Francis E. 'Buddy' DiCaprio

Francis E. "Buddy" DiCaprio, 74, of Austin Street, Amsterdam, passed away Monday morning at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born in Amsterdam on Jan. 12, 1929, the son of the late Frank "Jiggers" and Mary Murphy DiCaprio, he lived here his entire life and was a 1947 graduate of St. Mary's Institute.
For many years, he was a partner in the operation of the family business, DiCaprio's Diner on East Main Street, and later operated the DiCaprio's Caterers until 1988. He also worked for the Top Notch Tavern, The Municipal Golf Course Restaurant and the Cataract Care Center.
During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army at the Atomic Plant in Hanaford, Washington. Buddy was proud that his grandson followed in his footsteps as a member of the U.S. Marines.
His many memberships include being an officer and commodore of the Sacandaga Boat Club, past member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and U.S. Power Squadron, a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 209 Third Degree, and the Monsignor William A. Brown Assembly Fourth Degree and the Color Corps, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 101, Bigelow Weavers Assoc., and the Sons of Italy Foundation. Buddy was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, and for over forty years served as an usher. He was also a member of its Holy Name Society.
On Oct. 8, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Wanda J. Lucas. In addition to his beloved wife, his loving family includes his sons: Frank E. Jr. and his wife, Rosa DiCaprio, of Amsterdam, and Thomas S. and his wife, Diane DiCaprio, of Hagaman; his sister, T. Joan Felski, and her husband, Maurice, of Amsterdam; his grandchildren: Thomas Jr., Jennifer and Danielle DiCaprio of Hagaman; Pfc. Stephen M. DiCaprio, USMC, New River, N.C.; Ninochka, Francis Troy, and Krystal DiCaprio of Amsterdam. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert DiCaprio, of Tribes Hill. His wife, Elizabeth, survives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 156 E. Main St. The Very Rev. James J. Gulley will be celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave.
Interment with full military honors will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson. The Knights of Columbus will conduct a ritual at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and the Elks Lodge at 7 p.m. The family requests that contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Church Foundation, St. Mary's Institute, or GAVAC, all in care of the funeral home.
Josephine C. Wrobel
Mrs. Josephine C. Wrobel, 79, of Smith Street, Canajoharie, N.Y., died early Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at home following a brief illness.
She was born December 3, 1923, in Utica, NY, the daughter of Henry and Julia Loughlin Schreppel.
Mrs. Wrobel was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1943. She previously attended Utica Catholic School System.
Mrs. Wrobel was employed as a machine operator in the gum department of Beech-Nut Life Savers Co. in Canajoharie, retiring in June 1986. She was an area resident for over 65 years.
Mrs. Wrobel was a member of St. Peter's and Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Canajoharie.
She was a member of Canajoharie Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed traveling.
She married Laverne H. Wrobel on September 6, 1947, in the town of Canajoharie, NY. He died on August 10, 1994.
She was predeceased also by 1 granddaughter, Heather M. Wrobel in 2002; 2 sisters, Dorothy Spranger and Marion Allen; and 1 brother, Arthur Schreppel.
Survivors include 1 son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth H. and Theresa Wrobel of Caroga Lake, NY; 1 daughter, Catherine J. Wrobel of Johnstown, NY; 1 sister, Irene Fredericks of Stone Arabia, NY; 2 grandchildren, Kristy Wrobel of Wytheville, VA, and Kenneth E. Wrobel of Bluefield, VA; 1 great-granddaughter, McKenna Jo Wrobel of Bluefield, VA.
A prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2003, at the Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home Inc., 20 Otsego St., Canajoharie, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Peter's & Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Cliff Street, Canajoharie, with Father William J. Gaffigan officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda, NY. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 21, at the funeral home.

