John F. Pallotta, 64, of Solvay died Wednesday. He was born in Camillus. He owned and operated Solvay Automotive more than 40 years. He was a super modified race car designer, builder and racer from 1969 to 1987 and helped design the first winged super-modified for International Super Modified Association tracks.Survivors: His wife, the former Lisa Debottis; a daughter, Brenda Ladd of Solvay; a sister, Lucille Poole of Houston; a brother, Frank of Indianapolis. Emiel D. Palmer, 96, of 5822 S. Salina St., Syracuse, died Tuesday. Born in Shinglehouse, Pa., he moved to Syracuse in 1924 and graduated from Syracuse University. He was a chemist at Syracuse University from 1924 to 1963 and at State University College of Environment Science and Forestry from 1963 to 1972. He was a founder of the New York Forest Owners Association and was a member of the board of directors for many years.Survivors: His wife, the former Caroline M. John F. Parise, 82, of West Borden Avenue, Syracuse, died Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, he lived in Miami 25 years before moving back to Syracuse in 1975. He owned and operated ABC Driving School in Miami and was a waiter at the former Onondaga Hotel. He was a life member of Simon-Parise Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9596, Disabled American Veterans and Order of the Purple Heart. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart for injuries suffered in Normandy.Survivors: A son, John B. of Miami; three sisters, Angie Favorito of Miami, Palma Martin of East Syracuse and Maria Colvin of Davenport, Fla.; a brother, Philip of Florida. L. Andrea DeFranc Pearson, 64, of Montgomery died Tuesday. Born in Lowell, Mass., she lived in Hamilton many years, moving away in 1998. She graduated from Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 1998 as a physician assistant and had worked for Bassett Healthcare, formerly Mid-York Family Health Center in Hamilton. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Hamilton.
