He was a 1994 graduate of Teays Valley High School and worked for Greenlawn Mobile Homes for 9 years. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Doris Lemaster and Clara White and niece Emily Marie Conner. He is survived by his parents, Tony and Nancy White; sisters, Tracy (Jamie) Hunt and Carla (Mike) Stacy of Ashville and Kelly (Danny) Conner of Thornville; grandparents, Ora "Jim" Lemaster of Ashville, William and Barb White of Amanda; special uncle and friend, Dan Lemaster of Ashville; several aunts, uncles, cousins; nephews, Michael Hunt, Aaron Stacy and Allen Conner; nieces, Leslie and MacKenzie Hunt, Kendall Stacy and Nettie Conner. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2002 at the WELLMAN FUNERAL HOME, Ashville with Pastor Richard Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. cemetery. WHITESIDE Howard W. "Skip" Whiteside Jr., 45, of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Worthington, died August 11, 2002 unexpectedly. He is survived by daughters, Wynter and Stella Whiteside, both of Worthington; mother, June Whiteside of Mt. Sterling; sisters, Louanne, Connie and Terry; brother, David; half-brother and half-sisters; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2002 at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the burial following in Dennison Chapel cemetery. Family will receive friends beginning 12noon until time of service.

WOODWARD Roger K. Woodward, age 45, of Columbus, August 12, 2002 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. ZIEGLE Carrie Francis Horseman Ziegle, 92, of Marion, Oh., formerly of Columbus, Oh., died 1 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2002 at Marion Manor Nursing Home. Retired Private and General Duty Nurse. Preceded in death by husband Robert Andrew Ziegle, parents Miles Arthur Horseman and Mary Magdelean Francis, step-son James Ziegle, 1 grandson, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Survived by step-son, Gary Ziegle of Columbus, Oh.; daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Cranmer of Marion, Oh.; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews. AGIN John R. Agin, 79, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Westerville, Oh., died Monday, August 19, 2002 in Palm Harbor, Fla. Born in St. Clairsville, Oh., he moved to Fla. from Westerville in 1994. He worked at the Defense Construction Supply Center as a Program Manager for the Defense Department. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he was a U.S. Army Infantry Veteran and served during WW II. Member of the First United Methodist Church of Safety Harbor, Fla., O.S.U. Alumni Association and the 78th Division Veterans Association. Survived by wife of 15 years, Barbara; son, Richard, Blacklick, Oh.; step-daughters, Kathy (Bill) Crumley, Clearwater, Fla., Peggy (Steve) Massuros, Westerville, Oh., Betty (Chris) Swartzel, Delaware, Oh., Pam (Steve) Shumate, Cartersville, Ga.; sister, Dorothy Phillips, Bay Village, Oh.; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons. Memorial service will be held at SYLVAN ABBEY FUNERAL HOME, Clearwater, Fla., 727-796-1992, on Friday, August 23, 2002 at 2 p.m. with burial at a later date in Westerville, Oh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital, Tampa or to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.

BALSER (WEISENT) Mary A. (Weisent) Balser, 83, of Columbus, died Sunday, August 18, 2002 at St. Ann's Hospital. A resident of Friendship Village of Columbus, she was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Assumption Council 3237, Columbus, Maennchor Damen Sektion, the Pilot Dogs, the 1918 Club, Mello-Naires and an associate with Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry "Bud" Balser, parents Oliver and Margaret Weisent. Survived by brother, Charles (Janet) Weisent; brother-in-law, Bob (Edie) Balser; sisters-in-law, Ruth Balser, Mary Alice (Ben) Ritenour and Maxine (Glen) Stout; many nieces, nephews and close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Rd. Fr. James T. Smith, Celebrant. BEACHY Andrew V. Beachy, 78, of Mt. Perry, died Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Andrew was born April 23, 1924 in Charm, Oh., the son of the late Valentine B. and Elizabeth Erb Beachy. He was a member of Mt. Perry Presbyterian Church, a WW II Navy Veteran, a member of the Southgate Potter Lodge #782 in Canal Winchester and the O.E.S. at Lithopolis, and a member of Teamsters Union. Andrew was a truck driver and farmer. He is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his first wife Elsie Mae Yoder Beachy (1982) and a sister Fanny Miller. Surviving are his second wife, Suzanne P. Beachy; 2 sons, Charles A. Beachy of Cleveland and Glenn A. Beachy of Columbus; 3 grandchildren, Katherine Jane, D.V.M. and husband, Kevin Witriol of Greensboro, N.C., William A. Beachy of Cleveland and Michael G. Beachy of Columbus; 2 step-daughters, Deborah (James) Livingston and Christine (Timothy) Caldwell; a step-son, Michael (Kathy) Paul; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ben V. Beachy and Atlee Beachy; 2 sisters, Katie Marner and Mary Ann Wolfer. BISHOP William "Billy" Bishop, age 47, formerly of Ft. Worth, Tex., passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by father William J. Bishop. Survived by mother, Delana "Sis" Nielsen of Treasure Island, Fla.; son, Jason Bishop (Lisa) of Ft. Worth, Tex.; daughter, Ashley; sister, Cindy Blake (Joe) of Powell; several grandchildren. CARTER Elder Creal Sinclair Carter, age 90, Friday, August 16, 2002 at the Grant Medical Center. he was born April 12, 1912 to Robert Tecumseh and Ida Pepper Carter in Hopkinsville, KY. