He retired in 1984 after 32 years as an engineer for Corning Glass in Corning. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. His wife, Jane M., died in 1998. Survivors: A daughter, Nancy J. Ivy Brinton Doolittle, 83, of Long Point Road, Brewerton, died Monday. Born in Bradford, Pa., she graduated from Drexel University in 1938. She was a teacher at Rockville public schools in Rockville, Md., for five years and Central City Business Institute for five years. She was a member of Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer at University Hospital. Her husband, Dr. Sidney B., died in 1995; a son, William W., died in 1989. Robert A. Hunt, 81, of Cook Road, Venice Center, died Tuesday. He was born in Kirkville. He was the owner and mechanic of Hunt's Service Station in Poplar Ridge for 46 years and was a local distributor of Wheel Horse Lawn Equipment for 40 years. He was a member of King Ferry Veterans of Foreign Wars post and a former fire chief of Poplar Ridge Fire Department. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. His first wife, the former Alice Coily, died in 1988. Survivors: His wife, the former Malvie G. Cook; five daughters, Diane Stith of Liverpool, Lorraine Carder of Duluth, Ga., JoAnn Smith of Poplar Ridge and Miriam Knapp and Mia Sohn, both of East Rochester; four sisters, Christine Loup of Clay, Bette Richardson of Elbridge, Judy Balloni of Auburn and June May of King Ferry; a brother, Richard Hunt of Skaneateles; seven grandchildren. Born in Oswego, she received a teaching certificate from Oswego Normal School and a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. She retired in 1969 as a first-grade teacher at Edward Smith School in Syracuse. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Solace and a member of its Altar and Rosary Guild and was a lifetime member of Loretto Guild. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association and the Onondaga County Retired Teachers Association. Her husband of 49 years, Thomas S., died in 1979. She graduated from Central High School and received bachelor's and master's degrees from Syracuse University. She retired in 1966 after 28 years as a Latin and French teacher. She was a member of Syracuse University Alumnae Club and New York State Retired Teachers Association. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a member of Crouse Hospital's Auxiliary and volunteered 3,500 hours at the hospital. Genevieve E. Fitzgerald O'Leary Donaghy, 99, formerly of 101 Croyden Lane, DeWitt, died Wednesday. Born in Oswego, she lived in Watertown 72 years before moving to Syracuse in 1994. She graduated from Oswego Normal School and State University College at Potsdam. She retired in 1969 as a schoolteacher in the Watertown school district. She was a member of New York State Teachers Association and American Legion Post Auxiliary in Sackets Harbor. She was a communicant of The Church of St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus, and a longtime member of St. Patrick's Church in Watertown. Her first husband, John B. O'Leary, died in 1947; her second husband, Theodore W. Donaghy, died in 1965; a son, John O'Leary, died in 1992.Survivors: A son, William E. of Syracuse; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was a member of American Legion Robert Edwards Post 358 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289, both in Pulaski. He was a former Little League coach in Pulaski.
