Beatrice Kuhn Conger, 91, of Syracuse died Tuesday at Loretto. Born in Sacramento, Calif., she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She retired in 1975 from Pass & Seymour. She was a former member of Elmwood Presbyterian Church. A son, Stanley, died previously. Survivors: Three daughters, Priscilla Meagher of Orlando, Fla., Joyce Will of Cypress, Texas, and Gloria Kreh of Homer; a son, George F. Doris Ann Crawley, 65, of 505 Valley Drive E., Chittenango, died Tuesday. Born in Gurn Spring, she lived in Pulaski 13 years before moving to Chittenango in 1984. She retired in 1988 as a high school business teacher for the Cazenovia and Pulaski school districts after 13 years. She then was a secretary in the physical plant at State University College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse for 10 years. She was a trustee and member of United Methodist Church of Chittenango and its United Methodist Women. She was a volunteer at Chittenango Middle School. Survivors: Two daughters, Heather Harmych of Adams and Heidi Crawley of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Viola Mau of Escondido, Calif.; a brother, Ralph Craw of Gurn Spring; two grandchildren, including Savannah Crawley of Chittenango, whom she raised. Clarence E. Erway, 82, formerly of Rider Avenue, Syracuse, died Wednesday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Owego, he graduated from Owego Free Academy. He retired in 1984 from Bristol Laboratories in Syracuse after 35 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a Rescue Mission volunteer for several years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Nettie Van DeWalker, died in 1990. Survivors: Three daughters, Karen Lanning of Marcellus, Linda Henderson of Fremont, Calif., and Cindy Erway of North Syracuse; a son, Kevin of Liverpool; three half-sisters, Carol Bouck of Cherry Valley, Sandra Nichols of Afton and Jeanetta Burroughs of Roxbury; three half-brothers, Creditt Erway of Jefferson, Harold Erway of Cherry Valley and Roger Erway of Cooperstown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Helen Doremus Hagen, 89, of 667 E. Hamilton Ave., Sherrill, died Monday. Born in Goshen, she lived in Red Hook 46 years before moving to Sherrill in 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of Girl Scouts, Northern Dutchess Mental Health, Meals on Wheels and Parent Teacher Association. Her husband, Lawrence, died in 2001. Bennie Manaseri, 83, of 705 National Lake Drive, Sylvan Beach, died Tuesday. Born in Oneida, he attended Oneida schools. He was a plumber and steamfitter for Oneida Ltd. Silversmiths and owned and operated Manaseri's Galley in Sylvan Beach. He was a member of Oneida Ltd. Retirement Club, Community Associated Clubs and American Legion Post 230 in Sherrill. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Thomas J. "Skitch" Pendergast, 47, of Tyler, Texas, died May 20 of glioma blastoma. Born in Syracuse, he lived in Clay and Syracuse 39 years until moving away in 1994. He graduated from St. John the Baptist Academy, State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville and State University of New York at Buffalo. He received a master's of business administration degree in 1999 from University of Texas at Tyler. He was a senior cost analyst engineer at United Technologies Carrier for 24 years. His father, Thomas A., died in 1983. Survivors: His wife of 22 years, the former Valerie Brennan; three daughters, Cara, Kelly and Laura, all of Tyler; a son, Michael of Tyler; his mother, Concetta Pendergast of Syracuse; a sister, Ann Kerwin of Fayetteville.