James T. Kilcullen Sr.
Mr. James T. Kilcullen Sr., 61, Old Trail Road, Johnstown, died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, following a long illness.
He was born December 31, 1941 in Green Island, a son of the late James and Regina Berger Kilcullen.
Mr. Kilcullen was employed as a diesel mechanic for Truck Stops of America and Travel Port of America of Fultonville, for 39 years until his retirement in 1999 due to illness.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Andrest Kilcullen who he married July 27, 1963. Three sons Lonny B. of Rhode Island, James T. II of Ames, and John B. of Johnstown; daughter Kellysue M. of Johnstown; brothers Donald of Gloversville, and George of Pennsylvania; sisters Peggy of Fort Plain, Regina of Schenectady, and Ann of Johnstown. Several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday evening at 7 p.m., at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Friends and family may call on Friday prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Cremation will be at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
Elizabeth Florence Burr Roddy

Elizabeth Florence Burr Roddy, 88, of Johnstown, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown, following a long illness. Born Oct. 3, 1914, in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Mary Kadlitz Burr. She attended Gloversville schools.
Mrs. Roddy was a glove worker for many years for Superb Glove Co.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
She married Edward R. Roddy on June 17, 1936. He died on Feb 11, 1991. She is survived by 1 daughter, June M. Manfredi of Hyde Park; 2 sons, James E. Roddy of Johnstown, and John J. Roddy of Rotterdam Junction; 10 grandchildren: John Manfredi and his wife Denise, James Manfredi and his wife Cindy, Theresa BiaLosuknia and her husband Steve, Marueen Manfredi, Gina Manfredi, Shannon Roddy, Kevin Roddy, James M. Roddy, Kristina Muller and her husband Mike, Michelle Mylott and her husband Jeff; and one great-grandchild, Jillian Marie Muller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, Johnstown, with the Rev. James Fitzmaurice, pastor of Holy Trinity Parish, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home.

Richard M. Case
Richard M. Case, 70, of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at home after a long illness.
He was born in Johnstown on September 29, 1934, a son of the late Raymond J. and Maude Hisert Case.
Mr. Case served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Gloversville V.F.W. and the American Legion.
Richard was employed as a leather worker for several local tanneries until his retirement in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Phillips Case, whom he married on July 13, 1957; one son, Richard J. Case of Mayfield; three daughters, Cindy Case of North Greenbush, Sandra Case of Johnstown and Jo Ann Case of Iowa; one brother, Lawrence Case of Johnstown; one sister, Ethel Girard of Gloversville; seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, New York 12078.

Cindy M. Vokins
Cindy M. Vokins, 47, of 482 County Highway 151, St. Johnsville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002 at her home after a long illness.
She was born January 27, 1955 in Schenectady, the daughter of Eleanor I. (Jensen) Vokins and the late Davis W. Vokins Sr. Cindy was a graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah High School, class of 1973 and was a lifelong resident of the town of Oppenheim.
Miss Vokins was last employed for 20 years at Niagara Mohawk working in Troy, Cobleskill, Schenectady and her main office in Gloversville. At one time she was a hairdresser in Herkimer.
