RUNION Charles Runion, age 85, of Columbus died June 14, 2002 at home. U.S. Navy Veteran WWII. Retired from City of Columbus, Division of Engineering and Construction, after 25 years of service. Member of Southside FOE No. 2244 and VFW Post No. 3424. Preceded in death by wife Leona Runion, daughter Betty Charlene, and son Cecil Runion. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Karen Louise and Jay Wilson of Orient, Ohio; grandchildren, Tonia and Steve Carrizales, Tracy and Ray Combs, Matthew and Angela Wolfe, Jodi and Gary Wolfe; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The Family wishes to thank June and Tony Rasnick, Kay Runyon and Danny Stephens for their special care to our father. SCHOOLEY Orland W. Schooley, age 74, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at Doctors Hospital West. Veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps. Retired iron worker and member of Local 172. He was a 50-year Mason, member of Capital City Lodge #656 F&AM. Also a long-time member of VFW Post 3424. Survived by aunt, Betty J. Schooley; cousins, Howard and Ruth Schooley, Margaret "Peggy" Stegmier, Carl and Donna Clark, Kenneth and Theresa Schooley, Donald and Rita Schooley, Ronald and Sally Schooley, Paula and Bruce Bowman; many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends at COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME 1631 Parsons Ave. on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until time of services, which begin with a Masonic Service at 7:30 followed by his funeral service and military honors. Dr. William L. Snider officiating. Burial later in Union cemetery.

STEINMETZ Ethel L. Steinmetz, age 92 of Lebanon, longtime resident of Westerville, Saturday, June 15, 2002 at Otterbein Home, Lebanon. Preceded in death by husband Lewis and grandson Lewis Tyler Steinmetz. Survived by son, Lewis (Sandy) Steinmetz, Florida; daughter, Lydia (Michael) Hershey, Bellevue; granddaughters, Michele (Mark) McConnell and Renee (Jeromie) Marshall; great-grandchildren, Drew and Devin Marshall; nieces and nephews. Private memorial service followed by visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2002 at Otterbein-Lebanon Chapel, Lebanon, Ohio. STEVENS Violet Stevens, 75 of Circleville passed away into eternal life with the peace of Christ on Friday, June 14, 2002 at her residence. Born April 30, 1927 in Pickaway County the daughter of the late Isaac and Phoebe (Sparks) Hamilton. Mrs. Stevens was a member of the St. Josephs Catholic Church and the Alter Society. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Stanley; children Michael (Kathy) Stevens of Fishers, Indiana, Chuck Stevens of Westerville, Tereasa (Dan) Filipski of Columbus, Lisa (Jeff) Stevens of Columbus and John (Carla) Stevens of Westerville; grandchildren Jeff and Laurie, Doug, Liz and Kelly, Bud and Traccy, Megan and Natalie; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Hazel Woodward, Daisy Brintlinger, both of Circleville, Bernice Redman of Newark and Rosie Winegardner of South Carolina; brothers Paul (Nancy) Hamilton, Denny (Nancy) Hamilton, Ronald Hamilton, all of Circleville, Ralph Hamilton of Adelphi and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by a sister Mary, and brothers Roy, Ray, Kenneth and Howard Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday June 18, 2002 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Stephen Krile, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Josephs cemetery. STOKES Kenneth Stokes Sr., age 72, left the worries of the world for eternal life with God on Wednesday, June 12, 2002. Preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Stokes, parents Samuel and Elizabeth Stokes, sister Mary Russell. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kimberly (Maurice) Clemmons, Karmel (Lionel) Hamilton, Kenneth Stokes, Jr., Keven (Ernestine) Stokes, Kandice (Michael) Johnson and Kenny (Sharon) Purnell; sisters, Louise (Raymond) Thomas and Charlene (Larry) Hutson; brother-in-law, Luther Russel; loving and devoted companion, Laverne Perry; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral 12noon Monday, June 17, 2002 at the chapel of C.D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave. Rev. Louise Thomas, Officiant. STURGEON Jason M. Sturgeon, age 18, of Grove City, died Thursday, June 13, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident. He was a 2001 graduate of Grove City High School and Hayes Technical and was currently attending Columbus State Community College. Jason was born August 19, 1983. He loved spending time with family and his friends. Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather Albert B. French. Jason will be deeply missed by loving and devoted mother, Vicki Sturgeon (Jeff Mayer); sisters, Mindy and Paige Sturgeon; niece, Reece Chesser; grandmother, Deloris French; aunts, Paula (Ralph) Wilkins, Caren (Joe) Walkup, Patricia French and Janice (Joe) Astolfi; cousins, Christine, Angela, Bryon, Samantha, Kaylee and Wesley; girlfriend, Daphne Hazel; and special friends, Nick and Ryan; in addition to numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and acquaintances. Also survived by father, Greg Sturgeon and family. Just when his days seemed brightest, just when his hopes seemed best, God called him from amongst us to his eternal rest. Dear God, wilt Thou, a message take, to Jason, who is above, Whisper that our hearts are with him and we send him all our love. The family will receive friends Sunday June 16 from 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, where funeral service will be 12noon Monday, June 17. THOMPSON Edison W. (Tommy) Thompson, born December 10, 1917, died peacefully at home May 29, 2002. He leaves his beloved wife, Jean; daughters, Darlene Rauch and Donna Molnar; son, Thomas C. Thompson; grandsons, Matthew Rauch, Andrew Rauch and Jason Molnar; granddaughter, Jessica Molnar; sister, Sarah Mullins. He attended the University of Cincinnati and served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Guadalcanal and other South Pacific campaigns. He and Jean married in November 1945. He built several companies and worked with the Columbus Health Department where he retired in 1986. Arrangements are made for an anatomical donation of his body to OSU College of Medicine. The Thompsons are members of St. Catharine's Church, where a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 10 a.m.