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1945. He was the Pastor of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and also served as the District Superintendent of the Columbus District appointed by Bishop Shelton. In addition he was employed by North American Aviation and Barneby Chaney. Preceded in death by his brothers Walter, Eufala and William and son Robert Carter. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorine; daughter, Lorraine Carter of Peoria, IL.; sisters-in-law, Rose Alexander of Columbus, OH. and Elizabeth (Isaac) Henderson of Miami, FL.; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Ethel) Cooper of N.Y., N.Y. and Robert Cooper of Columbus, OH.; granddaughter, Sherry Lorraine Allen; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends; special nephews, Isaac Henderson and Raymond Alexander, Jr. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002 at the chapel of C.D. COLDIRON Della Mae Coldiron, 69, of Grove City, Oh., formerly of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Sunday, August 18, 2002. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the REGER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Huntington, W.Va. by the Rev. Curtis Booth. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. She was born February 9, 1933 in Lincoln County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Arnold and Ocie Anna Adkins Bias. She was a homemaker and a member of the Glorious Church of God, Prichard, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Mason Moore, her second husband James H. Coldiron and a brother Garfield Bias. Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, James Herman and Marsha Moore of Pickerington, Oh., Mason "Bobby" and Terry Moore of Hilliard, Oh.; 4 grandchildren, Ocie (Ann), Charles (Buddy), Dianne and James; 9 great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jeffrey, McKinsey, Kennedy, Coty, Casey, Riayn, Jesse and Tyler; 1 great-great-grandson, Logan; 4 brothers, Arnold "Junior" Bias, Lemach "Buck" Bias and Dorsey L. Bias, all of Huntington, W.Va. and Dewey A. Bias of Prichard, W.Va.; 4 sisters, Mazie Plybon of Prichard, W.Va., Mary Pennington of Memphis, Tenn., Oma Smith and Joyce Ellis, both of Huntington, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. CUNNINGHAM Sharon A. Cunningham, age 44, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2002 as the result of an automobile accident. She was an associate of Meijer. Survived by her sons, Jeffrey, Jordan and Charles Cunningham; brother, James J. GOODRICH William H. "Bill" Goodrich, age 69, Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Doctors Hospital West. Bill worked for Gilbert Shoes and as a greeter at Waffle House. He was a member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church where he belonged to the choir and Tuesday Men's Breakfast Club. Member of Knights of Pythias, Westland Senior Citizens and the Alzheimer's Support Group. Volunteer at the Hocking Valley Railroad and he enjoyed singing in barbershop quartet. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Maxine; daughter, Barbara (Scott) Warner; grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah and Benjamin; brother, Robert (Hazel) Goodrich; and mother-in-law, Naomi Rees of Marysville; other relatives and friends. Memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2002 at Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, 91 Sturbridge Ave. Rev. A. Gail Sims officiating. GRAY Bessie McIe Gray, age 87, of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Mount Carmel Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born February 28, 1915 in Salem, WV the daughter of Lihue and Martha McIe. She graduated from Salem College, Salem, WV, Class of 1939, and worked as an elementary school teacher until her retirement in 1970. She was a longtime member of Mountview Baptist Church and recently joined Big Darby Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Gray, in 1997; two infant children, two sisters and three brothers. Bessie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Randolph Wiseman of Plain City, OH; grandson, Michael Wiseman of St. Paul, MN; and two-week old great-granddaughter, Samantha Renee Wiseman. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2002. Rev. HAIGNERE Barbara Jean Haignere (White), 62, of Columbus, Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Retired from Civil Service U.S. Government after more than 30 years. She was a generous and loving person and enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by her family and many friends. Preceded in death by her mother Marjorie. Survived by her son, Mark (Rebecca) White; father, John Haignere; sister, Suzy Coe; and brother, John (Leslie) Haignere; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