In her leisure, Cindy dedicated her time in volunteering for the Special Olympics. She was also an avid fan of the Dolgeville baseball and football teams and at one time, coached for the Dolgeville Little League.
Cindy considered her family her foremost priority, she gave her full attention to the needs and concerns of her mother and siblings. She also devoted much of her time and love in the care of her nieces, nephews, great-nephew and great-niece.
Survivors include her mother, Eleanor; a brother, Davis W. Vokins Jr. and wife Emma of St. Johnsville; 2 sisters, Sandra Mosenthin and husband Ted of Salisbury Center and Linda Desmond and husband Allen of Ilion; 5 nephews, Davis W. Vokins III, Michael Vokins, Frank Desmond and wife Heather, Corey Desmond and Matthew Mosenthin; 3 nieces, Joelle and Danielle Desmond and Marisa Mosenthin; 1 great-nephew, Michael Desmond and 1 great-niece, Morgan Desmond; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. from the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Saturday, August 3, 2002 from noon until the time of the services. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Jesse J. Nabinger
Jesse J. Nabinger, age 18, of E. Main St., Fonda, NY, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Wintergreen Park, Canajoharie, NY; a victim of an apparent accidental drowning in the Canajoharie Gorge.
He was born August 3, 1984 in Gloversville, NY; the son of James Sr. and Sandra Gay Nabinger. He lived in Gloversville as a child and was later educated in Lampasas, Texas and at the Marine Military Academy in Hadegan, TX. He has resided in Fonda the past year and was employed at Truckstops of America in Fultonville and by Lexington Center.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra Hackbirth of Lampasas, TX; father, James Nabinger Sr. of Ephratah, NY; brother, James Nabinger Jr. of Fonda, NY; sisters, Tammy Vogle of Gloversville, NY, Michelle Hallett of Kempner, TX and Melissa Hoff of Lampasas, TX; brothers, Danny Smith Jr. of Kennedy, TX and Aaron Smith of Anchorage, AK; maternal grandmother, Norma Raymond Jones of Gloversville, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Jesse was predeceased by his grandparents, Herbert Gay, Chester Jones and Henry Nabinger.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home Inc., 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Winston Hallett officiating. Interment will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Kempner Cemetery, Kempner, TX.
Gail Murrall Edwards
Gail Murrall Edwards, 71, of Ridge St., and a 42 year resident of Blood Street, Hartford, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on Sept. 21, 1932 in Mayfield, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Clark and Elizabeth Mabel (Murrall) Edwards.
Gail was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Anolia Chapter. She was a member of the Hartford United Methodist Church and a member of the Christian Women's organization.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, her first husband, Robert Webb, and her second husband, Peter Edwards, and a grandson, David Landers, predeceased her.
Survivors include her three daughters, Deborah Viehmann and her husband, Ron, of Hudson Falls; Dawn Landers and her husband, Bartholomew, of Mayfield and Babs Way of Queensbury; two sons, Jeffrey Webb of Hudson Falls and Martin Webb and his wife, Linda, of Hudson Falls; five grandchildren, Michael Sellingham, Beth Sellingham, Danielle Landers, April Way and Darcy Way; three step-grandchildren, Melissa, Stacey and Angela Bristol, all of Hudson Falls; five great grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Vandemeer of Pleasant Valley; a niece, Jennifer Vandemeer of Hawthorne, NY and a nephew, Jan Vandemeer of Arizona.

