She retired in 1995 as an administrative assistant for South Huntington School District on Long Island after 12 years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Survivors: Her husband of 50 years, Louis; five sons, Ronald of Michigan, Kerry of Manlius, Robert of Baldwinsville, Lawrence of Canastota and Greg of Westchester; a sister, Anne Goetz of Huntington; 13 grandchildren. Dr. Arthur E. Spearing Jr., 76, of Waterville died Sunday. Born in Cortland, he lived in Manlius until moving to Maine in 1976 and Waterville in 1985. He graduated from Groton High School, Syracuse University and Upstate Medical Center. He retired in 1985 as an anesthesiologist. He worked at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center and St. Mary's Hospital in Syracuse from 1956 to '62. He was a clinical instructor of anesthesiology at Upstate Medical Center from 1961 to '72 and was chairman of anesthesiology at Community General Hospital in Syracuse from 1962 to '75. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 50 years, the former Shirley Engle; two daughters, LeeAnne Miller of Deansboro and Sharon Peckham of Chicago; two sons, Arthur E. III of Harrisburg, Pa., and Mark of Oriskany Falls; seven grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday in Grace Episcopal Church, 209 E. Main St., Waterville. No calling hours. He was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Simon Parise Post 9596 and American Legion Post 359. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Fannie Zerrillo, died in 2000. Reginald H. Cooper, 73, of Plantation, Fla., died Sunday. Born in Orange, Va., he lived in Bridgeport from 1978 to 1998. He retired in 1998 as a salesman for Sansons Distributor in Utica after 25 years and was self-employed as an Amway direct distributor for 17 years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8440 in Bridgeport. He was a member of Korean War Veterans of Central New York and Cicero American Legion Post 787. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife, the former Barbara LaPlante; two daughters, Lynette Paninski of Central Square and Nancy J. Roy O. Malmgren, 80, of Cooperstown died Monday of pneumonia. Born in Brockton, Mass., he graduated from Nottingham High School and Syracuse University. He lived in Manlius for many years and moved to Cooperstown in 2001. He retired as an electrical engineer at General Electric Co. in Syracuse after 33 years and later worked for RCA in Moorestown, N.J. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and also served in the Naval Reserve. His wife, Joyce E. Heller, died in 1978. Survivors: A daughter, Christine E.
