Harold enjoyed farming in Palmyra on his brothers farm. His hobby for many years was raising buffalo, which he first brought here from out west. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Thomas) Klemann, Doreen (Harvey) Ihle, Denise Breen (Ed Jackson), Darcy (Ruth) Allen, Daniel Allen (Jerilyn Clark); sisters, Elinor (Bill) Gerth, Alice Reeves, Kathleen Frey (Bill Brasser); 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews & extended family & friends. Gerry loved to cook & bake especially for her family & to share with her friends. She was particularly proud of Copy Central, a business she started with her husband Jack, & continued to work to serve her customers until her last day in this life. ONTARIO - Entered into peace at home on November 7, 2006 at age 86. Predeceased by his parents, John & Martha Crombe, son Barry Crombe, brothers, Clyde & Ray Crombe, & sister Beatrice Finlan. Survived by his wife Pauline "Polly"; daughter Diane (Timothy) McCallum; grandchildren Mindy (Daniel) Shute, Michael McCallum; siblings, Ross (Pearl) Crombe, Robert (Reta) Crombe, Arlene McLellan; many nieces & nephews. Bill was an Army Veteran of WWII, a 1946 graduate of SUNY Geneseo & 1968 graduate of the U of R. He dedicated his life to education as a teacher & administrator in the Webster & Wayne Central School Districts, & was an active member of the Ontario Historical Society, Ontario Rotary, & North Ontario United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service celebrating Bill’s life will be held 7PM Monday at North Ontario United Methodist Church.
