Preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Harvey J. Burkhart; husband, Ralph S. Voorhees, Jr. DDS; brother, Kenneth M. Davenport and son-in-law, Henry W. Burgess. Survived by her daughters, Lou V. Burgess of CT, Joan V. (John W. ) Lovell of MA, Helen V. (Richard A., Jr.) Quodomine, and Ann V. Hanneken both of Pittsford, NY; grandchildren, Jane Fitting, Sarah Sasse, Margaret Teichmann, Carol Robinson, Peter Lovell, Susan Lovell, Richard D. Quodomine, Mairi Quodomine, Christopher Hanneken, and Jeffrey Hanneken; niece, Jean Crawford and nephew, William Davenport; 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Voorhees graduated from Emma Willard, Troy, NY and Connecticut College for Women in New London, CT. She was a life member of the Seventh District Federated Garden Clubs. She was also a member of the Cloverdale and Alpine Garden Clubs and a founder of the Rochester Garden Center. An active member of Pussy Willow Twig of Rochester General Hospital and the Monroe County Dental Society Women's Auxiliary, the Century Club of Rochester, the Civic Music Association and Allen Creek PTA.

Mr. Britton was born in Rochester, NY on March 28, 1947, a son of the late James Meschi and Marion Britton. Mr. Britton never married and is survived by 3 brothers, Mr. David (Sharon) Meschi of Henrietta, Mr. Henry (Marti) Meschi of Riga, Mr. Andrew Meschi of Rochester; 2 sisters, Lotus and Lucile Meschi, both of Rochester; several nieces and nephews; 2 great nieces. He was predeceased by 1 brother, James Meschi. Also surviving is his dear companion, Joanne Orlando of LeRoy and Sophie.

Bowerman, Wilma Cooky: NEWARK: 83, of Washington St., died Sun. May 7. Survived by several cousins, Betty Hill of Manlius & Leon Cookman of N. Carolina, and several friends including Sharon Tellier and Barb & John Ochs of Newark. Predeceased by her husband, Col. Thomas Boerman in 1994. Wilma was born in Clyde, July 26, 1916, daughter of Harty & Lula Mae McCarthy Cookman. She retired in 1979 from Newark Developmental Center with 25 years of service. She had worked for the Federal Government in the far east (Tokyo) and for Social Security in Chicago for 10 years. She was a member of O. E. S. Chapter 100 of Clyde, Top of the Hill Retirees Club; Wayne Co. Human Society, Newark Public Library and Arcadia Senior Citizens. She played trombone in the Clyde Saxton Band. She formerly was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club and Newarks-Wayne Hospital Aux. Twiggs.
A Graveside Service will be held Wed. at 9:00 AM at East Newark Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice. Arr. : Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home.
