Donald F. Duciaume, 77, of 2672 county Route 6, Volney, died Monday. Born in Syracuse, he lived in the Volney area most of his life. He retired from the Laborer's Union in Syracuse after more than 30 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1280 in Fulton and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts in Scriba. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Mexico. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. His first wife, Emma J., died in 1975; a daughter, Jeanette Duciaume, died in 1956.Survivors: His wife, the former Nancy A. Stevens; five daughters, Emma M. Wright of Syracuse, Theresa E. Bianco of Texas, Sara A. Myers of Minnesota, Dolores I. Cooper of Fulton and Renee A. Duciaume of Oswego; a son, Edward F. of Oswego; two stepdaughters, Carol L. Mason of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ruth A. Scullin of Oswego; four stepsons, Raymond M. Stevens Jr., James R. Stevens and William J. Stevens, all of Fulton, and Kenneth L. Stevens of Palermo; two sisters, Sally Clark of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Eva MacDougall of New Haven; a brother, Leonard of Fulton; 29 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Harriet Whitley Cornue Freeman, 88, of Brighton Towers, Syracuse, died Monday. Born in Spencer, she lived in Jamesville most of her life. She was a supervisor at Cortland Line Co. and had worked for Jamesville-DeWitt School District. She was a member and past president of Jamesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a member of the Tully Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a longtime member of Jamesville Community Church. Her husband, Donald Cornue, died in 1969; a daughter, Marriette Thompson, died in 1994.Survivors: A daughter, Martha A. Smith of Benicia, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
