Harley Jones
CONTINENTAL - Harley D. Jones Jr., 70, Continental, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in a one-car accident on Ohio 613 near Leipsic.
He was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Putnam County's Greensburg Township, the son of Harley and Catherine (Craine) Jones Sr. In 1961, he married Eileen Amspaugh, who died in 1995. He retired from Philips Display Components, Ottawa, after 41 years, and worked at Pamida Store in Ottawa and Jerry Knappe Electrical, Continental. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a life member of Continental American Legion Post 541, and a member of New Bavaria VFW Post 8847, Ohio Polka Boosters and Quarter Century Club. He was also treasurer of Putnam County Council of American Legion.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Michelle) Snyder, Holland, and Shawn, Lima; a sister, Eileen Pribe, Dover, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Ida Pfau.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, with Rev. Bill Bellman officiating. Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery, Cuba, with
military rites accorded by Continental American Legion Post 541 and New Bavaria VFW Post 8847. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday.

CONTINENTAL - Hulda Turner, 82, Continental, died at 6:20 a.m. today in Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. Arrangements are pending at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental.

Wava Yarnell
CONTINENTAL - Wava C. Yarnell, 88, Continental, died at 8 a.m. Monday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Sept. 6, 1912, in Miller City, the daughter of Gideon and Clara (Rigg) Brecht. In 1947, she married Clarence Yarnell, who died in 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Emanuel's United Church of Christ in New Bavaria and its Women's Guild.
Surviving are a son, Wayne, Continental; a brother, Everett Brecht, Leipsic; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Leotta Yetter; and four brothers Virgil, Ray, Fay and Russell Brecht.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the church with Rev. Martha Crookham officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church.

Coleen Kleman
LEIPSIC - Coleen (Connie) Kleman, 46, Leipsic, died at 7:04 a.m. Monday in St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born April 24, 1954, in Defiance, the daughter of Lester and Pauline (Soper) Shisler. In 1978, she married James Kleman, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Putnam County Historical Society.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rachel, Leipsic; and two brothers, Robert Shisler of Dayton and Phillip Shisler, Oakwood.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a sister, Carolyn Roberts.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood, with Rev. Tim Tracy officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Miller City. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Evelyn Rupp
WEST UNITY - Evelyn Rupp, 85, West Unity, died Monday morning in Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.
She was born July 17, 1915, in Fulton County's Franklin Township, the daughter of Harvey and Addie (Buehrer) Beaverson. In 1946, she married Vernon Rupp, who died in 1990. She attended Reformed Mennonite Lauber Hill Church, Fulton County.
Surviving are three sons, Marvin of Belleville, Wis., and Duane and Craig, both of West Unity; a brother, Rollin Beaverson, West Unity; a sister, Mrs. James (Nancy) Sallows, Fayette; and three grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were eight brothers, Earl, Lowell, Estel, Carl, Walter, Sam, Willard and Kenneth Beaverson.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the church with Rev. Oakley Myers officiating. Burial will be in Lauber Hill Cemetery. Visitation is after 7 p.m. today and from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in Hollingshead Funeral Home, West Unity.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.

Rebecca Rubel
BRYAN - Rebecca Rubel, 86, Bryan, died Monday morning in Harborside Healthcare, Bryan.
She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Pulaski, the daughter Fred and Cora (Cooley) Rubel. She worked in the dietary department at Hillside County Living for 20 years.
Surviving are two half brothers, Wayne and Blaine Nicholls, both of Bryan; and a sister, Bessie May, Bryan.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Ralph; and a stepbrother, Russell Nicholls.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. Grant Nicholls officiating. Burial will be in Shiffler Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to Ohio Parkinson Foundation.

Mazie Schrimshaw
PAYNE - Mazie E. Schrimshaw, 89, Payne, died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday in Dallas Lamb Foundation Home, Payne.
She was born Aug. 16, 1911, in Paulding, the daughter of Dale and Maud (Oglesbee) Stilwell. She married Joseph Schrimshaw, who died in 1998. She was a member of Paulding United Methodist Church and Hesperian Chapter 281 Order of the Eastern Star, Payne.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Slade Funeral Home, Payne, with Rev. Roger Reece officiating. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today with an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m.

Charles Brink
Services for Charles (Chad) H. Brink were held Monday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Deb Berry officiating. Music was provided by Mary Brinkman and Rick Berry. Burial was in Ayersville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen, John, James and Michael Brink, Joe Fernandez, David Grossheim, Jaime Hinojosa and Marc Young. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Koenig and Wayne Moore.

Alfred Sauber
Alfred Sauber, 91, Defiance, died at 1:48 p.m. Wednesday in Harborside Healthcare.
He was born Jan. 24, 1909, in Defiance County, the son of Herbert and Eugenie (Reiniche) Sauber. He was a retired brick mason and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving is a sister, Louise Mangett, Defiance.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Paul, Joseph and Bernard; and a sister, Gertrude Carpenter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church with Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Friday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
