Rosina Aloi Piraino, 90, of Syracuse died Saturday. She was born in Sicily, Italy. She retired in 1972 after several years at Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. Her husband, Antonio, died in 1992. Survivors: A daughter, Carmela Mancini of Liverpool; three sons, Gaetano and John, both of Liverpool, and James of Albany; a brother, Giuseppe Aloi of Sicily; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Joan A. Earley Sanson, 69, of Syracuse died Friday. Born in Syracuse, she previously lived in Bridgeport for 40 years and had a winter home in Citrus Ridge, Davenport, Fla. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church, the VFW Post 8440 Auxiliary in Bridgeport and the American Legion Post 359 Auxiliary in East Syracuse. Her husband, George, died in 1997. Clarence I. Snyder, 88, of 1021 Waterloo-Geneva Road, Waterloo, formerly of LaFayette, died Friday. Born in Waterloo, he graduated from Waterloo High School. He was an equipment operator at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. He was a member of the Elks Club and chairman of the Eldorado Club, both in Las Vegas, Nev. His wife, Mary, died in 1993. A son, Floyd, also died previously. Survivors: Four daughters, Patricia Ortiz of Syracuse, Phillis Baity of Seneca Falls, Linda Patrick of McAllen, Texas, and Liz Hayes of LaFayette; five sons, Paul Snyder of Rochester, Philip Snyder of Waterloo, Richard Snyder and Robin Snyder, both of Seneca Falls, and Richard Peterson of Baldwinsville; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Solomon Y. Stephens, 81, of 915 Onondaga Ave., Syracuse, died Tuesday. He was born in Waterboro, S.C. He retired in 1996 after 33 years at Beak & Skiff. He was a former member of Deep Creek Baptist Church in South Carolina. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Mattie, died in 1996. Survivors: Three daughters, Martha A. Born in Carlisle, Pa., he graduated from Alfred Agricultural & Technical College and had lived in East Syracuse 10 years before moving to Canastota in 1970. He retired in 1982 from Carrier Corp. in Syracuse after 10 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Edwin J. "Bud" Barney Jr., 84, of Stiles Road, Van Buren, died Saturday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego. Born in Van Buren, he lived in Phoenix and Oswego several years before returning to Van Buren several years ago. He graduated from Baldwinsville Academy. He was a truck farmer. He sold chickens and produce at the Syracuse Regional Market for several years. Survivors: Several nieces and nephews. Fremont "Fuddy" Fadden, 96, formerly of Cambridge died Saturday at Seneca Hill Manor in Oswego. He was born in Aldenbrook. He retired in 1970 as a millwright at Nestle Co. in Fulton after more than 20 years. He had also been a self-employed farmer in Minetto. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Minetto and Nestle's Recreation Association. His wife, the former Thusa M. Martin, died in 1993.
