. Schwochow
Farrell Cheek Steel Co. retiree
Donald E. Schwochow, 66, of E. TR 124, Republic, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in Providence Hospital, Sandusky.
He was born May 15, 1932, in Castalia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ervin (Harriet Meggitt) Schwochow. On Feb. 25, 1958, he married
Rosalee Alice Forwalder, who survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Tim (Cheryl) Beck of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Ron (Diane) Nickler of Republic and Mrs. Don (Margie) Charlton of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mary Hacker of California; and his step-mother, Dorothy Schwochow of Republic.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Darwin Schwochow and Robert and Vernon Chill.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Schwochow retired in 1970 as a tow motor operator from Farrell Cheek Steel in Sandusky.
He was a member of the Pillar of Faith Church, Tiffin, where he served as a board member.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Piller of Faith Church. Burial will be in Sts Peter and Paul cemetery, Attica.
Friends will be received at the church noon-8 p.m. Thursday.

Rose Mary Wright
Former homemaker/secretary
Rose Mary Wright, 89, of E. TR 128, Republic, died in the Arbors of Clyde, Monday, March 8, 1999.
She was born in Erie County, May 4, 1909, the daughter of Samuel and Lillian (Meinke) Davlin. Her husband, Howard V. Wright, whom she married
Sept. 18, 1939, died April 15, 1996.
Survivors include: a son, Nelson E. Wright of Clyde; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (Sharon) Joreski of Samson, Ala.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eva Heckelman of Berlin Heights and Esther McGhees of Huron.
A brother, Sammie Davlin and a sister, Alverna Wright, also are deceased.
Mrs. Wright, a homemaker, also had been employed at the Sandusky Crayon Co. as a secretary.
There will be no services. The Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Nicholas L. Opincar
Tool/die maker/roof crew leader
Nicholas L. Opincar, 54, of Marblehead, formerly of the Cleveland area, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 19, 1944, in Cleveland, to Nicholas and Virginia (Ardelean) Opincar. His mother survives in Fairview. His wife, Janett (Schubach) St. Clair-Opincar, whom he married
Oct. 11, 1997, also survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Jeffrey and Scott Opincar and a daughter, Kerri Opincar, all of Brookpark; a step-son, Robert Driscoll of Export, Pa.;two step-daughters, Mrs. Rhonda Graw of Export and Mrs. Cheryl Snover of Charleston, W.Va.; a brother, David Opincar of Parma; three granddaughters and two nephews.
His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Opincar, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, where he served in the 101st Airborne, was employed as a roof crew leader for Phinney Roofing Inc., Huron. Prior to that he was a tool and die maker for 25 years with National ACME in Cleveland.
He served as past commander and vice commander of the Marblehead VFW Post 7572 and was a member of the Port Clinton Power Squardon and the Romanian Orthodox Church, Cleveland.
The Rev. Neil Roller will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday service in the Neidecker-LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where VFW military services will be conducted.
Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will be in attendance 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Marblehead VFW Post 7572 will conduct memorial services at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by the Port Clinton Power Squadron service at 7 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home also will be 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.

