He graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School in 1988 and State University College at Oswego in 1992. He was a robotics engineer and designed automated circuit systems for M.S. Kennedy of Syracuse for 15 years. Survivors: His fiancee, Becky Romeo; a daughter, Emily Rose Stoutenger; his parents, Sharon A. and Raymond E. Stoutenger Sr. of Cicero; two sisters, Polly A. Elaine C. Finney Sturdy, 90, of George Street, Constantia, died Sunday. Born in Schenectady, she lived in Detroit before moving to Constantia in 1975. She was a member of Constantia Congregational Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a past troop leader with the Girl Scouts of America. Survivors: Her husband of 67 years, Frederick L.; two daughters, Louise Ward of Charlottesville, Va., and Claire Marshall of Milford, Mich.; a sister, Constance Tallarico of Baltimore; four grandchildren. James Earl Sylvester Sr., 74, of Hartlot Street, Elbridge, died Sunday. He was born in Bethel. He retired in 1983 from Burkhardt Brothers. He was a member of American Legion Post 317 in Skaneateles Falls. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Louise Walter Sylvester, died in 1991; his son, Charles, died in 1979. Survivors: Three daughters, Sharon Arnold of Elbridge, Sandra Revette and Leila Sylvester, both of Port Byron; five sons, James and Ronald, both of Elbridge, Thomas of Weedsport, John of Michigan and Jerry of Texas; a sister, Lois Lee of Cato; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Irene Romanowska Szczech, 85, of Solvay, died Monday. Born in Solvay, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Solvay Seniors. She was a member of the Solvay Tigers. Charles W. Taylor, 80, of 100 Pedham Place, Liverpool, died Sunday at Loretto. He was born in Binghamton. He was former owner of Chuck Taylor's Body Shop Inc. in Liverpool. He was a member of Liverpool Elks Lodge 2348, Greater Syracuse Auto Body Association, Syracuse Turners and Liverpool American Legion Post 188. His wife, Beatrice, a daughter, Marion Stafford, and a son, Douglas, died in 2001. Albert P. Vaccaro, 73, of Liverpool, died Sunday at Rosewood Heights Health Center. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from State University College at Cortland and Syracuse University. He retired in 1991 from the West Genesee Central School District after 31 years as a teacher at Onondaga Road Elementary School. He was a member of New York State United Teachers and American Federation of Teachers. He was a founder and a member of the board of directors for West Genesee Employees Federal Credit Union. He organized Walk to Save the County. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: Two sisters, Anella and Anna Vaccaro, both of Syracuse; two brothers, Joseph P. of East Syracuse and Rinaldo A. of Cato. She retired in 1998 after 15 years as clerk for the Oswego County Legislature. In 1997, she was named Citizen of the Year by the Fulton City Republican Committee. She was a former member of American Businesswomen's Association in Fulton, secretary of the New York State Organization of Clerks of Legislative Boards and a member of the New York State Association of Counties.
