She was born May 10, 1923, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Logan Heskett and Hester (Williams) Heskett.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

William D. “Bill” Crabtree, 44, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (Jan. 4, 2006) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Dec. 9, 1961, in Cambridge, son of the late James F. Crabtree and Carol (Curran) Crabtree.

ZANESVILLE - Carole J. Smith, 63, of New Concord, died Wednesday (Jan. 4, 2006) at the James Cancer Center, Columbus.
She was born Jan. 16, 1942, in Delanson, N.Y., daughter of the late Waldo E. and Bessie Ogden Chesnut.

WOODSFIELD - E. Claudine “Claud” Claugus, 54, of Graysville, died Sunday (Jan. 1, 2006) at the home of her sister in Carnegie, Pa.
She was born Dec. 9, 1951, in Barnesville, daughter of the late Alfred Morgan and Helen J. Sellers Morgan.

He was born March 4, 1944, in Byesville, son of Elizabeth (McHenry) Mallett of Byesville and the late Warren D. Mallett.
JAMES ‘PORKY’ RAMBO

James “Porky” Rambo, 60, of Cambridge, died Sunday (Jan. 1, 2006) at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Zanesville.
Mr. Rambo worked for many years at a saw mill.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Rambo.

FRED L. TILTON
1919-2006
CALDWELL - Fred L. Tilton, 87, of Dudley, died Saturday (Oct. 21, 2006) at Harmar Place, Marietta.
He was born Jan. 4, 1919, near Three Forks, son of the late Alfred and Fey Shuman Tilton.
Mr. Tilton was a 1936 graduate of Dexter City High School. He served in the Army Air Corps in Europe during World War II. Except for the time served in the
military, he lived his entire life in Noble County.
He retired from truck driving in 1981. He enjoyed attending auctions, repairing and refinishing antique furniture, and spending time with his family and friends, including the Hunka Dora “council” group.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cantley Tilton, whom he married Jan. 25, 1947, and who died April 3, 1997; a brother, Forrest Tilton; and a sister, Florence F. Tilton Carter.
He leaves a son, Tim (Brenda) Tilton of Marietta; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Cindy) Pennybacker of Troy and Lois Tilton of Columbus; five grandsons, Nicholas and Seth Tilton, and Matthew, Douglas and Samuel Pennybacker; a sister, Freda Tilton Miller of Dexter City; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Martin Radcliff officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.