Emma D. Henry
G.E. retiree
Emma D. Henry, 91, 2337 S. SR 53, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in the Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky.
She was born Sept. 15, 1907, in Findlay, to Jesse and Anna (Mills) Worley. On June 7, 1926, in North Baltimore, she married
Robert C. Henry, who preceded her in death May 11, 1985.
Surviving are a son, Jan (Beverly) Henry of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Nina Oeder; three brothers, Lennis, Arthur and Harold Worley; three sisters, Wynema Dewalt, Pauline I. Arrow and Margaret Minks; and a great-grandson, Austin J. Henry.
A graduate of Fostoria High School, Mrs. Henry retired as a winder from the General Electric Co. Prior to that she had worked at Keppel's Greenhouse.
Private graveside services will be Saturday in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation for the family also will be private at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, who are in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Ray W. Heller
Retired auto mechanic
Ray W. Heller, 62, of 5400 Madison St., Harpster, died at 7:40 a.m. Monday, March 8, 1999, in the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.
He was born Nov. 16, 1936, to the late Henry and Opal (Carter) Heller.
Survivors include a son, Ray Heller Jr. of Bucyrus; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Deborah) Brown of Harpster; nine grandchildren; a sister, Zelma Throckmorton of Marion; and a brother, Harold Heller.
A U.S. Army veteran, having served until 1966, Mr. Heller was a retired auto mechanic.
Memorial services will be at a later date. The Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy L. Marks
Bucyrus homemaker/Republic native
Dorothy L. Marks, 94, of 1630 E. Southern, Bucyrus, died in the Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Bucyrus, at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 1999.
She was born in Republic, Oct. 2, 1904, the daughter of Loren and Lola (Miller) Hoffert. Her husband, Clarence N. Marks, whom she married
May 12, 1926, died April 16, 1986.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Evelyn) Marks of Bloomville; three grandchildren, Nick Marks of Texas, Jeff Marks of Bucyrus and Linda Staiger of Galion; and six great-grandchildren.
A sister, Evelyn Rosenberger, also is deceased.
Mrs. Marks, a homemaker, had lived in the Bucyrus area since 1929. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dennis Schroeder as celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the Wise Funeral Home, Bucyrus, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Robert L. Nickloy, 71, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at his residence at 208 E. Euclid St., Green Springs. Arrangements are pending at the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs.
Cora V. Kokoris
Former Kansas/Woodville resident
Cora V. Kokoris, 84, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in the Quality Care Nursing Home, Fremont, where she resided.
She was born Dec. 19, 1914.
A son, Anthony Kokoris and a daughter, Pamela J. Baker, both of Kansas, Ohio; and a grandson, survive.
Mrs. Kokoris was formerly of Kansas and Woodville, before entering the nursing home.
There will be no services or visitation. The Turner-Engle Funeralhome is in charge of arrangements.
Robert L. Nickloy
Retired Eckrich employee
Robert L. Nickloy, 71, of 208 East Euclid St., Green Springs, died Wednesday, March 10,1999. He was born in Fremont to Howard and Bertha (Monfort) Nickloy. On June 25, 1948 he married
Genevieve Hammer, she preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Steven Nickloy of Port Clinton, and Gary Nickloy of Rockledge, FL.; a daughter, Joanne Bennett of Green Springs; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Preceded in death were: his parents; and two brothers, James and Jack Nickloy.
Mr. Nickloy attended Fremont schools. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the European Theatre. A member of the Green Springs United Methodist Church, VFW-Rodger Young Post, and the Green Springs American Legion.
The Rev. James Scott will officiate the 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 1999 service at the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs. Burial will be at Green Sprngs cemetery. A Memorial Military Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., tonight at the funeral home. Military Graveside service will be conducted by the United Vetrans Council.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., tonight at the funeral home.

Marlowe W. "Jake" Kenner

Marlowe W. "Jake" Kenner, 85, formerly of 1521 N. Countyline Rd, recently of 25 Christopher Drive, Fostoria, died at 5:06 a.m., Thursday, March 11, 1999 at St. Catherine's care Center. He was born Oct. 29, 1913 to Lloyd G. and Ida May (Swartz) Kenner. He married
Carolyn S. (Reinhard) Sept. 1, 1938 in Covington, KY, she died April 20, 1965. On April 10, 1968 he married
Dora Croninger in Delaware, Ohio, she preceded him in death July 28, 1979.
Survivors include: a son, Virlyn Kenner of Wyandot, OH.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Mitchem, and Mrs. James (Mary Lou) Stewart, both of Fostoria; two sisters, Erlene Navarro of Sycamore, and Katherine Kenner of Fostoria; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death were: his parents; wife; and a brother, Charles Kenner.
Mr. Kenner was a 1934 graduate of McCutchenville High School. He worked as a mechanic for 20 years at McDonald's Shell in Fostoria, and attended the Lutheran Church in Fostoria.
The Rev. Richard Hofmann will officiate the 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 15, 1999 service at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation hours are 2-6 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 1999 at the funeral home.
