Survived by her sons, Ken (Carolyn), Bill (Roberta), Gary & daughter Sharon Snover (Bob); brother-in-law Laurence Wahl; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Wilde, Jeffrey, Jamie, Bill & Erin Hammond; 5 great grandchildren, Lauren & Taylor Wilde, Samantha, Nicholas, & Grace Hammond. Laura was a retiree of Wayne Central School & loved being at home with her family around her.

Dennie, Floyd F.
PALMYRA - On March 26, 2009 at age 94. Predeceased by his first wife, Susan; and step-son, David Toft. Survived by his wife, Althea; daughter, Nancy Smith; son, Marvin (Diane) Shurgot; step-daughter, Martha (Robert) Ebert; step-sons, Craig, Robert and John Toft; brother, Carlton (Anne) Dennie; grandchildren, Lori (Tim) Cady, Kathleen (Rick) Schopinsky, Ellen Shurgot, Kelley Fitzgerald and William T. Fitzgerald; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Floyd was a WWII veteran and past commander (life member) of Post 6778 VFW in Palmyra, the Palmyra volunteer Fire Department and American Legion. Floyd retired after 42 years of service with Garlock Manufacturing and was a communicant for over 70 years at Zion Episcopal Church where he was the former Sexton. Floyd also volunteered many hours at the Canandaigua VA Hospital.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 29 from 2-5PM at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 East Jackson St, Palmyra. A Service will be offered on Monday, March 30 at 2PM at the Zion Episcopal Church, 120 East Main Street, Palmyra. Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 11 AM in Palmyra Village cemetery. VICTOR/PALMYRA - passed away at Thompson Hospital on February 17, 2009 at age 66. Predeceased by his father Elmer (Dick) Halsey; grandparents, Ellsworth & Mary Halsey & Nicholas & Lillian Just; step-son Charles Forman; mother-in-law Hazel Young. He is survived by his loving wife Janice Appell Halsey; daughter Sandra; mother Mary; sister Darlene (Harry) Matteson of Palmyra; brother Michael (Linda) Halsey of Manchester; step-sons, John (Julie) Forman & "special kid" Mark (Kalona) Forman; step-daughter Shannon Demorest; 7 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; "Papa’s Heart-Gabrielle"; nieces, nephews & extended family. Bob was a sports enthusiast & his baseball team was his NY Yankees. He was a lifelong Oakland Raiders fan. He also enjoyed NASCAR with Dale Earnhart & Dale, Jr. being his drivers. Bob enjoyed playing Bingo & made many friends doing that. He recently began meeting with some of his high school friends on the first Saturday of each month to have coffee & catch up on conversation.
