Robert W. Moxley
DELHI — Robert W. Moxley III, 48, formerly of Delhi, died Sept. 16, 2002, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton.
He was born Oct. 31, 1953, in Jamaica, the son of Robert W. and Nellie Grace (Schrum) Moxley.
He is survived by his father, Robert W. Moxley, and his wife, Evanna, of Palm Springs, Calif.; three sisters, Gaye and Frank Mehltretter of Tonawanda, Judy and Gary Loos of Palm Bay, Fla., and Julie and Montanna Wilbur, Ridgeland, S.C.; a brother, William and Sung Moxley, Levenworth, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi, with the Rev. Paul Meisel officiating.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are with the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi.
Donna Lamb High
COOPERSTOWN — Mrs. Donna L. Lamb High, 60, of Cooperstown died unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Monday morning, Sept. 16, 2002, in Emporia, Va.
Donna was born on Dec. 27, 1941, in Sidney, a daughter of Keith and Lida (Wilson) Latham.
She was first married to Forrest "Frosty" Misner of Fly Creek. She later married John A. Lamb on Jan. 27, 1977, in Fly Creek. John died Nov. 18, 1999. On Aug. 18, 2002, she married James R. High, formerly of Brookfield, Conn., in the First Presbyterian Church of Cooperstown.
Raised in Masonville, Donna graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1959.
For many years she worked at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown as the secretary to the medical records director. She then worked at Co-Optics of America in Oneonta. In July 1989 she became employed at what is now the Mang Cooperstown Insurance Agency as a customer service representative. She retired from this position on Dec. 1, 2001.
A community-minded individual, Donna was always ready to help with events for the Cooperstown Rotary Club and Pierstown Grange No. 793. She was also a faithful attendee of the First Presbyterian Church of Cooperstown.
Donna is survived by her husband, Jim of Cooperstown; her two daughters, Terry Mestyanek of Schenectady and Cindy Misner of Brandenburg, Ky.; four stepchildren, Renee J. Lamb of Mastic, Long Island, Jeanette J. Lamb of Ballston Spa and Jaclyn J. Lamb and John A. Lamb II, both of Okeechobee, Fla.; six grandchildren; her three brothers, Lewis Latham of Norfolk, Va., Ronald Latham of Endicott and David Latham of Binghamton; many nieces and nephews; many friends; and her dog, Tiny.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at the First Presbyterian Church of Cooperstown, with the Rev. Lin R. Quinlan, co-pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends in the church chapel immediately following the church service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial gifts may be made to Cooperstown Youth Baseball Building Fund, P.O. Box 282, Cooperstown, NY 13326.

Theresa Pondolfino
ONEONTA — Theresa Jean Pondolfino, 91, formerly of 49 Church St., Oneonta, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002.
She was born May 10, 1911, in Oneida.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Lewis-Hurley Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
Mary P. Eaton
ROCHESTER — Mary Phillips Eaton, the daughter of Paul F. Eaton and the late Frances Kellogg Eaton, died Sept. 18, 2002, in Rochester, after an extended illness.
She was born May 18, 1941, and attended Walton public schools and graduated from Walton Central School in 1959.
Ms. Eaton was a 1963 graduate of Buffalo State College and received a Masters Degree in Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Following completion of her Masters Degree, Ms. Eaton embarked on a career as a college administrator specializing in the housing and care of college and university students.
Starting at SUNY Buffalo, Ms. Eaton moved to Marymount College in Tarrytown, and then to Boston University where she was employed for nearly 20 years and served as the Director of Residence Life from 1976 until 1988. In this capacity she was responsible for the housing of 10,000 students, as well as for their well-being, safety and security.
In addition, she oversaw the recruitment, supervision and training of a student and professional Residence Life staff of 300.
In 1989, Ms. Eaton served in a similar capacity at Wellesley College.
In 1990, Ms. Eaton moved to Rochester, where she established a new career on the staff of Congresswoman Louise Slaughter as a congressional aide, a position in which she remained until her death. In this capacity she was responsible for constituent matter involving immigration, taxation, foreign affairs and higher education. In addition, she represented the Congresswoman at various meetings and public events.
Ms. Eaton was active in community affairs and served as a volunteer at St. Mary's Parish.
Ms. Eaton was diagnosed with cancer in June 2001, and throughout her illness she was lovingly supported by family and friends from Rochester, Boston and New York.
Ms. Eaton's mother preceded her in death in 1994.
She is survived by her father, Paul F. Eaton, of Walton; and two brothers and their wives, Paul F. Eaton Jr. and Stefka Z. Eaton of Sidney, and Richard K. Eaton and Susan Henshaw Jones of Washington, D.C. She's also survived by her uncle and aunt, George and Sheila Kellogg of Tampa, Fla. In addition, she is survived by five nieces, Katherine Eaton, a lieutenant in the United States Army serving in Germany, Shane Eaton, a lieutenant in the United States Army on duty in Texas, Elizabeth Eaton a student at Lehigh University, Alice Eaton, a student at Barnard College in New York, and Liza Eaton, a student in Washington, D.C. Additionally she is survived by 23 cousins representing the Kellogg and Eaton families.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 15 St. Mary's Place in downtown Rochester,
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Walton.
Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery, Walton.
Earl Brant
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Earl Brant, 79, formerly of Hamden, N.Y., passed away at his home in New Port Richey, Fla., on Sept. 11, 2002.
He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Hamden, to Ralph and Edith Hamilton Brant.
Earl graduated from Delaware Academy, Delhi, N.Y., in 1942.
He was a member of the Delaware County 4-H, F.F.A., and had several registered Ayshires that he showed for years at several county fairs.
On Sept. 2, 1945, he married Mary Ruteshouser of Walton, N.Y.
He was a farm manager on several large dairy farms and in 1989 he and Mary moved to New Port Richey.
He was a person who could not retire so he worked for 11 years for the Publix Supermarkets until May 2002.
He was a very loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, Catherine Colmore, Kent, Conn., Patricia Leonardo, Cochecton, N.Y., Ronald Brant, Ancramdale, N.Y., and Lynn Brant, Kingston, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Alice Blackman of Walton, N.Y.
He belonged to Calvary Temple Church of God of New Port Richey, Fla.
Graveside services will be held next spring at the families convenience at the Hamden Cemetery, Hamden, N.Y.

