Frances Earing
MILFORD — Frances Domion Earing, 93, of Milford, died Friday evening, June 22, 2001, at her home.
She was born May 11, 1908, in Richfield Springs, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Ronowski) Domion. She was the ninth of 16 children.
She attended Hyder Road School, a one-room school house near Richfield Springs.
Frances married Alfred Earing on Dec. 2, 1929. He predeceased her on May 3, 1996.
Frances spent many years assisting on the farm as well as being a homemaker and a mother. She also worked for years at Old Blue in Cooperstown with Mrs. Brush and Mildred Welch.
She loved sewing and working in her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by a son, Robert Earing of Eggleston Road; a grandson, Robert Earing Jr. of Valrico, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Albena Baldwin of Richfield; a brother, Leslie Domion of Herkimer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Arthur and Eugene Earing; five sisters and eight brothers.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Westford Cemetery.

Gertrude Hoag
MORRIS — Gertrude Hoag, 77, of Morris, went to be with her Lord on June 24, 2001.
She was born in Delhi on July 30, 1923, the daughter of Robert and Irene (Butler) Wilson.
She was married to Glenn Hoag in Morris, on Oct. 28, 1939. He died Aug. 6, 1979.
She was employed by the H.W. Naylor Co., of Morris, for more than 25 years and retired several years ago.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morris and also the Methodist Women's Group.
She is survived by her son, Richard Hoag and his wife, Janice, of Oneonta; her daughter, Dorothy Dibble and her husband, Everest, of Gilbertsville. Her grandchildren include Jeffrey Pedersen and his wife, Laurie, of Gilbertsville; Jerome Pedersen and his wife, Julie, of Morris; Joanna Lobdell and her friend, Ken Ballard, of Morris; Ed Dibble and his wife, Patti, of Gilbertsville; Letisha Bush and her husband, D.J., of Otego; Ed Hoag and his friend, April Hunter, of Oneonta; Cheryl Cotton and her husband, Wayne, of Wells Bridge; Denise Harmon and her husband, Tim, of Bainbridge; Dan Wormuth and his wife, Leila, of Mount Upton; and Michael Wormuth and his fiancee, Heather, of North Carolina. Great-grandchildren include, Corey Escobar, Nicholas Bush, Ayana Hoag, Shawn Hoag, Todd and Greg Harmon, Holly Stone, Allyssa and Erica Cotton, Kristy, Justin, Jennifer and Jared Pedersen, Jeffrey Stanford, Ed Dibble, Tim Dibble and wife, Lisa, Jason Dunham and fiancee, Patti, Stephanie and Larissa Dunham, Nathan and Danelle Cotton. She is also survived by a great-great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Pedersen; her brothers, Kenneth Wilson and friend, Jeanette, of Delhi and Arthur Hoag and his wife, Pauline, of Idaho; her sister and brother-in-law, Leah and Durward Valentine; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by two grandsons, James Pedersen in 1985, and Jason Lobdell in 1998.
Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Morris on Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Fiske officiating. Burial will be in Hillington Cemetery in Morris. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2001, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris. The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m.
Those who wish are asked to donate to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Hal Niemiller
DELHI — Harold M. "Hal" Niemiller, 71, of Delhi, and Summerfield, Fla., died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
The son of the late Charles and Emma (Stemmer) Niemiller, he was born July 4, 1929, in Hamilton, Ohio, where he spent most of his life.
His first wife, Jean Wallace, whom he married in 1950, died in 1979. On Aug. 24, 1995, he married Betty (Cornell) Clark in the First Presbyterian Church in Delhi.
A brick mason by trade, he also taught at D. Russell Lee Vocational School in Hamilton, Ohio, subsequently moving to the Ocala, Fla., area in 1978, where he established the "Mr. Donuts" franchise. (Now Dunkin Donuts and operated by his son.)
He was a member of the Belleview (Fla.) United Methodist Church, Washington Masonic Lodge #17 in Hamilton, Ohio, Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite Consistory and was past chief of the Fairfield Township ( Ohio Fire Department).
An avid sportsman, Hal enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and racquetball.
Surviving are his wife of six years, Betty Clark Niemiller, of Delhi; four sons, Timothy and Larry Niemiller of Hamilton, Ohio, and Terry and Danny Niemiller of Ocala, Fla.; a stepson, David Clark, of Delhi; a stepdaughter, Sandra Craft, of Bloomville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Susie Cornell, of Stamford.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home in Delhi. The Rev. Arvid Whitmore and the Rev. Mitchell Bush will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Delhi.
There are no calling hours, but, following the service, the family will receive friends at a reception at the First Presbyterian Church in Delhi.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Delhi Fire Department E.M.S.

