Ardath Hendrickson
NEW BERLIN — Ardath A. Hendrickson, 95 years, of New Berlin, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002, in New Berlin.
She was born May 20, 1906, in the town of Columbus, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (King) Calhoun.
She spent her childhood in the town of Columbus.
She is survived by her children, Harriett Simons, Edwardsburg, Mich., Daniel Hendrickson, Ibera, Mo., Julia Stage, New Berlin, and Sarah Jennison, Brookfield; 36 grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dora Johnson, New Berlin.
She was predeceased by the following children, Evelyn Johannesen, Anna Hickling and Leland, William, Paul and Neil Hendrickson; and one brother, Floyd Calhoun.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. proceeding the funeral Saturday, May 11, 2002, at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2002, at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin, with the Rev. Stephen Reese, of the Columbus Community Church, officiating.
Interment will be held in Columbus Corners Cemetery, town of Columbus.
Memorial donations may be made to the Chase Nursing Home, New Berlin.
Frances Sander
DELHI — Frances Sander, 93, of Delhi, died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
She was born March 15, 1909, in Yugoslavia, the daughter of Frank and Francisco (Zalle) Jaklitch.
She married Herman Sander on Sept. 28, 1935. He predeceased her March 27, 1970.
For 30 years they owned and operated a confectionery store in Jersey City, N.J. She moved to Delhi five years ago.
She is survived by a sister, Amelia Pust, Canada; two nieces, Frieda Snyder, Delhi, and Irene Sander, Delhi; two nephews, Wilhelm (Helen) Sander, East Meredith and Heinrich (Freda) Sander, Delhi; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2002, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James McDevitt officiating at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, N.J.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Delhi Emergency Squad or American Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements are with the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi.
Richard J. Fluskey
WORCESTER — Richard J. Fluskey, 71, passed away, Monday, May 6, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 15, 1931, in Port Chester, the son of Thomas and Emily (Bratkowski) Fluskey.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Mr. Fluskey was a self-employed tile setter and moved to Worcester in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Welker) Fluskey, of Worcester; two sons, Richard J. Fluskey Jr. of Worcester and Brian Fluskey of Darien, Conn.; and a granddaughter, Erica.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by E.J. Skinner Co., 155 Main St., Worcester.
Michael M. Veres
GILBERTSVILLE — Memorial services for Michael M. Veres, age 61, will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Gilbertsville Presbyterian Church.

MILFORD CENTER — Graveside services for Nadine Grace Couse, who passed away Dec. 9, 2001, will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Milford Center Cemetery.
Dorothy Roszmann
SOUTH KORTRIGHT — Dorothy B. Roszmann, 88, of South Kortright, formerly of Maryland, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at O'Connor Hospital, Delhi.
She was born Feb. 5, 1914, in Manorkill, the daughter of Adelbert and Mary Loucks.
She was the widow of Chester Roszmann.
Dorothy had worked in glove factories in Gloversville and Amsterdam during her working years.
She had lived in Gloversville and Canajoharie before moving to Maryland in 1986.
In her earlier years she enjoyed dancing as a pastime.
She is survived by four sons, Stanley Eldred of Wells Bridge, Walter Eldred of Aurora, Colo., Kenneth Eldred of Oneonta and John Loucks of North Carolina; one daughter, Genevieve Eldred Grant of Annapolis, Md.; one brother, Everett Loucks of Gloversville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Canajoharie Falls Cemetery, Canajoharie.
There will be no calling hours at Mrs. Roszmann's request.
Cremation will be held at the Hillington Crematory, Morris.
Funeral arrangements are by Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta.
Caroline Kloss
DELHI — Caroline Caffrey Kloss, infant daughter of Andrew and Katherine "Katie" (Krzyston) Kloss of Round Lake, Saratoga County, passed away on Monday night, May 6, 2002, at Albany Medical Center. Caroline was born earlier that day at Bellevue Maternity Hospital, Schenectady.
In addition to her parents, Caroline is also survived by her brother, Stefan Andrew Kloss, at home; her grandparents, Gregory and Regina Krzyston of Delhi, and Jack and Kathleen Kloss of Verona, N.J.; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Caffrey of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; aunts and uncles, David and Jodi Krzyston, Matthew Krzyston and his fiancée, Maja Stefanovska, Brian and Laurie Kloss, Debbie and Peter Festa, Brenda Kloss and Matthew Kloss; cousins, Joshua, Amanda and Sarah Krzyston, Christopher and David Festa; and many other loving family members and friends.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of the Angels, 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at St. Peter's R.C. Church, Delhi, to be celebrated by the Rev. James McDevitt and the Rev. Edward Ryan, and a reception will follow.
Memorials in the form of a children's book, given to a library of your choice in memory of Caroline, will be gratefully appreciated.

EAST SPRINGFIELD — Graveside committal services for Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) Adair Kineke, 70, who passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002, will be held on Monday, May 13, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the Springfield Center Cemetery, Springfield Center, with the Rev. Ron Fralick officiating. Burial will follow.

Thelma Garvey
UNION CITY, Calif. — Mrs. Thelma Flora Garvey, 91, a longtime resident of Oakland and Union City, Calif., died Dec. 22, 2001, at her home in Union City.
She was born on March 27, 1910, in the village of Cooperstown, a daughter of James and Flora L. (James) Clark.
Mrs. Garvey is survived by a daughter, Lois Garvey of Union City, Calif.; and two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lawrence Garvey of Richmond, Calif., and Gordon Garvey and his wife, Janet, of Nipomo, Calif.
She was predeceased by one sister, Ellen M. Herring, who died on Dec. 1, 1977; and three brothers, Lester J. Clark, who died on Dec. 14, 1987, Edward V. Clark, who died on Feb. 1, 1987, and James Clark.
A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2002, at the Springfield Center Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. John R. Roos officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown.

Lizandra Almeida
ARKVILLE — Lizandra (Liza) Almeida, 91, of Arkville, passed away May 8, 2002, on Church Street, Arkville.
She was born Nov. 10, 1910, in Portugal, the daughter of Joao and Joaquina (Carreira) Dosantos.
She was married to Jaime Almeida. He predeceased her.
She was a retired chef. Liza had worked at Blue Mill Tavern in New York City.
The past several years, she has lived in Arkville.
She was a volunteer at The Hospital Thrift Shop in Margaretville.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Mami, Arkville; two brothers, Manny Santos, Texas, and Herman Santos, Florida; niece Kathleen Mami Moore, Oneonta; nephews, Frank Mami Jr. and family, Charles Mami and family, and Peter Mami and family; special niece, Beth Mami and family; and many other grandnieces and nephews.
At the request of Lizandra, there will be a private memorial Mass celebrated for the family at Sacred Heart Church, Margaretville, with the Very Rev. Robert H. Purcell, as celebrant.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in memory of Lizandra Almeida may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice, Oneonta, NY 13820.

SCHENEVUS — The committal service for Donal J. Lifgren, 67, who died Jan. 5, 2002, will be held 11 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2002, at the Schenevus Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert William Thompson, officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Schenevus VFW Post 2752.