William J. Houtz

William J. Houtz, 53, of Pine Avenue, Johnstown, died Thursday at Albany Medical Center.
He was born in Gloversville, NY, on May 15, 1949, the son of David and Harriet Zilka Houtz. He was a lifelong resident of Johnstown and graduated from Johnstown High School in 1968. He graduated from RETS Electronics School and the IBEW Apprenticeship Training Program.
Mr. Houtz was employed as a superintendent for the Turner Construction Company of Albany. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 236 for thirty years. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Antlers Country Club in Ft. Johnson. Totally committed to the betterment of education, he served as a member and vice president of the Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education. He played semi-professional football for the Glove Cities Colonials and coached Little League Football. He volunteered as shot clock keeper for the Johnstown High School basketball team and coached YMCA basketball. He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church.
He married his beloved wife, Margaret Gugliuzza, on August 28, 1976. He was a devoted father to his three wonderful sons, Joseph R., Daniel A., and Christopher D. Houtz, all of Johnstown. Other family members include his loving aunt, Theresa Sweet; his uncle, Clarence; and cousin, Sandra Jo. Uncles, including Frank Houtz, aunts, cousins and countless cherished friends also survive.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father James T. Fitzmaurice at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 4 Nicholas St., Johnstown, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Ehle Funeral Home, 15 North William St., Johnstown. Mrs. Sharon L. Alexander, 45, of Stone Arabia Road., Fonda, died Thursday evening at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam after being stricken at home Wednesday.
Born on February 8, 1957 in Patchogue, Long Island, she was the daughter of Alois and Elizabeth Mercier Wolny. Sharon was educated in Long Island and has lived in Fonda since 1992.
She was employed by Stewart's, working at various stores throughout the Mohawk Valley, most recently working in Johnstown as assistant manager.
Sharon enjoyed gardening, photography, restoring old furniture, sewing, interior decorating, cooking, and cruising in her CRX.
Survivors include her husband, John Alexander, whom she married on July 29, 1995; her mother, Elizabeth Wolny of Patchogue, Long Island; a daughter, Melissa Derby of Fonda, NY; 2 step daughters, Jessica and Tiffany Alexander, both of Rensselaer; 2 brothers, Bruce Wolny of Punta Gorda, FL; and Wayne Wolny of East Yaphank, Long Island; a sister, Bette Lou Fletcher of Sag Harbor, Long Island; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville. the calling hours will be on Sunday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Helen A. Failing, 79, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, at her home in Johnstown, N.Y. following a long illness. Born in Ephratah, N.Y. on May 25, 1924, the daughter of Earl F. and Catherine Mae Empie Abel, Mrs. Failing attended the Ephratah Elementary School, Johnstown High School and Ft. Plain High School, where she graduated in 1941. While at Ft. Plain High School, she won several public speaking competitions, including the Montgomery County American Legion Oratorical contest. Her public speaking skills were often utilized later in life to promote education and learning in New York state. In 1959, she entered Oneonta State Teachers College and graduated three years later with a B.S. in English through an accelerated academic program. While in college, she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi national academic honor society, the Bell and Dragon Honor Society, president and member of the college English Club, president and member of the Student National Education Assoc., secretary and member of Alpha Psi Omega theater arts fraternity and was a member of the campus dramatics group.
After graduation, Mrs. Failing taught fifth grade at McNab Elementary School in Gloversville for three years. While at McNab, she won two fellowships to continue her post-graduate education. She received an M.S. degree in English from Oneonta State College in 1965. She served as an assistant dean of students at Oneonta during the 1965-66 school years and then returned to her true vocation of teaching at Glebe Street Elementary School in Johnstown until her retirement in June 1986. In 1973, she received an Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year of America Award. In 1984, she was appointed to the Fulton-Montgomery Community College Board of Trustees, where she played an active role until 1990 when she resigned for health reasons.
In 1953, she was elected president of the Wheelerville PTA and in 1956 was appointed assistant director of the Mohawk Valley District PTA. In 1957, she was appointed to the State Board of Managers of the N.Y. Congress of Parents and Teachers, which she represented at various PTA National Conferences held in the late 1950a. She also served as vice president of the Fulton County Arts Council.
Mrs. Failing is survived by her husband, Radford W. Failing of Johnstown, whom she married May 30, 1942; two sons, William R. Failing of Broadalbin, N.Y. and Terry J. Failing of Stone Arabia, N.Y.; and one sister, Eileen A. Aungier of Tully, N.Y., nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Services on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003 at noon at the Ehle Funeral Home, 15 N. William St., Johnstown, N.Y. Cremation will take place at Leatherstocking Crematory in Cherry Valley, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnstown Public Library, Mt. Valley Hospice or JAVAC.
Thomas D. Pollard
Mr. Thomas D. Pollard, 79, of Union Street, Gloversville, died Friday, August 22, 2003 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, following a long illness.
He was born November 25, 1923 in Gloversville, a son of the late Thomas and Geraldine Grayson Pollard.
Mr. Pollard was a 1946 graduate of Gloversville High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Morgan State Teachers College in Baltimore, Mayland, and his master's degree from Syracuse University.
He was a member of the Johnstown AME Zion Church.
Thomas served as a former board member and trustee at church, was a member of the former Gloversville Elks, Gloversville Kiwanis, and Gloversville VFW Post 2077. He was also a member of the Sir William Johnson Boy Scout Council and served on the committee for Physical Fitness for Eagle Scouts.
Mr. Pollard was a WWII Navy Veteran from 1943 until 1946.
He was employed as a Remedial Reading Teacher for the Gloversville School District until his retirement in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Isabella Beekman Pollard, whom he married June 26, 1948; a son, Maurice Pollard of Saratoga Springs; a daughter, Michele Lallo of Gloversville; brother Henry Pollard of Gloversville; sisters Mildred Bowman of Johnstown, Jeraldine Beekman and Ellen Ligon, both of Gloversville. Also grandchildren Tyrone Pollard of Saratoga Springs, Oshanda Pollard of Northville and Thomas Lallo of Gloversville; five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
He was predeceased by two sisters Myrtie Gray and Yvonne Pollard and a brother, Donald Pollard.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Friends and family may call on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.