Dorothy M. Walter
LAURENS — Dorothy M. Walter, 77, of Laurens, died Saturday morning, June 23, 2001, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
She was born June 17, 1924, in Newark, N.J., the daughter of John and Carrie (Dorflein) Cooper.
She married Earl Walter Sr. on Sept. 21, 1946, in Peekskill. He died April 15, 1994.
Dorothy had been a resident of Laurens since 1955.
She had been a longtime employee of the Laurens Central School prior to her retirement as a secretary.
She was a member of the Laurens American Legion Auxiliary and the Cee Jay Golf Course. She was a former member of the Laurens Ambulance Squad.
She enjoyed working in her flower gardens as well as arts and crafts.
She is survived by a son, Earl Walter Jr., of Cicero; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Isler, of Cazenovia; two grandsons, Jason and Joshua Isler, of Cazenovia; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Orial Ooms.
There will be no services or calling hours. Cremation will take place at the Hillington Crematory in Morris.
Donations have been requested to either the Laurens Ambulance Squad or the American Cancer Society in memory of Dorothy M. Walter.
Funeral arrangements are by the Bookhout Funeral Home in Oneonta and Otego.
Maynard H. Crounse
ONEONTA — Graveside memorial services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Glenwood Cemetery in Oneonta, for Maynard H. Crounse, who died April 23, 2001. The Rev. C. Spencer vanGulick, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church in Oneonta, will officiate.
Funeral arrangements are by the Bookhout Funeral Home in Oneonta.
Lucile DeAndrade
SOUTH KORTRIGHT — Lucile Carpenter DeAndrade, 77, formerly of Flagler Beach, Fla., and Cheshire, Conn., died on June 25, 2001, in Stanardsville, Va., from complications of a stroke suffered on Oct. 1, 2000.
She was born Oct. 1, 1923, in South Kortright, the daughter of Alice and Melvin Carpenter.
She graduated from South Kortright Central School in 1941, attended St. Lawrence University and graduated from the Adelphi College School of Nursing in 1947. Ms. DeAndrade received nursing training at Queen's General Hospital in New York and was a staff nurse at the Margaretville Hospital. She was on the teaching staff of Kingston Hospital and was the education director at Children's Hospital in Honolulu.
After raising her children, she worked at the Gaylord Rehabilitation Center in Connecticut and was a charge nurse at Meadowbrook Manor in Florida.
Ms. DeAndrade remained very active in her latter years and became an accomplished ballroom dancer.
She is survived by her children and their families, Kim DeAndrade, Cathy Johnson and granddaughter, Solana, of Medford, Mass.; Jack and Miwako DeAndrade and granddaughter, Zayn, of Tokyo, Japan; and Renee DeAndrade and grandson, Seth, of Charlottesville, Va. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Delos Mallette, of Northville; and her nieces, Susan Mallette, of Paris, Ky., and Nora Mallette, of Delhi.
Her dear friend John Garramone, of Flagler Beach, Fla., predeceased her.
She will be missed and fondly remembered by her many lifelong friends.
The funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the South Kortright Community Church in South Kortright, with Karen Porto officiating. Interment immediately following at the Valley View Cemetery in Roses Brook. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2001, at the MacArthur Funeral Home in Hobart.
Donations in her memory may be sent to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Englewood, CO 80112.