LAURENS — Graveside memorial services and burial for Glenn B. (Jim) Toombs, who died July 9, 1993, in Canandaigua, and Viola M. Toombs, who died Oct. 22, 2001, in Newburgh, Ind., will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, in the Laurens Village Cemetery, Laurens, with the Rev. Roger Yoder, pastor of the Hartwick and Mount Vision United Methodist Churches, officiating.

Mary P. Eaton

Gloria L. Walker
TREADWELL — Gloria L. Walker, 71, of Treadwell, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at her home.
The daughter of Jacques and Alba (Bolengo) Liotard, she was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Paterson, N.J., where she married John T. Walker on May 18, 1952.
Mr. Walker died Oct. 6, 2000.
A homemaker most of her life, Gloria provided child care in her home for a number of years, also enjoying ceramics, while living in Fair Lawn and Closter, N.J. She moved to Treadwell in 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Beatrice A. (David) Mooney of Treadwell; three sons, John T. Walker Jr. of Essex, Thomas Walker of Clarksville, Tenn., and Robert Walker of Perkasie, Pa.; six grandchildren; two brothers, James Liotard of New Port Richey, Fla., and Jack Liotard, of Ridgewood, N.J.
In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased three children, J. Victor, James Patrick and Deanna Dawn Walker.
Friends are invited to attend services at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home in Delhi, with the Rev. Arvid Whitmore officiating. There are no prior calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treadwell Emergency Squad.
Arrangements are entrusted to Robert A. Peet & Son of Delhi.
Charles D. Bartholomew
GRAND GORGE — Charles D. Bartholomew, 91, of Route 30, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at the Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford.
Mr. Bartholomew was born on Aug. 13, 1911, in Grand Gorge, a son of Ford H. and Mae Dickson Bartholomew. He was a lifelong resident and had worked for the former Draffen Department Store in Grand Gorge.
During WWII he served with the United States Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. He was discharged on March 17, 1946, with the rank of first lieutenant.
He is survived by two cousins.
A graveside service will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Grand Gorge at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, with the Rev. Larry Major officiating.
At Mr. Bartholomew's request, there are no calling hours.

Daniel G. Edick
ILION — Daniel G. Edick, 22, of Second Street, passed away on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born on March 15, 1980, in Ilion, son of Shirley Russell and Eileen J. Haney Edick.
A lifelong area resident, he was raised in Richfield Springs and was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. He enjoyed sports and was a member of the varsity basketball team in high school.
He worked in the shipping department of Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Sharon Springs.
On Aug. 18, 2000, he married Christina Helmer in Herkimer.
Daniel had a winning personality. His interests included horse back riding, cars and watching professional wrestling.
He was a talented musician who played drums with the band "Damnaged."
He was a true friend to many and will be greatly missed, especially by his family.
Surviving are his wife, Christina; two daughters, Nastasia Jordan and Zoe Mackenzie Edick; his stepdaughter, Jocelyn Kelly, all of the home address. His parents, Shirley Russell and Eileen J. Edick of Richfield Springs; four brothers, Steve Davidson and his wife, Theresa, of Kingston, Russell Alan Ray of New Berlin, Russell M. Edick and his wife, Tammy, Jeff S. Edick, all of Richfield Springs. Four sisters and their husbands, Shirley and Keith Winton of New Berlin, Karen and Rusty Zvirzdin of Sylvan Beach, Lori and George Fisher of Kingston, Lori and Ronald Edick of Ilion; his mother and father-in-law, Debra and William Helmer of Ilion; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his best friend Jason Bizardi, who also passed away as a result of the automobile accident; he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Edick in 1983.
A funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs, with the Rev. Alan Miller, of the Bible Church of Richfield Springs, officiating. Interment will follow in Unadilla Forks Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 23, 2002.
The family would like to thank Dr. Carol Beechy, the Rev. William Persis, the Richfield Springs Emergency Rescue Squad, the New York State Police and all those who helped on Thursday evening.
Jason N. Bizardi
RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Jason Nicholas Bizardi, 21, of Manley Street, passed away on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born March 2, 1981, in Brooklyn, son of Roseann Salvaggio Bizardi and Isabelo Bizardi. He and his family moved to Richfield Springs when he was 5 years old.
Jason was educated in Richfield Springs, played varsity football and was a member of the wrestling team. He continued his education at Herkimer Community College.
He was employed at Upstate Home for Children.
Jason had a great love for life. He will be remembered as a loving and caring person and will be greatly missed and loved dearly. He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.
He was happiest when he was with his twin sons, Isaac and Isaiah, and his best friends Daniel Edick, Jacob Bennett and Derick Coveny.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Roseann Bizardi, of Richfield Springs; his twin sons, Isaac and Isaiah; two sisters, Tiffany and Gloria; two brothers, Bryant and Eric; his father, Isabelo Bizardi; his nephew, Cameron; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and his friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today, Sept. 23, 2002, in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs, with the Rev. Terrence Healy, pastor of St. Joseph Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
The family was present at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. for visitation.
