Anne Ferrara Walker Putaski, 72, of 233 Leonard St., Sherrill, died Tuesday. Born in Rochester, she graduated from Oneida High School in 1947. She retired in 1991 as a secretary in the design department of Oneida Ltd. She was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota, American Legion Post 230 Auxiliary in Sherrill, Oneida Ltd. Community Associated Clubs in Sherrill and Oneida Ltd. Retirement Club. Her first husband, Reay Walker, died in 1979. Survivors: Her husband, John Putaski; two daughters, Lisa Roman and Dianne Walker-Martinez, both of Sherrill; two sisters, Angela Allen of Sherrill and Mary L. Harrington of Lewisville,  Texas; a brother, John Ferrara of Newborn, N.C.; five grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Agatha's Church, Canastota. Burial, St. Helena's Cemetery. Orlando F. Rich Sr

Orlando F. "Earl" Rich Sr., 86, of 2137 state Route 13, Altmar, died Thursday. Born in Tarrytown, he attended Keyport, N.J., schools and lived in North Syracuse from 1957 to 1977 and also lived in Syracuse seven years. He owned and operated Earl Rich's Collision Service in Altmar for 25 years and Rich's Collision Service in North Syracuse for 27 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Pulaski and a former member of St. Mary's Church in Altmar. He was a member of Syracuse Lions Club. His wife, the former Catherine Baublitz, died in 1957. Survivors: A daughter, Joan Trumble of Altmar; a son, Orlando Jr. of Altmar; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. Monday in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial, Mount Olive Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours, 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski. Gerald Fay Shanahan, 81, of Minoa died Thursday. Born in Minoa, he graduated from Minoa High School in 1938 and the former New York State School of Agriculture at Morrisville in 1940. He retired in 1976 from Bristol-Myers Co. in Syracuse after 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the American Legion, both in Minoa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivor: His wife of 56 years, the former Betty Hanlon. Services: 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Russell H. Schepp & Son Funeral Home, 109 East Ave., Minoa, and 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Anthony J. Tartaro, 79, of Onondaga Hill died Wednesday. He was a life resident of Syracuse and attended Le Moyne College. He owned Tartaro Trucking Co. for 18 years. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Cooney-Nojaim Post. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Three daughters, Nina Tyler of Onondaga Hill, Christina J. Tartaro of Pulaski and Lori D. Tartaro of Syracuse; four sons, Anthony L. of Onondaga Hill, Joseph N. of Syracuse, Louis F. of Concord,  Calif., and Jeffrey V. of Parker, Ariz.; four sisters, Rose Farnett of Syracuse, Lucy VanDyke of Onondaga Hill, Frances Freeman of Whittier,  Calif., and Mary Speach of Glen Ridge, N.J.; two brothers, Louis of Fayetteville and Donald of DeWitt; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Butler-Badman Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 4504 W. Colleen M. Cahill Wrenn, 62, of 219 Slawson Drive, Camillus, died Thursday. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Camillus 36 years. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1957. She had been a sales clerk at Hess Department Store and Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Camillus Mall. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and was past treasurer of Camillus Figure Skating Club. Survivors: Her husband of 38 years, Richard; two daughters, Debbie A. Eccles of Boston and Jennifer M. Klamm of Syracuse; a sister, Sheila M. McGinley of Liverpool; two brothers, James H. Cahill of Camillus and John G. Cahill of Liverpool; and a grandchild. Services: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Whelan Bros. Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Joyce Arkins

Joyce Radway Arkins, 59, of Hamburg died March 5 of lung cancer. Born in Syracuse, she lived 24 years in Marietta before moving in 1967. She graduated in 1960 from Marcellus High School and Auburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She attended Syracuse University. She was a nurse for 34 years, retiring in 2001 after 17 years at West Seneca Developmental Center. She worked at Upstate Medical Center from 1964 to 1967. She was a Christian and a volunteer with the Skating Association for the Blind & Handicapped. Survivors: Two daughters, Cathleen D. Arkins of Hamburg and Joan M. Arkins of Atlanta; two sisters, Joan M. Shinnick and Cheryl Flannery, both of Syracuse. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday in Amber Congregational Church. No calling hours. Leland W. Davis Sr., 77, formerly of 20 N. Beaver St., Jordan, died Saturday at Rosewood Heights Health Center. He was born in Fillmore, Ill. He retired in 1987 as a forklift operator after 29 years at Paul Jeffrey Warehouse, Liverpool, and previously worked at the A&P Warehouse. He was a member of Teamsters Local 317. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 42 years, the former Leona Cummings; a daughter, Sadonna Davis of Park City, Utah; three sons, Calvin of Pulaski, Cecil of Bruce, Fla., and Leland Jr. of Baldwinsville; a stepdaughter, Carol Reed of Jordan; a stepson, Raymond Koehler of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Charles D. Hays, 71, of Sun City Center, Fla., died Thursday. Born in Sidney, he lived 36 years in North Syracuse before moving to Sun City Center in 2000. He attended Syracuse University and Rutgers University and graduated from the American Institute of Banking. He worked at Lincoln National Bank for 18 years and Merchants National Bank for 15 years. He was a member of North Syracuse Jaycees, the Rotary Club, Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church and Centerville Masonic Lodge. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 50 years, the former Marie Raymond; a daughter, Nancy Pooley of Brewerton; two sons, Jeffrey of Cicero and Paul of Liverpool; two sisters, Corinne Kramer of  South Carolina and Delores Hays of Tennessee; nine grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired as a captain after 17 years with the National Guard.