Elizabeth P. Cramer
UNADILLA — Mrs. Elizabeth Pazel Cramer, formerly of Bridge Street in Unadilla, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cramer was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Vandling, Pa., the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Kleinbauer) Pazel.
She graduated from Vandling High School.
In June 1951, at the Sacred Heart Church in Sidney, she married Fred Cramer. They shared 30 years of marriage.
Mrs. Cramer was a homemaker and also worked in Scintilla, living most of her life in Unadilla.
She was a member of Grange 757 Unadilla, Unadilla Food Pantry, Joyce-Bell American Legion Post #0578, Senior Citizens Club of Wells Bridge, Unadilla Senior Citizens Club, Unadilla Women's Club and the Sacred Heart Parish in Sidney.
Survivors include her sisters, Kathyrn E. Donofrio and Margaret Donofrio, both of Randolph, N.J., and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Cramer; her brother, Frank Pazel; her sisters, Anna Bachman and Florence Chesko; and her stepmother, Elizabeth Todd Pazel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Ambrose Church in Unadilla, with the Rev. Joseph J. Schuck officiating.
Burial will take place in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Unadilla.
The family will receive friends at the Joyce Funeral Home Inc. on Thursday, June 28, 2001, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Floyd A. Tuckey Jr.
SIDNEY — Floyd A. Tuckey Jr., 80, of Sidney, passed away Monday, June 25, 2001, at the Skilled Nursing Facility in Sidney.
He was born Dec. 18, 1920, son of the late Floyd A. and Vivian Tuckey Sr., in Bainbridge.
Floyd served his country in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged.
He married Dorothy Tremper on June 28, 1949, at the Sidney United Methodist Church. She predeceased him on Feb. 24, 1997.
Mr. Tuckey was employed by E.C.D. of Bendix in Sidney for more than 40 years, before retirement.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sidney and the VFW Corp. R.H. Arrandale Post #7914 in Sidney.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Marjorie Tuckey, of Cortland; two grandsons, Christopher and Michael Tuckey, of Cortland; half brother, Kenneth Tuckey, of Sidney; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 29, 2001, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge at 1 p.m., with the Rev. David Masland, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Sidney, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Sidney.

John E. Milavec
EAST GLENVILLE — John E. Milavec, 67, of East Glenville, died suddenly after being taken to Ellis Hospital in Schenectady on Tuesday, June 26, 2001.
Born in Worcester, Mr. Milavec earned degrees at the State University College at Cortland and the State University at Albany. In education, as a college administrator, Mr. Milavec was admissions director at SUNY Albany and Syracuse College of Forestry, dean of students at Mohawk Valley Community College and vice president of Monroe College in the Bronx, where he had become a consultant after retiring in 1994.
He was a veteran of the Air Force; his rank was staff sergeant.
Mr. Milavec was a member of the Board of Trustees of Monroe College and the Capital City Task Force for AARP, where he worked as a lobbyist. He was seated on the Board for the New York State Bureau of Funeral Directing where he actively participated in pre-need legislation and the adoption of continuing educational requirements for New York state licensed funeral directors.
A member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception when he moved to Glenville in 1994, he was an active member of his church, serving as an usher. He was instrumental in creating the church's Welcome Committee for new members. He was a member of the Resurrection Committee, the Knights of Columbus and Renew 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Joan M. (Carlson) Milavec, whom he married on Sept. 13, 1954; his daughter, Karla, and son-in-law, Peter Empie, of Scotia; and his son, David, and daughter-in-law, Wendy Milavec, of Colonie. He was the beloved brother of Anne Vaughn of East Worcester and Mary Bobnick of Worcester, and cherished grandfather of Shaun and Kimberly Empie and Jennifer, Matthew and Bryten Milavec.
He was father of the late Michael Milavec, who passed away in 1976, and was also predeceased by Frank, James, Anthony and Stanley Milavec and Amelia Muehl and Frances Bobnick.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2001, at 9:15 a.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville thence to the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 10 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be at the Glenville Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Worcester.

UNADILLA — Mrs. Elizabeth Pazel Cramer, formerly of Bridge Street in Unadilla, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.

Floyd A. Tuckey Jr.
