Marilyn Junkins
NAPOLEON - Marilyn J. Junkins, 69, Napoleon, died Thursday night at Defiance Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1931, in Henry County, the daughter of Harold and Phyliss (Gebhardt) Gaede. In 1971 she married Richard Junkins, who died in 1999. She worked for F.C. Dielman Supply Co., for 10 years and for Sanholtz Supply Co. for 14 years, until retirement. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving is a foster sister, Mrs. George (Marlene) Downey, Toledo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Joy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Robert Allen
NAPOLEON - Robert Henry Allen, 63, rural Napoleon, died Friday in his home.
He was born May 18, 1937, in Weston, the son of William and Frances (Gerhart) Allen. In 1960, he married Evelyn Kruse, who survives. He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Marines from 1956-1962. He was a maintenance mechanic at Campbell Soup Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Napoleon American Legion Post 300 and attended Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert of Grelton and Jeffrey, Napoleon; two daughters, Lisa Helberg of McClure and Mrs. Robert (Lora) Rumbaugh, Deshler; two sisters, Mrs. Steven (Joan) Cox of Brentwood, Tenn., and Mrs. Don (Phoebe) Ravenscroft, Elkart, Ind.; and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was an infant son, Henry; and two sisters, Dorothy Hockenberry and Nancy Bowen.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, with Revs. James Updegraff and Joy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Grelton Cemetery, Grelton, with
military rites to conducted by Napoleon joint veterans. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to the church organ fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Alice Okuly
CONTINENTAL - Alice M. Okuly, 73, Continental, died Friday afternoon in Defiance Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Hamler, the daughter of Louis and Hattie (Funk) Fackler. In 1947 she married Cornelius Okuly, who died in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, North Creek.
Surviving are four sons, Ronald of Cloverdale, Charles and James, both of Continental and Dale, New Bavaria; four daughters, Barb Soto of Defiance, Mrs. David (Katherine) Cross of Hicksville, Mary of Continental, and Mrs. Patrick (Debbie) McCague, Texas; a brother, John Fackler, Hudson, Mich.; and 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Wayne and Kenny Fackler; six sisters, Ruth Swalley, Helen Fackler, Florence Okuly, Evelyn Wilhelm, Betty Martinez and Cora Martinez.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with Rev. Stephen Stanbery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Monday with a wake service at 8 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate.
Preferred memorials are to the church or charity of the donor's choice.

James Knotts
GROVER HILL - James C. Knotts, 65, Grover Hill, died Friday at 11:15 p.m. at Veterans Medical Center, Fort Wayne, after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Waynesfield, the son of Forest and Helen (Bright) Knotts. In 1957 he married Gladys Kirk, who survives. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the
Korean War. He was a truck driver for Schwerman Trucking Co., Paulding, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Mandale Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a former member of Defiance and Grover Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Also surviving are two sons, Kelly and Clint, both of Cloverdale; a daughter Mrs. James (Misty) Landwehr, Cloverdale; four sisters, Mrs. David (Beverly) Thomas of Van Wert, Judith Stabler of Convoy, Carol Mansfield of Antwerp, and Kathy Armstrong, New Palestine, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Lisa; and a brother, Gene.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with Rev. Don Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill, with
military rites conducted by Grover Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, and one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Jayne Selby
ARBYRD, Mo. - Jayne Selby, 88, Arbyrd, Mo., died Friday at 5:06 p.m. in Defiance Hospital.
She was born Aug. 7, 1912, in Shionis, Mo., the daughter of Patrick and Augusta (Yates) Allison. In 1937 she married Harrold Selby, who died in 1992. She was a graduate of Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Ark., and was a teacher. She was a member of DAR, Jonesboro, VFW Auxiliary, Arbyrd, and the Historical Society, Dunklin County, Mo.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Pat) Walpole, Defiance; a brother, George Allison, Arbyrd; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, John and L.W. Pat Allison; and two sisters, Lillian Allison and Norma Da Vault.
Services will be Wednesday afternoon (time not known at press time) at Howard Funeral Home, Leachville, Ark. Burial will be in Lulu Cemetery, Senath, Mo. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Handling local arrangements is Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to the Historical Society of Kennett, Mo.

Mildred Gressley
GRAND RAPIDS - Mildred Elizabeth Gressley, 94, Grand Rapids, died Friday in Bowling Green Manor Nursing Home, Bowling Green.
She was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Toledo, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Althaus) Lehman. In 1936 she married Thaddeus Gressley, who died in 1999. She worked in Toledo at Owens-Illinoisas a typist, the Tuberculosis Society, and Toledo Pharmaceuticals as a billing and computer clerk, retiring in 1973. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Grand Rapids.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Wagner, Grand Rapids; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pettisville Cemetery, Pettisville, with Rev. Judith Frank officiating. There will be no visitation. Wright Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, is handling arrangements.
Preferred memorials are to the church.

Robert Jurcevich
ANTWERP - Robert J. Jurcevich, 60, Antwerp, died at 11:44 a.m. Thursday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born April 5, 1940, in Johnstown, Pa., the son of Adam and Ella Dora (Settlemire) Jurcevich. He served in the U.S. Marines for nine years and the U.S. Army for 12 years. He worked for
military intelligence for the U.S. Government Department of Defense. He was a member of Antwerp VFW Post 2053, Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556, National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club.
Surviving are his mother, Defiance; a son, Robert, Hicksville; a daughter, Mrs. Adam (Robin) Czyk, Windber, Pa.; two brothers, James and William, both of Defiance; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Eillen) Dietz, Defiance; and three grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Francis Ozog Funeral Home, Johnstown, Pa. Burial will be in Benchoff Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, Pa. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. today at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m., and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Francis Ozog Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to the charity of the donor's choice.

Service for LaVern March were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Mix officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Conrad Clippinger, Neal Deniston, Gaylon Davis, Roger Grim, Paul Voigt and Jack Palmer.

Graveside services for Sonja M. Trump were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, with Rev. Randy Trowbridge officiating. Music was provided by Kathy Trowbridge and Charlene Warner. Pallbearers were E.C. Hanenkrath, Rev. Randy Trowbridge, Roger Trowbridge, Emerson Trump and Carl Warner. Arrangements were handled by Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.

Owner of Patten Realty, Jan R. Patten, 65, Defiance, died Sunday evening at Defiance Hospital. Among survivors is his wife, Marge. Arrangements are pending at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.

Mary Jane Thompson
BRYAN - Former Defiance resident Mary Jane Thompson, 76, Bryan, died Saturday at Harborside Health Care Center, Bryan.
She was born May 9, 1924, in Hicksville, the daughter of Lafayette and Harriet (Correll) Thompson.
Surviving are a brother, William, Pacific Grove, Calif.; and two sisters, Kathryn Smith of Kendallville, Ind., and Virginia Harter, Bryan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville. Visitation is an hour prior to services Monday.
