Her husband, John J., died in 1985.Survivors: Two daughters, Kathy Andolina of Fulton and Loretta Kilpatrick of Syracuse; two sons, John of Phoenix and George of Oswego; three grandchildren. Louis A. Luciano

Louis A. Luciano, 85, of 306 S. 12th Street, Fulton, died Wednesday at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. He was born in Fulton. He retired as a photo engraver from The Syracuse Newspapers. He formerly worked at the former Courier Express newspaper, Buffalo, and after retirement worked part-time at the county building, Fulton. He was a communicant of Church of the Immaculate Conception, Fulton, and was a eucharistic minister and bingo worker at the church. A son, Ricky P. died in 1977.Survivors: A daughter, Patricia A. Scaringi of Fulton; a son, Louis J. of Lancaster,  Calif.; two sisters, Annette Beals and Edith Clark, both of Fulton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton. Marjorie L. Newvine

Marjorie L. Dafoe Newvine, 89, of Syracuse, died Thursday at Rosewood Heights Health Center. Born in Chittenango, she lived in Calgary, Canada, Gouverneur and Hermon before moving to Manlius. She graduated from Gouverneur High School and Potsdam Normal School. She was a homemaker and a former elementary school teacher. Her husband, Clarence J. died in 1976.Survivors: A daughter, Elaine Gaines of North Syracuse; a son, Lowell of Hannibal; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Buranich Funeral home. Burial, Hermon Cemetery. Calling hour, 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, 5431 West Genesee St., Camillus. Helen C. Perry

Helen Crandall Perry, 82, of 5557 Route 41, Homer, died Tuesday. Born in Westfield, she graduated from Kendall High School, Buffalo State Teachers College and received a master's degree from State University College at Cortland. She was founder and director of the Homer Nursery School since 1970 and retired in 1989. She was also known as "Sonshine the Clown," and visited nursing homes, schools and churches. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Homer, for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Homer Grange 834 for 60 years and was coordinator of many junior grange activities. Her husband, Lawrence H., died in 2000.Survivors: A daughter, Eleanor Perry Avery of Homer; six sons, Grant L. of Norwich, Robert L., David L. and Steven D., all of Homer, Allen W. of Cleveland, Mo., and Wayne D. of Truxton; two brothers, Donald Crandall of Medina and David Crandall of Middlebury; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church of Homer. Burial, Atwater Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church, Cayuga Street, Homer. Mary Walpole Renaud, 92, of Syracuse died Thursday. Born in Oswego, she graduated from Syracuse University and lived in Syracuse most of her life. She was a teacher at Percy Hughes School in the Syracuse City School District. She was a member of the Corinthian Club. Her husband, Ralph, died in 1988.Survivor: A cousin, Betty Norton of Oswego. Bertha L. Smith

Bertha L. Smith, 82, formerly of 115 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, died Tuesday. Born in Mullins, S.C., she graduated from high school there. She was a supervisor at ISS Janitorial Services and retired after 20 years. She was a member of the New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Mothers Board. She was a member of Daughters of Ruth Order of the Eastern Star. She was a worthy matron of Sister Electa Chapter 78 Order of Eastern Star. Her husband, Eugene, and her daughters, Geraldine Sampson and Dorothy Rowell, died previously.Survivors: Two daughters, Kay Sampson-Williams and Ruby Barnum-Mensha, both of Syracuse; two sisters, Ruby Baker of Ocean City, N.J., and Wilhelmenia Ford of Zion, S.C.; 24 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren. Services and burial: In Fork, S.C. Calling hours, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Garland Bros. Funeral Home, 143 W. Castle St., Syracuse.

Madeline C. Connell Stevenson, 78, of 4055 Long Branch Parkway, Liverpool, died Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, she lived at 115 Circle Road in North Syracuse 50 years before moving to Liverpool. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club in Cicero. Her husband, Robert Sr., and her son, Robert Jr., died previously.Survivors: A daughter, Patricia Stevenson of Georgia; three grandchildren. Services: Private. No calling hours. William M. Sullivan

William M. Sullivan, 88, of Clearwater, Fla., died Sept. 23. Born in Syracuse, he lived there until 1980. He was a police officer in Syracuse for 30 years and a member of Police Benevolent Association and Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of Light of Christ Church in Clearwater and was a third degree member of Knights of Columbus in Syracuse.Survivors: His wife, Margaret; a daughter, Patricia Mabe of Syracuse; a son, Thomas of Palm Springs,  Calif.; a stepson, Steven Loughlin of Arizona; a stepdaughter, Debra Loughlin of Las Vegas; two sisters, Margaret Liro of Mattydale and Marie Smith of New York state; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild. She retired in 1983 as a lab technician at Bristol Labs. Her husband, Edward, died in 1975.Survivors: Two sons, Gene Gasowski of Marcellus and Ronald L. Matthew A. Donner Jr.

Matthew A. Donner Jr., 92, of Naples, Fla., died Thursday. He graduated from Colgate University. He retired in 1975 as manager of the Syracuse office of Atlantic Mutual Insurance Co. after more than 40 years. He was president of the Central New York Alumni Association of Colgate. He attended St. Paul's Cathedral in Syracuse. He was a 57-year member of Free & Accepted Masons Master's Lodge 5 in Syracuse and was a member of Cavalry Country Club. He served with the Civil Air Patrol during World War II.Survivors: Two daughters, Ruth Brown of Camillus and Susan Wells of Greenwood Lake; a son, Lance of Walnut Creek,  Calif.; three grandchildren. Anne "Nancy" Campbell Conan Flood, 81, of Houston,  Texas, died Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, she received a master's degree from Syracuse University and moved to Orlando, Fla., in 1980. She was an English teacher and school administrator in the Syracuse City School District for many years and the first female secondary-level vice principal and principal in the system. She was a member of University Club in Winter Park, Fla. Her husband, Robert P., died previously.Survivors: A daughter, Mary A. Flood of Houston; two sons, Robert of Chevy Chase, Md., and Mark of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren. Services: Will be in Houston. Pat H. Foley & Co. Regina T. Gibbs, 79, of 3230 Richland Road, Pulaski, died Thursday. Born in Watertown, she graduated from Mannsville High School and Rochester Business Institute. She retired in 1994 as a court clerk for the village of Pulaski and had also worked at Bagley & Sewall and New York Air Brake, both in Watertown, and Pulaski Academy Elementary School. She was a member of Pulaski Congregational Church. Her husband, Herbert, died in 1992.Survivors: A daughter, Annette Pratt of Pulaski; five sons, George C. of West Monroe, Gordon M. of Snellville, Ga., Clark O. and Andrew S., both of Pulaski, and Mitchell L. of Lacona; two sisters, Wanda Twiss of Watertown and Orda Hayes of Camden; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He retired in 1983 from the state Tax Compliance Office in Syracuse. He was a member of Peterboro United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 136 in Morrisville and American Association of Retired Persons. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 28 years, the former Carolyn L. Howard; three stepdaughters, Deanna Moyes of Lubbock,  Texas, Norma Galbreath of Morrisville and Marie Gerhardt of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Howard Wilkinson of Oneida and Robert Wilkinson of Morrisville; a brother, Charles of Troy; 12 stepgrandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