TUROS Barbara Lynn (Radebaugh) Turos, 46, of Galloway died June 14, 2002. Barbara was a member of Cypress Wesleyan Church. Survived by loving husband of 10 years, Russell; parents, Bert and Frances Radebaugh of Marion; twin brother, Mark (Deborah) Radebaugh of Marion; brothers, Daniel Radebaugh of Caldonia; Jeffrey (Doris) Radebaugh of Nashville, Tenn. and Bert T. Radebaugh of Marion; nephews, Thomas, Christopher, Cory, Michael and Peter; Uncle Tom and Aunt Ann Tatham of Oakwood; dear friend, Kay Allen of Galloway; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, Monday 5-9 p.m. Funeral service Tuesday 10:30 a.m. with calling 1 hour prior at Cypress Wesleyan Church, 377 Alton Darby Rd., Galloway, Oh. with Pastor Dale George officiating. Graveside service and burial Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at Marion cemetery, 620 Delaware Ave., Marion, Oh. WHITMAN Ann (Whittington) Whitman, died June 13, 2002. Preceded in death by parents Alice and Uri Hoover, brother Harold Hoover and husbands Harold Whittington and Lester Whitman. Survived by daughters, Judi Whittington and Nancy Whittington; granddaughter, Kellie (Gregg) Mann; great-granddaughter, Bethany Mann; step-daughter; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 12noon at West Park United Methodist Church, 89 West Park Ave., Columbus, Oh. WILLIAMS Robert L. Williams, born January 15, 1938, passed away June 13, 2002. Retired in 1999 from Buckeye Steel Castings after 43 years of service. Preceded in death by father Charles Williams Sr., son Robert Jr. and brother Charles Jr. He leaves to mourn his mother, Dorothy A. Williams; wife, Katherine; children, Troy, Katherine, John Roger (Nikki), Loren, Bridgette (Albert) Anderson, Vanessa Smith, Thornita and Arnell (Thomas) Hawkins; brother, Richard (Ann); sisters, Dorothy Brown, Mildred, Virginia, and Phyllis (Ronald) Allison; aunt, Nellie Wiggins; adopted daughter, Monica Hill; adopted son, William Chubb; 25 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service Monday 8 p.m. at First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 470 Welch Ave. Mr. Williams will lie in state Monday 1-4 p.m. at DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street and after 6 p.m. at the church where the family will receive friends 7 p.m. until start of service. Interment Green Lawn cemetery.

WORDEN Albert (Butchie) William Worden, 53, of Columbus passed away Saturday, June 15, 2002. He is survived by wife Beverly Worden and his three children, Shirley M. (Tom) Stephens of Columbus, John A. (Jennifer) Worden of Columbus and Charles S. Worden of Columbus. He was a devoted husband of 33 years and an honest father to his children. He spent his free time in service to his family and friends. He had 26 years of service with Worthington Industries- Cylinder Division, 19 of those he had perfect attendance. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #11, and to The American Legion Post 532. Albert was the son of John and Florence Worden, born Sept. 4, 1948. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Louie Worden. He is survived by brothers, Frank Worden of Columbus, Danny Worden of Columbus; and sisters, Patty Stickel of Pickerington, Alice Mays of Columbus and Geri Morrison of Columbus; 3 grandchildren, Tyler C., Virginia G. and John Jr.; many nieces and nephews. Donations may be made in Albert's memory to the Kidney Foundation. Arrangements being completed by SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway, Grove City 875-6333.

WRIGHT Richard E. Wright, 77, of Newark, died June 14, 2002 at his residence. Retired after 50 years as an Attorney. Member of Licking County, Columbus and Ohio Bar Associations. Survived by wife, Carolyn (Yantes) Wright, whom he married in 1991; sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence E. and Linda Wright of Thornville, Richard P. and Bambi Wright, Scott E. and Sandy Wright, all of Glenford; step-son, Richard A. Hupp of Newark; 5 grandchildren; brother, Edwin C. and Kay Wright; sister, Irene Cironi. Visitation Monday from 5-7 p.m. at CRISS-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Newark, where a memorial service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. with Pastor Paul Hanson officiating. BACHELDER Mildred J. Bachelder, 72, Cardington, OH., died Tuesday, Riverside Hospital. Member Harmony United Methodist Church. Born in Morrow Co. on July 8, 1930. Mildred helped operate a family farm. Member Evelyn Chapter #146 of the O.E.S., where she was past Worthy Matron and Grand Aid to the Worthy Grand Matron for Ohio. Survived by husband, Eston; sons, Dr. Brian (Debra Fink) Bachelder of Mt. Gilead and Roger (fiance, Licia Taylor) Bachelder of Chesterville; daughter, Deborah A. (Dr. Richard) Lahiere of Powell; foster son, Jack (Jane) Edgell of Cardington; 5 grandchildren; brother, Marvin R. Bishop of Claridon. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Friday at CRAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 67 N.
