She was a former member of Liverpool First United Methodist Church.Survivors: Her husband of 47 years, John W.; a daughter, Carol A. She graduated from Fordham University and received a master's degree from Catholic University of America. She retired in 1988 as a teacher and school administrator and had worked at Maria Regina College, St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and St. Elizabeth College of Nursing in Utica. Until recently she was a tutor at Pen & Pages Tutorial Center in Syracuse.Survivor: A sister, Helen Rhodes of Pulaski. Services: 7 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony Motherhouse. C. Walter Brown, 86, formerly of 283 Fenway Drive, Syracuse, died Tuesday at Loretto. Born in Lumpkin, Ga., he attended Lumpkin schools. He retired in 1979 as a gas mechanic foreman for Niagara Mohawk after 26 years and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 79. He was a member of Eastwood Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. His wife, Bernice, died in 1997.Survivors: A daughter, Rose Brown of Syracuse; a son, Luis of Syracuse; six sisters, Louise Crawford of Albany, Ga., Viola Hudson and Geraldine Buck, both of Lumpkin, Ophelia Foster of Long Island, Susie Mae Brown of New York City and Sallie Bussey of Syracuse; three brothers, Harry Lee and Jerry Brown, both of Rochester, and Solomon Brown of Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was also a hairdresser at Mary's Beauty Salon in Pittsfield. She was a member of Town of Salina Seniors.