Salvatore 'John' Del Savio

Mr. Salvatore "John" Del Savio, 79, of Gloversville, died Sunday at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility. He was born September 21, 1923 in Gloversville, son of the late Carmen A. and Julia Luizzi Del Savio. He was educated in Gloversville schools, and served in the Navy during WW II, stationed in Okinawa and Iwo Jima. Early in his life he was a glove cutter; most of his life he was self-employed as a painting contractor. He also worked as a painter for the Johnstown School District for 19 years, retiring in 1986. Mr. Del Savio was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Holy Name Society and social club of the church. He was a life member of the VFW Post 2077 in Gloversville. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Handy Del Savio, whom he married September 14, 1946; two sons, John Anthony Del Savio and James Earl Del Savio, both of Gloversville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Del Savio was predeceased by a sister, Carmella Rose; and two brothers, Joseph Del Savio and Vincenzo "James" Del Savio. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Reverend David Tressic, pastor, as celebrant. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 147 Bleecker Street, Gloversville. Burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Funeral for Frank John Bianco, 47, Lawton, Oklahoma, was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mr. Herman Lawrence, deacon, officiating.
A wake service was held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Bianco died Wednesday, Aug. 20, in Lawton. Burial took place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born May 29, 1956 in Lawton to John B. and Rose M. Bianco. He grew up in Lawton and was a graduate of Lawton High School. He operated Bianco's Italian Restaurant for many years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lisa Bianco and Maleah Ann Bianco, both of Lawton and Lauren Michelle Bianco, Las Vegas; a son, John Frank Bianco, Las Vegas; his mother, Rose M. Bianco, Lawton; a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Jan Bianco, Tulsa; his companion, Sherry Watson, Lawton; a niece, Christy Bianco; two nephews, John Parks Lanford and Jacob Lanford; his uncle, Pasquale Mercadante, Gloversville, NY.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Nicholas C. Clute
Nicholas C. Clute, 20, of E. Montgomery Street, Johnstown, died Sunday, August 24, 2003 at home after being stricken.
He was born April 23, 1983 in Gloversville.
Nick was employed with the Keymark Corporation at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Quillan Clute, whom he married September 29, 2002; a son, Gavin Nicholas Clute; daughter, Brianna Quillan; brothers, Adam, Ben and Joshua, all of Johnstown; his parents, Carlton and Louise Clute of Johnstown; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Clute of Gloversville; maternal grandmother, Grace Zimmerman of Johnstown; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Jo-Ann Leggiero Clute, who died September 1, 1984.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mayfield Cemetery.

Beverly F. Lalime
Beverly F. (Luke, Croft, Welch) Lalime of 72 Wallens Hill, Barkhamsted, entered into rest on Sunday, August 24, 2003. She was the loving wife of Eugene Robert Lalime. born December 20, 1935 in Winsted, CT., the daughter of the late Albert and Etta (Benedict) Luke. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dennis Croft of Gloversville, NY and Thomas Croft of Peoria, AZ; one daughter, Autumn Welch of Barkhamsted; one brother, David Luke of East Hampton, CT; five sisters, Nancy Michell of Broadalbin, NY, Linda Luke of Waterbury, CT, Marion Simpson of North Haven, CT, Carol McGinn of Winsted, CT and Debbie Crossman of Winsted; three grandchildren, Matthew Croft, Heather Desrochers and Brittany Croft and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Chris Welch; and one brother, Wayne Luke.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Shea Funeral Home, 99 Wheeler Street, Winsted at 5 p.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Lynda Moore Abdulkadar

Lynda Moore Abdulkadar, 46, of Gloversville, died Monday at the Nathan Littauer Hospital. Born February 9, 1956, in Ridgewood, NJ, she was a graduate of Ridgewood High School and later became a certified lab technician.
She lived in the Cape Cod, Mass. area for several years moving to Gloversville in 1992. She was employed as a lab technician by the Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannisport, Mass. and later by St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam. She worked as an eye technician for the Cataract Eye Center, Gloversville and at the time of her death she was employed at the Amsterdam Cancer Center as a lab technician.
Mrs. Abdulkadar is survived by her husband, Ibrahim Abdulkadar, whom she married on August 21, 1999; one daughter, Shannon Moore of Gloversville; two brothers, Charles Megargee of NY City, NY and Jeffrey Megargee of Ridgewood, NJ; several nieces, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hollenbeck Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville with the Rev. Wayne Jones, pastor of the Fremont St. United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
