HELEN V. (RAPER) ANTOSZ
HELEN V. (RAPER) ANTOSZ, 76, formerly of Vine Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
She was born in Neffs, Ohio on Saturday, January 15, 1927 the daughter of the late Alvin and Violet (Kovalski) Raper.
She formerly was employed at the Select Market, Martins Ferry and the former Marx Toy Factory, Glendale, W. Va. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Antosz; her first husband Tony Angelo; one son, Steven Angelo; step-father, Michael Lewandowski, Sr., and one step-brother, Michael Lewandowski, Jr.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence Ellman of California; two daughters, Blanche Becker and her husband, Robert of Tiltonsville, Ohio and Valerie Schaal and her husband, David of Bridgeport, Ohio; one step-sister, Alberta Pappas and her husband Michael of Wheeling, W. Va.; three grandchildren, Charleen Gibson, Charles Bell, Jr. and Samatha Schaal and one great granddaughter, Camryn Bell.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 11 A.M. Monday, February 10, 2003, with Father Richard Battocletti officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
KENNETH D. CRAVER, SR.
KENNETH D. CRAVER, SR., 55, of Cope Street, Colerain, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born on Tuesday, September 2, 1947, in Martins Ferry, the son of Jack and Jesie Beavon Craver of Colerain, Ohio.
He was retired from Consolidated Coal, Cadiz, Ohio, and a former policeman of Martins Ferry. He was a Presbyterian by faith, a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietname War and a member of the Colerain V.F.W., Colerain, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Mossor Craver; a son, Kenneth D. Craver, Jr. of Martins Ferry; a daughter, Carolee Kinder of Illinois; a stepson, Jerry Brown of Columbus; four stepdaughters, Vickie Bartrug of Adena, Ohio, Joyce Stupak of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Kris Brown of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Shelly Jaworski of Colerain, Ohio; and a sister, Jackie Marling of Colerain, Ohio. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Friday, January 31, 2003 at 1 P. M., with Blair White officiating.

ETHEL H. KLOSS
ETHEL H. KLOSS, 90, of Virginia Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Friday, February 21, 2003, in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
She was born in Plymouth, Pa., on Thursday, December 12, 1912, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rapaschik Kloss.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, formerly served as secretary and housekeeper for the church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Kloss and Jack L. Kloss, one sister, Anna Kloss Topp and one nephew, Joseph A. Topp.
She is survived by two nieces, Jo Ann Samples and her husband Gale of Martins Ferry, Regina Finnegan and her husband Don of Weirton, W. Va., five nephews, Robert J. Topp and his wife Marianne of Reedsville, W. Va., Dr. Joseph L. Kloss and his wife Lina of Akron, Ohio, Jach Kloss and his wife Jean of Wolfurst, Ohio, Charles Kloss and his wife Mary Ann of Brookside, Ohio and William Kloss of Lansing, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated Monday, February 24, 2003 at 10 A. M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, with Father Richard Battocletti as the celebrant.
Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
JOHN M. BISCAN
October 27, 1920--May 19, 2001
JOHN M. BISCAN, 80, of Cresview Lane, Wheeling, W. Va., died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at his residence.
He was born in Benwood, W. Va. on Wednesday, October 27, 1920,a son of the late John and Rose (Kitzsberger) Biscan.
He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Benwood, W. Va. plant. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling, Cratian Fraternal Union of America Lodge #745 and the American Legion Post #46 both of Benwood. He also served in W.W. II as a SSG in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Bartolvic, Mollie Ferguson, Frances Filak, Rosella Filak and two brothers, Robert Filak and Albert Biscan.
He is survived by his wife, Clara (Zeyer) Biscan, two daughters, Beverly Barker and her husband, Joseph of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Janice Biscan Banks of Huntington, W. Va. and one granddaughter, Beverly Cathleen Banks, Huntington, W. Va.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was held Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wheeling.
SARAH L. (SALLY) BERNARDO
SARAH L. (SALLY) BERNARDO, 82, of Ferryview Road, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
She was born in Wheeling, W. Va., on Monday, September 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Ira and Caroline (Coates) Gemas.
She was a retired switchboard operator for East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Spruce Twig-East Ohio Regional Hospital, Gamma Chapter-Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority all of Martins Ferry and a member of the Daughters of The Nile, Wheeling, W. Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Anthony Bernardo; two brothers, Alfred and Robert Latimer and one sister, Edna Yingling.
Surviving are her husband, Anthony Bernardo, one daughter, Carolyn A. Van Dyne and her husband James, Englewood, Ohio; one son, Richard L. Bernardo and his wife Carol, Fairfield, Ohio and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22, 20003 at 11 A. M. at the funeral home with Pastor Van D. Fisher officiating. Interment followed in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.

MARY R. (SUCKEL) DRAGON
MARY R. (SUCKEL) DRAGON, 87, of So. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Monday, March 24, 2003 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
She was born in Blaine, Ohio on Friday, March 3, 1916 a daughter of the late Kazmer and Victoria (Piotri) Suckel.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and Catholic Women's Club all of Martins Ferry. She was a retired welder for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Martins Ferry plant.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Dragon; one son, William J. Suckel and four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by one brother, William Suckel and his wife Katherine; one sister, Victoria Evans, all of Ashtabula, Ohio; one grandson, Durr Suckel and his wife, Lee of Columbus, Ohio; great nephew, Matthew R. Jones and niece Yvonne Jones, both of Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 10 A.M. with Father Thomas Magary as the celebrant. Interment followed in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry..
SUSAN K. TITTLE
SUSAN K. TITTLE, 54, of Barnes Road, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Martins Ferry.
She was born on Wednesday, May 12, 1948 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of Adabelle (Davis) Sickle and her husband, William, of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio and the late Harold Schwender.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Martin Ferry and she was employed as a housekeeper at Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, W. Va.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Trevor; and a nephew, Evan.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jack C. Tittle of Martins Ferry; three sons, Jack Tittle III and his wife, Angela, David Tittle and his wife, Natalie and Jared Tittle and his wife, Barbara, all of Martins Ferry; a daughter, Heidi Channel and her companion, Jean Pollock, of Martins Ferry; three sisters, Cheryl Sickle and her husband, Kenn, of St. Clairsville, Viola McGee and her husband, Jim of Martins Ferry and Pamela Schwender of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Harold Schwender and his wife, Monica, of Martins Ferry; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Susan was loved and will be sadly missed by many in-laws, nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 with the Rev. Joe Sanders officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
RICHARD D. CAPRITA
RICHARD D. CAPRITA, 49, formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at his residence in Bellaire, Ohio.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va., on Wednesday, September 16, 1953, a son of the late Harry and Virginia M. (Laase) Caprita.
Surviving are two sons, Clayton J. Caprita and his wife Tinia of Moundsville, W. Va.; Christopher A. Caprita and his fiancee, Randi Jo Pugh of Martins Ferry; two stepsons, Charles E. Heath and his wife, Terri, Bryan A. Heath and his wife Tammy, both of Wheeling; one step-daughter, Kelly S. Marshall and her husband Mitch of Lansing; one brother, Harry (Humpy) Caprita and his wife Sandy of Piedmont, Ohio; one sister, Elizabeth (Beth Ann) Caprita of Martins Ferry; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home, Saturday, April 5, 2003, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roland Boggs officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry will be held at the convenience of the family.
