She was a professional tole painter and sold her work at local craft shows. She formerly worked as an encoder for the U.S. Postal Service in East Syracuse and was a country-and-Western dance instructor. She was a member of North Country Step Kickers and competed with them nationally. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in North Syracuse.Survivors: A daughter, Tara Lee Whitcomb at home; a son, Wade W. Whitcomb at home; her parents, Robert J. and Nancy Bennett of North Syracuse; two brothers, R. Scott and Ricky J. Bennett, both of North Syracuse. Ronald J. Bisnett, 62, of 42 Ellen St., Oswego, died Saturday. Born in East Syracuse, he attended East Syracuse schools. He worked for Conrail in Syracuse for 20 years and had also worked with Boilermakers Local 175 in Oswego. He was an Army veteran.Survivors: His wife of 40 years, the former Sandra Stone; two daughters, Wendy Bisnett of Syracuse and Robin Bisnett of Oswego; three sons, Jeffrey of Fort Pierce, Fla., Mark of Oswego and Ronald Jr. of Illinois; a sister, Sheila Tolhurst of East Syracuse; a brother, Michael of Chittenango; 12 grandchildren. Helen L. St. Denis, 83, of Jamesville died Saturday at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville. Born in Mc Donough, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She retired in 1968 after seven years at Carrier Corp. Her husband, Donald, died in 1996; a son, Stanley Root, died in 1999.Survivors: Four daughters, Donna A. Houde of Baldwinsville, Diane M. Michel of Clay, Ruth M. Whalen of Liverpool and Maude A. St. Denis of LaFayette; three sons, Ronald Root of St. Petersburg, Fla., Leo McCarthy of Jamesville and Gary O'Donnell of Cortland; three sisters, Margaret O'Donnell and Antemese Parker, both of Cortland, and Juanita Payson of Liverpool; a brother, Robert Meade of Onondaga Hill; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Harkness United Methodist Church. She attended Coventry (Conn.) Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Clifton J., died in 1962.Survivors: A daughter, Caroline E. Penn of Baldwinsville; five sons, Roger A. of Storrs, Conn., Rolland L. and Bernard C., both of Pulaski, Norman E. of Peru and Lawrence H. of Oxnard,  Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. Jean M. Gray Howard, 63, of North Pendergast Road, Phoenix, died Sunday. Born in Phoenix, she graduated from J.C. Birdlebough High School and Central City Business Institute. She retired as a secretary at General Electric Co. in Syracuse after 10 years and had worked at Processor Piano & Organ in Seattle. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 172 in Phoenix. She was organist at Presbyterian Church in Mexico for 14 years and played at many other churches, including Phoenix United Methodist.Survivors: Her husband of 15 years, Charles F.; three daughters, Brenda J. Thomas of Richville, Bethany J. Rowell of Biloxi, Miss., and Carol A. Thomas of Liverpool; a son, Brian J. Thomas of Phoenix; a sister, Nancy Gee of Midland, Mich.; a brother, Paul Gray of San Antonio; seven grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Church. Burial, Wellwood Cemetery. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 53 years, the former Mildred Winters; three sons, Neison of Coral Springs, Fla., Dr. Howard of Modesto,  Calif., and Alan of Las Vegas; a sister, Betty Fleischer of Brooklyn; three brothers, Louis of New York City, Meyer of Long Island and Karl of Manalapan, N.J.; five grandchildren. She was a former member of Tuscarora Golf Club and a member of St. Patrick's Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. Her husband, Edward P. Sr., died in 2000.Survivors: Two daughters, Rosemary Barry of Annandale, Md., and Katherine F. Magnarelli of Geddes; four sons, Edward P.
